    I really like what you're doing with the little cropped and animated images of the map. Used to convey where you plan on going and why, and also to explain how the map greys out for those who didn't know. Visual aids are awesome, thanks for another helpful guide.

      I still don't understand it very well. I thought that, when you find a clue, the compound you're at greys out for everyone to see. Yet at the very beginning when you find the clue at lumber it does not and you get it crossed instead. Still trying to figure it out completely.

    • @SolarE845
      @SolarE845 3 года назад

      @@NekoinValhalla The map greys out for you when you find a clue. No matter which clue you take i.e. whichever compound you take it from the map will change the same for everyone who has discoverd the same number of clues. The cross on C&A Lumber in Mike's video shows because he discovered the clue here and the boss is not here.

    • @Josh-kx4zo
      @Josh-kx4zo 3 года назад

      @@NekoinValhalla Here’s an example. Picking up clue (1) greys out; Arden Parish, C&A Lumber, and Prison. These compounds are greyed out on every player’s first clue, regardless of where you grab your first clue. So if your first clue is C&A Lumber, it will grey out on the map while you’re there. But if you grab a clue at Salter’s Pork, Salter’s pork won’t grey out while you’re there. You’ll still get a white X to note that you’ve picked up a clue there

    • @NekoinValhalla
      @NekoinValhalla 3 года назад

      Thank you so much everyone for the clarifications. I get it now that the map greys out randomly for everyone at the same clue stage and the cross appears for you because you found the clue at a compound that wasn't to be greyed out for everyone so only you has this info.
      So when Mike opened the map and said "We know people spawned at Hemlock" at 5:26 was it because he heard gunshots from there earlier of did the map give him that info somehow ?

      I also like experimenting a lot, but why not take a Winfield Vandal maybe with Levering instead of the Shotgun? Can sort of give you the answer too better at longer ranges but no Oneshot potential up close except for Headshot. Any other ideas anyone :)

    • @altug4404
      @altug4404 3 года назад

      @@TheSpacemarine1980 I'm gonna say this for my taste ; I think the cut-down / sawn-off weapons are already a bit hard to control to aim with, without the needed perks such as steady hands, you could miss a lot. At least I do. Flechette rounds are a bit RNG. But at least it requires less aiming to do.
      Maybe carrying one gun that doesn't really sway but RNG (shotgun) and one gun that sways but is not RNG (mosin obrez) is better than two guns that sways but aren't RNG.

    The most hilarious thing happened when i tried this loadout today: I went up against a trio who just banished the boss, and one of their team just LEGGED it the hell out of there, ran across the whole map to extract. He just ditched his team mates, and ran. They were fighting me, and by the time i killed two of them, i was like "where is the third?" I didn't even notice until i checked my map and he was half way across the damn map with bounty in hand. I laughed my ass off I had to stop playing i couldn't stop laughing!

    I love flechete with the Rival Hand Cannon. I like to pair it up with the Riposte because people hear it and think "oh, single shot long rifle." Then they push you if you miss on the opener and blammo double flechete pop they start looking like the kool aid man with a busted pitcher and cherry juice dripping all over the place and swipe with the riposte or knuckle knife punch and its lights out. Love the solo play guides man keep up the good work. I don't have a lot of people to play with so solo is my only options 95% of the time and these guides are super helpful and informative. Thanks Mike.

  • @Himbeer-Toni
    @Himbeer-Toni 3 года назад

    Thanks for the tutorial.
    The most interesting thing for me is how far from the target you shoot, depending on the distance.
    For me the biggest challenge is to try my luck alone in trio rounds.
    Trios are deadlier, but often louder and overconfident.
    Due to the necessary scrap beak points, my second weapon is the poison only small crossbow.
    During use it has been shown that you can get through the area quickly and completely silently.
    Killing experienced trios alone is almost impossible, depending on the situation. In 1800 hours it was shown that one can kill undetected in the terrain with quiet weapons, but in 99% of the cases it is killed in places at the notice.
    The biggest kick is when you hear a trio rushing in while you are picking up the hint.
    If you run away, you will be heard by three hunters and worn out. If you stay, the red warning alerts the opponent.
    The end is always the moment when three heads stick their noses around the corner and open fire in fright.
    Neither the Atvomat, nor the Nitro, or anything else takes three enemies under fire at the same time ... except for one ... The explo crossbow, half explo bolts, half normal arrows. You don't have to waste poison arrows on swarms or downstairs, you can also kill from ambush, but if you are surprised at the tip, only the explo crossbow has saved me so far.
    the second before the opponent comes around the corner a bolt in his direction on the ground, the detonation reaches kind of around the corner, unsuspecting they are often together at tight points, the third one at first completely disoriented and damaged instinctively runs off ...
    One shot, two dead, one has to heal ... surprise effect, you can hear grenades boiling, crossbow not.
    The same on doorsteps. When you have practiced the distance you can aim at a door and release the bolt at the right time. Obviously placed traps which are then defused help to keep the target in place.
    Attacking with it is a stupid idea, but the part is very successful for defense at close range.
    In the open air it also helps when you escape if you briefly have smoke between you and the enemy due to the explosion.
    So small double poison crossbow and explo / normal bolts and the patience to assess the trajectory ...
    well it sounds crazy but as long as you defend yourself, the enemy comes close without a clue, the explo crossbow is a winner, as long as you don't get the stupid idea to attack with it ...
    Peeking twice or open range firefights are very bad ideas, almost every fight you where spotted at are bad ideas. Its only surprise mother$§%& in close range what the explo cbow is good for. Even caus
    And running clues alone, fast, silent will bring you a lot surprise meetings with trios.
    Alone i feel myself loud while beeing silent. Trios crossing bridges, doing clues searichg loot feel theirselfes silent but are very often loud.
    So that was a little note about how my single raven point farms loadoaut has developed, and where the strengths are ... if that is of any use ^^

    I think the big double-barrel + uppercut combo is insane in my hands. Basic principle is to open duels with flechette shots and finish them with uppercut. People starts to loose their nerves when bleeding, so it's easy job to finish them (or even scan walls using sound).

For bonus cruelty you can use explosive rounds on the Martini for easy splash damage and then use the Rival for a quick clean up. Personally with the trait part, I will always go for 'beastface'. Because sometimes without, the crows and ducks are soo buggy that I can pet the crows without them flying up. And sometimes they just fly away when I am like 20 metres away from them! Soo annoying.
    Also I would also go for 'Adrenaline', just to make sure I can get away faster once I got hit pretty bad. Further more I would also go for 'Silent Killer', just to make sure I can use my throwing knife to kill them silently. Although I am kinda stepping away from it, it can be good to have. I would rather save it and go for 'Fanning' instead. Even a silenced nagant with fanning can still be a nasty surprise once you get into close combat with another hunter or with an AI that follows you.

    2. Flechette tag and knife rush
    3. Tagging with mosin and finishing with rival
    The flechette may not kill, but the pressure is massive, they migjt even die to bleed.

    very cool thank you for the work. these little animations go so well with the video. your videos give you the courage to play more aggressively than solo. was mostly hidden in the reeds. 🤣🤣 but now I have to die at least one less time to learn. thanks

    @pshyco : Love your videos man. Since the custom ammo I have really taken a liking to the silenced revolver with poison ammo - its so versatile, can one-shot dogs, and two shot armored and immolators (whiteout them exploding). would love some ideas of what you would pair it with. //Duiof

    I think I would be able to perform well in Hunt if I didn't have the hand/arm shake panic mode all the time when I get into pvp engagements. Any advice for overcoming that other than just diving in and out of quickplay to adapt?

    • @arxen4222
      @arxen4222 3 года назад +1

      No easy way, only 100s of hours of practice. You gotta control that adrenaline rush you get when encountering people and approach engagements as cold blooded as possible. You get used to it after a while, this shaking effect will gradually decrease by itself.
      But I would also recommend just a shitton of solo Romero runs. You take Romero with conversion/pax and go blast people.
      1) Using shotgun will force you to stay at the heat of action instead of camping outside of compounds (as we all instinctively did when starting the game because getting close is scary when you can feel safer with scoped rifle at distance).
      2) Single-shot nature of Romero will force you to make that one shot count. I used to bring Bornheim a lot in my first games because it seemed that the price of missed shot is lower, but in reality I just panic emptied my magazine all around the intended target and died. In other words, using Romero or breech loaders will make you git gud much faster then other weapons.
      That, of course, was just my personal experience and may not apply to someone else. I probably spent my first hundred of hours doing just that: creep on duo, try to blast the first guy, figure out how to survive in the mess afterwards. I think that was a great way to get more or less comfortable with the game.
