2.3 kd here and the best thing you can do is try not to force it, skill will come with time. Also aim trainings will always help in any shooter so maybe find an aim trainer online?
I had no friends and was so nervous when I first started playing Hunt that I only did quickplay. By the time I was prestige 2 I felt comfortable enough for bounties and I ended up being more confident and efficient than the people I got matched with.
Different story for me, I never liked Quckplay at all for no appearent reason. I have 600 hours in game and 95% of that is Random Trios, maybe 20 total Quickplay games with 5-6 wins. I just don't play it...
I'd say yeah. You adapt to the engine, flow and aim sensitivity of the game. You get a feel of the guns, range, damage needed etc. Learn maps for positioning, layout and entrances. Knowledge of the maps and especially compounds is very important for maneuvering and hearing better. Say you hear glass on the right, but there are 3 levels next to you. You know that there is glass on the top floor and now know exactly where the enemy is. You might see new tactics and techniques when fighting enemy players that you can adapt to your own playstyle. Might see a good spot or two, too. And most importantly, you learn how to stay calm and engage without any fear. QP is free and you can only gain something, so try out stuff and have fun.
Mechanically speaking I got better at PvP by taking as many fights as I could. Engaging in as many fights as I could, even if at a disadvantage, to create an environment where I had to figure out a way to win. The muscle memory from years of other FPS games gave me a head start, so another way is actively watching videos and learning. Loadout videos, patch note videos, streams, etc. you can pick up a lot of game knowledge which will elevate your own gameplay further down the road.
I almost always get mosins when i play quickplay for some reason, makes wellsprings much more interesting, especially given how i almost never see anyone till i open it meaning i can just rush it. Really feels nice being the first person there but my last match I got randomly extracted like half way through the wellspring and got soul survivor without seeing a single hunter which was odd.
Personaly I always prefer go with quickplay first, and then go with the hunter in bounty mode. I don't really care if I lose a hunter I just bought with cash. But that hunter with 3 random traits I picked up while pvp/pve-ing, with weapons I scavanged from the field, that escaped with the well depleating on him only to reach the border of the zone I can move in, forcing me to dig in and wait my pursuers to then FINALLY nail that man in the head with a nice shot. Yea, I care about that hunter.
i just started playing QP few months ago and it 100% has helped me get better as keeping calm, and aiming better in tense situations. my friends has mentioned how well my performance has improved when im getting shot from multiple angles at one, and how my aim has improved
I think there are a lot of people who are scared of engagements when there is a risk. Even in Battle Royal games. One of the top tips is to get in fights early and often to try increase your skill. Quickplay let’s you experiment with different guns with hardly any consequences.
As a noob, it's giving me the confidence to move fast and to fight quiet while the last half is giving me a crash course in 1v1 strategy. Unfortunately my other 2 buddies aren't so into the meta so trios is a mess.
I avoid QP because every time I've played it, it's always a shotgun sitting underground or in a building with nobody fighting and everyone just waiting around for someone to make a move
That's the thing, become wellspring first :D But in QP there is tons of stuff lying around so you can practice pushing people defending. Because people defend Bounty-Lairs in Bounty Hunt too
They should add a Deathmatch map with literally no downside, just to learn the guns, the game and all about it, just to in quick and fast on a small map with infinite deathmatch respawns... would be a good start to get the muscle memory needed for this game...

No need to get better when you're already king Mike ;). A friend of mine will definitely find this video a treat, but I'm afraid quickplay can't fix his intense panicking. Been looking forward to a new vid from you regardless.
I think a good practice is grinding quickplay to fill your roster with Soul Survivors and then playing BH until you run out of them and do that over again, at least until you get to a point where you can hear footsteps and not immediately start having violent tremors and heart palpatations lol. QP doesn't give you a ton of opportunity to practice long/medium range fights (unless you Rift rush, get wellspring and then play it from a field instead of hiding in a barn like a coward) but it DOES give you experience just being in combat and listening for movement and moving through compounds, so it is a good way to develop core compentency to the point that you can actually handle BH combat without bottling.
You forgot a good part about QP, you get some experiences with multiple weapons. As someone that doesn't like shotguns in most games I tried not to use them, which didn't go to well in QP :p So I started using them, getting used to how close people had to be, and also how far I had to be to survive a shotgun blast. Which has helped me quite a bit! Also, did not expect to actually start liking the Romero (?) shotgun. Which caused me to experiment with the Romero hatched in BH.
It doesn't have to be that way. When I'm the wellspring, I love to go to an island in the marsh (depending on where I got the spring ofc), trap the routes if possible and snipe whoever tries to get to me because let's be honest, most people play with a shotgun. Try it, you'll see how fun it is :D
I have confidence in my own abilities and playing solo, it’s unpredictable team mates that throw all tactics out the window, but that can be the fun of it right?

For the kind of player Iam that happens very rarely in trios or duos. People who feel uncomfortable playing hunt alone should really give quickplay a try IMO. Super new player here. I'm wondering how you realized another hunter was in the building at 6:50. Did you hear something? And at what point did you realize they were there?
You forgot the real reason we play quickplay.... Our friends aren't around to play with us. xD On a serious note, the majority of the gameplay I get is in quickplay and you're spot on about trying to chase the wellspring guy if he's bunkered down with traps and hardcore turtling with a shotgun. It's almost faster to kill everyone else, and then just quit the match and load into a new match for more combat rather than try to bust a wellspring bunker holding a crown and king at the end. :)
qp for me is kinda way to get the map layout better, to find you preferred spots on each bouts. well for me anyway since thats how i got to find my good places.
@@PsychoghostGaming thanks foe noticing. before the trials its my best place to learn the map since it dont have any loss if i die. but now its more of how to deal with players pathing.
Im playing 230h now in hunt. For whole 200h i made no real improvement untill i played 4 full evenings in quickplay only. I saw a huge skill improvement and now im performing much better on bounty hunt. I strongly recommend you guys to play quickplay but not one two or ten, Play like 50 or more rounds and you will see what will happen
Same here, they introduced quickplay when i had around 200 hours. One day decided to play 2-3 full evenings of quickplay without caring about winning or loosing, just learning, and it helped so much to keep calm and focused during fights.
@@Antaiseito yea, i sterted playing quicplay just to farm event points during halloween event . I started with KD 0.5 and suprisingly i win some matches. My whole 20 slots hunters "eq" was full of cool tier 3 hunters with good weapons and my KD go 1.10. I thougt then - yea thats so cool i see real profit from it now and real improvement, im starting to kill others. But best came after that. I went bounty hunt again and from a man who was killed from nowhere i started to be a hunter, stealthy, aware, and i see people now, can catch them offguard. I said to all my friends - PLAY QP! andthey was like - ok man, right, ok, whatever. And they play bonty hunt all the time and now they are downed im left alone and i kill 2, somethimes 3 players solo and pick my friends from the ground. Its insane how 4-5 days of QP changed my skill. Nobody believe me. My bonty hunt KD rised in few days from 0.8 to 0.95 because now im leaving matches with 3,4 kills average.
90% of the time I don't see or even hear other hunters in Quickplay. I'm connecting to NA East. I thought I was king of the block for a hot minute there, then I realized, fuck, there isn't anyone else on here. Ah well.
I forgot to add. If you got any pull with the Dev team (you are pretty popular in the community after all). Custom/private matches. Or whatever it's called. The ability for us to get a lobby of teams/players together and set up a match with those specific people. Suggest it. Seriously. Not only would it be good for the community (being able to organize more communtiy events between some of you creator types) it would be great for giving players the ability to get more pvp practice in with the different weapon types and such (even just being able to grab your two buddies in your trio and do some 1v1v1's would give good combat practice/training options) Just a thought.
Quickplay is exactly how I got better at hunt. Target practice with the chance to win a great prize. If you lose, no money, hunter, gear lost. If anything you can do well, still die and STILL make money off of it.
Idk, Im new, im bad, but im smart. I play free Hunters only, I buy Bows and pistols ( later loot something out) This way my economy is more then Healthy. Im Lv 79. (Every hunter i Retire early) After 100lv my plan is to stack 50lv hunters. And after which i will finaly spend money on stuff like Guns above 120 bucks... Quickplay feels boring to me, so i play mainly Solo, since i got no friends
That try on the barrel bait was not to bad tbh. But that dude at 14:34 was so overstrained by you leaving the house like: "dude that's against the rules". :D
Glad to know I'm not the only crazy one to rush as the wellspring! To the extent of your knowledge, is there a better time to play QP? Last time I gave it a go I was either alone on the map or with one other player...
Another problem with QP is that it doesn't teach you how to fight against two people. Just like Dark Souls, I'm actually pretty decent against one single guy, but two of them and I get dropped fast. Even with a partner, it's still a problem. I can't deal with danger from two different directions.
-Mosin+Saber -Hiding in the lighthouse behind Ironwork -Concentina tripwire+Concentina bomb -Chokebomb -Flash bomb for backup Good fuckin luck trying to kill me~ Ps: 8:04 this is why shotgun is a love/hate relationship, the first shot was dead on and still didn't kill her
4:10 Does any one have an Idea, what the new Boss that is coming out, will be? I remember hearing that the Devs wanted to release a 4th Boss to the game Before next year.
I love quick play. It is a great way to make some quick cash, free hunters with traits and gear again saving money, plus I love killing players and especially with a pitchfork because in QP I don't care and have more fun doing crap I cant do in Bounty Hunt. I do think it has made me a better solo vs trio player though because of the multiple players collapsing in on the wellspring holder. It makes you more paranoid lol. But QP is fun and it's a good way to get warmed up for Bounty Hunt. I agree with most of your points and I encourage more people to play quick play its fun and fast paced. It's done in like 10 minutes where Bounty can draw out for a while and you may get nothing out of it. Great vid as usual Mike.
One tactic I use when I open the wellspring first and carrying a long rifle is to wait for them to come closer to the compound and then LEAVE and open up a gap where I can freely shoot them while they scramble to make up the distance. No one expects you to leave the compound, yet the game allows for a massive area to play in.
Y’all having a different experience than me. Hunt is my first PC title and I just got into it a month ago. I get nothing but waxed in QP. Not much opportunity to get better when I get snap headshot by pistols 76m away.
I love quickplay, nothing to lose really. I'm trying to get that prestiege 50 winny so I just get a bunch of survivors then do 1 bounty and retire them.
You mentioned you haven’t been using the pax much, do you not care for it, or just need variety? I love it, I have an easier time leading with it than any other gun. But then, I use other guns plenty 😁
Europe and Russia servers are so empty that everybody is camping at the extraction point and three game out of four I don't met an ennemy player until the bounty is extracting. Is there more people on US servers ?
Quickplay is great.. risk free environment and decent reward.. but it just isn't populated and gets a bit boring.. has anyone ever asked crytek to make quickplay duo mode? You and your partner have to separate gear amongst yourselves.. this would be awesome for new players to work together in a risk free higher reward area and get a general knowledge for the game.
Well... Quickplay actually punishes you if you fail. Sure, you don't lose stuff, but you still wait to connect. It punishes you by making you have to wait.
MANEEEEEE. I play one match before I play with my friend so I can get readjusted. I didn’t last time and my homeboy Wrecked while I died quick. I like the fast paced but just like you said , I don’t learn a weapon and it’s really hard for me to win that 1v1. I’ve never won a quick play 😂😂
A "luxury" of OCE servers is, because of lower player base, QP matches usually have only 4 players tops. I get all my bounty hunters from winning QP and can literally not spend money fast enough. Also can play aggressive AF because all my hunters are basically free. Down side is that QP never has team fights so, as a solo, I often get rekt by trying to fight in BH like I do in QP. Never boring tho 🤣
I would love to play Quickplay if there would be much more players cause outside of events it seems nearly impossible. Everytime I've tried in US EAST even on weekends, I was always alone with 1-2 players, boring as F! Like since official release I may have 1000-1100H, I've played less than 5 QP matches :/ Not missing the Chrismas event this time!
Just asking, never saw it before but, what happens if the wellspring and the killer of wellspring are both dying throuhg the same Dynamite or frag? Can someone take it up then like a bounty?

Nice :D GG
Super new player here. I'm wondering how you realized another hunter was in the building at 6:50. Did you hear something? And at what point did you realize they were there?
Steps gave them away :D
You forgot the real reason we play quickplay.... Our friends aren't around to play with us. xD
On a serious note, the majority of the gameplay I get is in quickplay and you're spot on about trying to chase the wellspring guy if he's bunkered down with traps and hardcore turtling with a shotgun. It's almost faster to kill everyone else, and then just quit the match and load into a new match for more combat rather than try to bust a wellspring bunker holding a crown and king at the end. :)
To be fair though: You can actually practice pushing turtle players without consequences. That is hard in BH and the turtles exist in both game modes
@@PsychoghostGaming Good point. :)
qp for me is kinda way to get the map layout better, to find you preferred spots on each bouts. well for me anyway since thats how i got to find my good places.
Valid point :D
@@PsychoghostGaming thanks foe noticing.
before the trials its my best place to learn the map since it dont have any loss if i die. but now its more of how to deal with players pathing.
Im playing 230h now in hunt. For whole 200h i made no real improvement untill i played 4 full evenings in quickplay only. I saw a huge skill improvement and now im performing much better on bounty hunt. I strongly recommend you guys to play quickplay but not one two or ten, Play like 50 or more rounds and you will see what will happen
Sweet man :D
Last few times I’ve played quick play, I’ve had no one else in the server
Dunno, but NA East, Russia and EU work well for me
Are you on console? QP on console is generally dead for me (NA East/west) unless it’s night time.
90% of the time I don't see or even hear other hunters in Quickplay. I'm connecting to NA East. I thought I was king of the block for a hot minute there, then I realized, fuck, there isn't anyone else on here. Ah well.
I admire your honesty and integrity
Thank you :)
"Just use all the consumables you see" I'm 300 hours deep and I had not thought of this? God damnt.
:D
I forgot to add. If you got any pull with the Dev team (you are pretty popular in the community after all).
Custom/private matches. Or whatever it's called. The ability for us to get a lobby of teams/players together and set up a match with those specific people. Suggest it. Seriously. Not only would it be good for the community (being able to organize more communtiy events between some of you creator types) it would be great for giving players the ability to get more pvp practice in with the different weapon types and such (even just being able to grab your two buddies in your trio and do some 1v1v1's would give good combat practice/training options)
Just a thought.
Maybe one day :)
Quickplay is exactly how I got better at hunt. Target practice with the chance to win a great prize. If you lose, no money, hunter, gear lost. If anything you can do well, still die and STILL make money off of it.
True :D
The barrel bait was excellent, his bad luck to play against me lmao
Mike, thx for making this. This wil help me a lot in the future. Ps the stream for jester day was a lot of fun
Kep up the good work 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad to know I'm not the only crazy one to rush as the wellspring!
To the extent of your knowledge, is there a better time to play QP? Last time I gave it a go I was either alone on the map or with one other player...
I mean during the evening is always good. If it gets super late add NA East instead of Russia
yes it is. You can practice pvp, get to know different guns and map and dont risk losing any of your characters.
Yap :D
10:28 was so painful to watch because that has happened to me many times!
Yeah :(
Another problem with QP is that it doesn't teach you how to fight against two people. Just like Dark Souls, I'm actually pretty decent against one single guy, but two of them and I get dropped fast. Even with a partner, it's still a problem. I can't deal with danger from two different directions.
I mean, learn to fight one and then two :D
Nice wallbang to win the match, GG's!
GG :D
-Mosin+Saber
-Hiding in the lighthouse behind Ironwork
-Concentina tripwire+Concentina bomb
-Chokebomb
-Flash bomb for backup
Good fuckin luck trying to kill me~
Ps: 8:04 this is why shotgun is a love/hate relationship, the first shot was dead on and still didn't kill her
The tower is dirty ^^
4:10 Does any one have an Idea, what the new Boss that is coming out, will be?
I remember hearing that the Devs wanted to release a 4th Boss to the game Before next year.
I think that the next new boss is a mixed crow and scarecrow voodoo witch
@@dayneanderson3801 That Sounds Pretty cool. :)
Nothing official yet D:
Great points - Thanks man :)
bro that John Marston scream was good lol
Glad to hear that ^^
I play on Xbox and I gotta say, 30fps has been so brutal. I used to play on pc but it broke so I just play everything on console now.
Hope they bring a next gen version soon
I think QP has definitely made me a better player. Gives you a strong starting hunter too.
Glad to hear :D
Great video!! Your game intuition is 2nd to none!
Has to be because my aim sucks :D
Does anyone else have trouble finding small slots on QP? I can’t match my large slots because everything else is medium or paired pistols
Sometimes, yes. I just play with whatever I can find :D I only ditch the poison crossbow >:D
One tactic I use when I open the wellspring first and carrying a long rifle is to wait for them to come closer to the compound and then LEAVE and open up a gap where I can freely shoot them while they scramble to make up the distance. No one expects you to leave the compound, yet the game allows for a massive area to play in.
Absolutely. Especially since you have now always a medkit
I wonder why the Nagant Precision doesn't allow fanning. It doesn't have a double action mechanism. : o
I guess because of the stock
Really do enjoy these types of videos.
Glad to hear!
Hmm for the new Boss, was it a big Krokedil or a Werwolf. 🤔
We will have to wait :D
@@PsychoghostGaming 😋
Y’all having a different experience than me. Hunt is my first PC title and I just got into it a month ago. I get nothing but waxed in QP. Not much opportunity to get better when I get snap headshot by pistols 76m away.
I'm always scared of that 1 guy who decides to rush me with a fucking knife. Fuck those guys, I always miss all my shots on them ;D
I love quickplay, nothing to lose really. I'm trying to get that prestiege 50 winny so I just get a bunch of survivors then do 1 bounty and retire them.
Works :D
7:06 sombody has my name
GG ^^
In answer to the sticky bomb question the game was preparing you for your epic sticky bomb extract kill lol
I guess :D
very spicy
You mentioned you haven’t been using the pax much, do you not care for it, or just need variety? I love it, I have an easier time leading with it than any other gun. But then, I use other guns plenty 😁
I play it sometimes for dual wield. Otherwise I prefer for fanning the compact versions and for long range the Uppercut
Europe and Russia servers are so empty that everybody is camping at the extraction point and three game out of four I don't met an ennemy player until the bounty is extracting.
Is there more people on US servers ?
Yep! Though it feels like you play the same people a lot, at least you have full servers a lot.
I get some action games on EU and RU. However I found a couple more extraction campers lately.
14:34 He charged you with a bayonette
A+ for effort ^^
Quickplay is great.. risk free environment and decent reward.. but it just isn't populated and gets a bit boring.. has anyone ever asked crytek to make quickplay duo mode? You and your partner have to separate gear amongst yourselves.. this would be awesome for new players to work together in a risk free higher reward area and get a general knowledge for the game.
Maybe one day we get a duo mode :D
Superb map knowledge 🙂
Thanks 🙂
You will one day :D
NOW I HAVE TO WIN
How my Quickplays end 90 percent of the time.... Romero to my dome last fight😂😂😢
In Bounty hunt I lost maybe 10 times in a row, but in Quickplay I destroyed everyone and won many matches in a row :)
GG ^^
@@PsychoghostGaming 👍😁👍
A "luxury" of OCE servers is, because of lower player base, QP matches usually have only 4 players tops. I get all my bounty hunters from winning QP and can literally not spend money fast enough. Also can play aggressive AF because all my hunters are basically free.
Down side is that QP never has team fights so, as a solo, I often get rekt by trying to fight in BH like I do in QP. Never boring tho 🤣
Yeah, fighting BH like QP will end bad sometimes :D
I played quickplay until I got the rift achievement, now I don't think I can ever go back. 100% achievements :D
Just have some fun there :D
I would love to play Quickplay if there would be much more players cause outside of events it seems nearly impossible. Everytime I've tried in US EAST even on weekends, I was always alone with 1-2 players, boring as F! Like since official release I may have 1000-1100H, I've played less than 5 QP matches :/
Not missing the Chrismas event this time!
Hm weird. I queue NA East quite a bit and get way bigger engagements D:
Finally. Maybe now I can git gud!
You are already :D Just Hellhounds ...
Sick game win
Thanks :)
Mike, how come your own legendary is a marksman if you don't like scopes? Doesn't make sense to me. Or did you not get to choose a weapon type?
Scopes in quickplay don't help as much as in bounty hunt since the final fight often/usually happens indoors.
@@Antaiseito That’s true, but it doesn’t answer my question.
I like scopes but not in QP
whats the main reason of bunny hop?see if someone around or avoiding headshot?
A jumping target is harder to hit
Im 300 hours into this game and ive killed maybe 2 people with consumables, any tips? They always seem to get me with it
Track foot steps while they run away - cook it just right :D
Phsychoghost is just so freaking good! I'm trying to get better. O_o
Aim higher than for my skill level :D
*never peak if you want to win, I like that
But where is the fun in that? :)
wow.. was ne geile runde!
Danke :D
Do u stream?
pls play more quickplay, had 2 other people in there today
Hopefully more will come :D
Just asking, never saw it before but, what happens if the wellspring and the killer of wellspring are both dying throuhg the same Dynamite or frag? Can someone take it up then like a bounty?
Exactly :)
@@PsychoghostGaming ah ty, never seen this case XD
Good tech mike
