@erikastevens9249 No, when you breathe through it, there isn’t any sound. If you blow too hard, you will hear a slight noise, but they aren’t designed to be used that way. Hope that helps!
Technically, yes, but it’s designed to use for exhaling through. Just take a long inhale without it, and then put The Shift to your lips and exhale. The idea is that it extends the length of time that you exhale. Longer exhales = lower heart rate = parasympathetic nervous system state. Hope that helps!
@zed25697 congrats for 2 years! You’ve done it before and can do it again! If you get a Shift, come back and let me know how it works for breaking the habit. 😊
@mjc32991 I have witnessed my heart rate on my Fitbit drop from the high 90s to high 60s after just a few breaths with it so I can imagine it would be helpful to you during those anxiety moments. My anxiety isn’t what it used to be, but I know that my heart rate increases when I’m having an attack. I think the biggest benefits will come by using the necklace daily, even when you don’t “need” it. This will help reset your nervous system and overtime, when we do things to help us stay calm, you’ll notice less and less anxious moments. Before getting the necklace, I developed a daily yoga habit and through that was a lot of breath work. So from my experience, I can say that my anxiety got better once I prioritized doing things that helped put me into a calm, resting state. 😊
Have you read the book Breath by James Nestor? I would highly recommended. It talks about the importance of both slow exhales as well as slow inhales.
Not yet! I have a copy of it in my To Be Read pile. ☺️ I plan to film a review of the book when I finish reading it.
Dose these make noise

Can you inhale through this?
