Thank You Janice for inspiring us to use our imagination in our backyards to go on adventures. Janice Burgess 1952 - 2024 The backyard won’t be the same without you. 💙🧡🩷💛💜
All I gotta really say is rest in peace to janice burgess She really did made a very good show for children. Even though nowadays I don't especially care about it. But it is very sad to see a creator passed away But her Legacy will be miss.
I remember The Backyardigans back in the day, and I enjoy the show, and the only release in terms of DVDs is movers and shakers, which I got it from Goodwill back in early 2020. A piece of trivia that you may not know is that in 1998, there was a pilot call, Me and My Friends, and it was filmed in live action with humans inside the costumes with Less notable moving mouths and blinkable eyes which makes me think of how they made the Barney costume back in 1988. Then, a few years later, they made another pilot, which was called now we know as The Backyardigans, but instead of live action, it was CG. Another fun fact is that not only Zach Tyler Eisen was recognized, not only Avatar, Little Bill, The Ant Bully But also all the way back in 1999 there was a Super Why pilot where he voiced Wee Willy. Rest and peace to this wonderful creator of said show and the executive in charge of Blues Clues Janice Burgess.
And the reason they made the pilot in CG is because, obviously, CG was dominating the entertainment industry with movies such as Shrek and Monsters Inc and video games such as Super Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot.
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that I used to barrow Backyardigans DVD, and high-flying adventures is the most memorable because of Uniqua because she was delivering a singing Telegram.
Nice Backyardigans review! MrAcrizzy if you were to pick seven favorite Backyardigans episodes what would you pick? My favorite Backyardigans episodes are Fly Girl, the great dolphin race, Surf's Up, Quest for the flying rock, Ranch Hands from Outer Space, and Le Master of Disguise, and chichen itza Pizza.
Actually If I have to pick a favorite Backyardigans episode it would be Surf's up because this is the best episode Janice Burgess has ever written! I love the music and Austin's role in the episode is really good plus the songs are excellent! I'll always treasure that episode as a memory of Janice Burgess! ❤
In fact speaking of season 1 my personal favorite episodes from season 1 are Surf's up, The Quest for the flying rock, knights are brave and strong, Monster detectives.
I didn’t know that the creator passed away, that’s so sad. This show is my favorite Nick Jr. Show ever. And I still do love this show a lot I don’t care how old I get I’ll still like my childhood shows. 7:30 Ironically, I still own that DVD too. I also have The Tale of the Mighty Knights DVD, but their both burn discs.
It's funny how you talked about the giant snowball Indiana Jones reference because they did the same Indiana Jones reference in season 3 episode Chichen Itza Pizza but with a giant boulder.
Correction: My favorite Backyardigans episodes of season 1 are Monster detectives, The Quest for the flying rock, Surf's Up, Race around the world, pirate treasure, knights are brave and strong, race to the tower of power, polka palace party, it's great to be a ghost, the yeti, cave party, the heart of the jungle. Correction: My favorite Backyardigans episodes of season 2 are horsing around, special delivery, into the deep, international super spy, cops and robots, Best clowns in Town, the secret of snow, Save the Day, catch that butterfly, News flash, a giant problem, movers of Arabia, The legend of the volcano sisters, The Swamp Creature, whodunnit, scared of you, samurai Pie. Correction: My favorite Backyardigans episodes of season 3 are Le Master of Disguise, fly Girl, The Great dolphin race, caveman's Best Friend, ranch hands from outer space, Chichen itza pizza, what's bugging you, front Page News, escape from Fairytale village, pirate camp, the two musketeers, The masked retriever, tale of the mighty knights, Robin Hood the clean, who goes there, blazing paddles. Correction: My favorite Backyardigans episodes of season 4 are The funnyman Boogeyman, flower power, follow the feather, elephant on the run, super team awesome, The flipper, los galacticos, The magic skateboard, catch that train, robot rampage, attack of the 50 foot worman, break out, for the love of socks, dragon express. Disclaimer: this is the last time I'm saying this and I promise no more changing it no more favorite Backyardigans episodes.
Hey I just had a thought what if the Backyardigans(once fully chlothed) met Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia kinda random crossover I know but just a thought
Awesome review! So sorry about the creator of the show she was born on 3/1/1952 then died on 3/2/2024 her cause of death was breast cancer! Anyway my best favorite character in the show was Austin because purple is one of my favorite colors and kangaroos are one of my favorite animals!
