I really liked the idea & the colors you chose to contrast to look good at the end. You're a such a good sister-in-law, I've never had one but always was there for my brothers & wives, they should really appreciate us lol 😂😅❤😊 Thank you so much 😊
Your video was SO helpful!! I watched the one of your own kitchen first, then found this one. I followed your directions and saved well over $1200 by not buying the countertop i had priced! I have an old kitchen but i painted and antiqued the cupboards, did the countertop like you did, and used peel n stick for the back splash. Such a transformation! I am pleased! I watched many tutorials but yours was the one that gave me the courage to actually do it! Thank you so much!!!
I have been contemplating antiquing my cabinets as well. I would love to see a photo of your end result! Lisa, thank you so much for sharing another video on redoing countertops. Your first video actually got me feeling excited to try it on ours and now this one certainly makes me want to give it a try!
Great transformation! Two years ago I painted our main bathroom countertop. I used your exact technique right up to the sealing. Primer, acrylic paint...using a scrunched up plastic bag and layered 5 different colours. So many people cannot believe that it is a painted faux finish...they truly think it’s a new installation. It has held up beautifully. It doesn’t get the same use as a kitchen countertop but using hot pads and cutting boards they would get almost equal wear. Thankyou so much for sharing...I truly love DIY projects that don’t break the bank, but yet gives you awesome results. This kitchen looks very high end now and very much updated...great job!!
I really enjoyed this video. I been thinking about painting my countertop to give it a update high-end look. Thanks for sharing your diy talent. Love the countertop. God Blessings Always 🙏 💯❤️
You did a beautiful job again. Yes, I saw your first transformation. So happy I found this video. I did a transformation myself a few years ago and it came out wonderfully. I did apply epoxy and it lasted years. I did putty and sand the lines where counters were joined, not everyone has to. Great job! I also did my tub and I will Never use the rustoleum 2 part kit again. If you plan on doing it, use marine paint, boats are under water for months and the paint is meant for things that are submerged in water. The rustoleum kit started peeling after just 2 months and it also yellowed. Never again.
This is amazing. I love it. I'm definitely doing this. I'm redoing my kitchen and dont want to spend a ton. This is perfect. Thank you for sharing. Its beautiful
I’m very interested in painting my countertops, and would love any tips you could offer. The colors you used for your brother’s are actually the ones that would work perfectly in my kitchen.
those counter tops look AMAZING …. wow.. you are so talented Lisa... I would MAKE A MESS if I tried to do this and it would probably look awful.. lol Great Job... God bless..
7 months or so later how are they holding up? I used your video and did my own this weekend. Loving them!!! Hope they last for at least a year. Let me know how yours are doing. Please and thanks~
They are very beautiful. Is it heat resistant with the microwave on there and like an air fryer? And a coffee pot just wondering if they would get hot and chip. I'm fixing to paint mine. Trying to get brave enough LOL
Hi! Loved your video. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm in the middle of attempting to duplicate your techniques. After the first coat of 2 acrylics, I noticed the countertop is very rough. Did you do any sanding between layers? Or before clearcut? Thank you!
I just LOVE this am going to do it down to the exact colors. I am earth tones and not into the greys that are trending right now. Earth tones are forever! lol And I would also absolutely LOVE to know what color the soft yellow on the back splash is, please? and what brand- I would be forever thankful as you most likely well know "yellow" is a tough one. Sometimes to bright, to bold, too- too- too- too! And I have enough samples to paint a house and still nothing I am in love with. I would love to see what this yellow looks like in my house with my lighting- your awesome... thank you!! : )
We did it this Way in our Bathroom countertops some years ago …unless you willing to keep filling spots what over time use started loosen up …it’s not such good Idea ! I’m about to sand down the Counters & come up with a new Way ! I wish you good Luck ! 🤞🏼
Hello, nice work. I would like to know what kind of paint you have used. Is it a FABRIC acrylic paint? Paint which we use for cloth. Explain please.thank you
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead hello lisa thAnk you for the quick response. Can you help, so i have a concrete countertop and want to make the same marble effect. So where should i start.
@@soondurprithvi6361 I'm certainly not an expert, and haven't ever worked with concrete. I would Google info as much as I could, and see if you can find some tutorials for exactly what you are working with here on RUclips ♡
thanks so much!!! This was my brother's countertop. Now here's some history lol.......they have 4 young kiddos.....that is a busy kitchen!!! 6 months later still looks new, so we are really pleased. Thanks for watching!
I saw this done and it looks so nice. I was worried when the sienna was put on, you covered it up so I wouldn't have even used it. I love it. How many coats of the clear coat did you use?
yeh, we were thinking it was going to look way different then it did......although, I do think it lends an effect on the overall look now even though you can barely see any of the brown now....We did 3 coats of clear :)
Its been over a year....there is one small nick near sink....they have 4 small kids and their counter tops get heavy use....so I'd say this holds up nicely
Lisa, I love it! I think I might use your method for my makeup room on the wall. It has a large mirror. So the actual wall minus the trim and doors is less than the counter top you just did. Or do you have a different suggestion for walls... i want to give a tropical ocean appearance to the walls
that sounds like an amazing idea! If I were doing a wall....I might add in some transparent glaze although I don't really know that would be 100% necessary. Keep me updated if you give this a go...I'd love to know how it goes :)
@@JessLaFesse82 I havent yet. My dad got sick and we were driving several times a week an hour away to the critical care hospital, now hes on hospice care. @@Kitkat-mn5ud Oh okay Hang on tight! For the wall, in my opinion, it s really outdated. Putting another wallpaper over would be easier. There are kinds of wallpaper that is a printed picture of the nature for instance. Or painting over the wallpaper is a quick fix. Or just accepting things the way they are :) Take care and go to your own pace :)

A year later and they still look brand new like they were just completed. That's including every day full use with four kids haha
That looks good Awesome I'll look in to do this lovely look thank you from Mineola, Tx.
Thank you so much Gina!
So nice to hear from you. Did the clearcoat smooth the acrylics? If you recall
It did, but it took a lot of patience and a lot of coats! If I had it all over to do again I would probably epoxy it :)
Great job. We were trying a sponge. Trash bag here we come thanks
Very nice i was budgeting for a new countertop but i think i should do this instead.
Wow came out amazing
beautiful job!

Hello dear Lisa, I loved your artistic work That s gorgeous. About the clear coat finish maybe apply less thick or another quality of roller. Love!
I totally agree, I think that would work better :)

They are ordinary acrylic paints. If you add a fabric medium then yes, they would become fabric paint.
