Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Lauren. I'm so glad you love it. Can't wait to hear more as you get into it.
Thanks, Heather! I’m looking forward to it! 😊
2 and whatever that is 😂 girl math! I love it
🤣 I didn’t have the brain bandwidth to dig deep and remember how to read the lines on the ruler. 🤪
It’s pretty! Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome!
Have you read the book Breath by James Nestor? I would highly recommended. It talks about the importance of both slow exhales as well as slow inhales.
Not yet! I have a copy of it in my To Be Read pile. ☺️ I plan to film a review of the book when I finish reading it.
Dose these make noise
@erikastevens9249 No, when you breathe through it, there isn’t any sound. If you blow too hard, you will hear a slight noise, but they aren’t designed to be used that way. Hope that helps!
Very helpful. Thanks
@cindycat8528 I’m glad you found this helpful! Thanks for watching! ☺️
Great planner - I used an A6, but the Monday start on the monthly pages just ruined it for me.
Yeah, Monday start monthly’s hurt my brain. lol
This needs to be in their regular planner lineup 😭
Agreed!
I picked up one of the 2024 A6's at a discount to try it out as my personal EDC. The ONLY thing that I don't like is that the weekly overview is on the right side of that page instead of the left. I wish it was on the left leaving a column on the right. That would enable me to make columns for each day of the week that are half a page wide. As it is I'm using that space to the left of the weekly overview as my "monday" area. The Take A Note planner puts the overview on the left and has dated day columns instead of blank pages, I think that's what I'm going with for 2025.
I see what you mean. That would be a cool way to split the pages. Your planner pick for 2025 sounds like a good fit for you! Thanks for watching!
The A note (especially akin A432hz or A444hz tuning) is the lullaby note. Like Bach “Goldberg Variations in A,” which he wrote for an earl who couldn’t sleep. Even The Cure’s “Lullaby” was written in A major. I’m wondering if this gadget uses the A note as part of helping you sleep.
@acoustic-rabbit-hole There is a sleep sound called “432 Hz Ambience”. The rest of the sleep sounds include green noise, pink noise, white noise, brown noise, rain, thunderstorm, ocean, water, forest, owls, crickets, campfire, singing bowls, vacuum, fan, train, road trip, hair dryer, and dishwasher. In the unwind music collections, there are some classical options from Beethoven, Debussy, Mozart, etc. And that’s just that collection. There are a total of 21 collections for unwinding music. While I had my 30 day free trial, I didn’t try out too many of them, but now that I don’t have the membership, I can still preview the music. I’m planning to pay for one month so that I can change up my routine because I want to change my current unwind music to something different. I’m glad that it has so many options to pick from. I hope that helps you with making a decision!
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans Thank you! I so appreciate such a quick reply! I’m an experimental musician working on what I call my Theory of Pitch psychology. Therefore, for example I’d be taking note not just the tempo and mood of the chosen Mozart and Debussy tracks, but the literal key itself. For example, a piece in C-sharp would be very disruptive to sleep, as it is a very brash key. It’s interesting about the A-432 sound they use, because, as I was saying, the A note itself is, I believe, conducive to sleep. A a happy coincidence! You are all welcome to come “C” my work here at _The Acoustic Rabbit Hole!_
@Acoustic-Rabbit-Hole so awesome! I had no idea about this until your first comment, so I appreciate you letting me know about the correlation. It makes sense that some music is best for sleep versus others. If we think about it, when we watch movies, the type of music used during scenes can “set the mood” one way or another. If they pick the wrong music, it can send the audience the wrong message. So it makes sense that the same goes for what we listen to before we sleep. Probably shouldn’t listen to a playlist designed for an intense cardio workout before bed. 😏

I think it's a really interesting idea and seems like it has good info for those who have just started to get their period. I got off BC last year and started my flow again after years of not having it so I think something like this would of been great then. In terms of a woman's cycle and the moon cycle. I have a 27 day cycle and I do notice I get my period either around the new moon or the full moon.
Thanks for sharing! And thanks for watching! I love the idea of women learning about cycle syncing early in life so that they learn how to honor their bodies needs. Most productivity advice has to do with what works for men and cycle syncing is a great guilty free way for women to do what’s best for their current phase. I swear I feel like I’ve gotten more of the right things done since learning about it. I can’t imagine how my life would look if I would have learned 20+ years ago!
Thank you for this!! 🙏🏼 i was bouta buy it you said there was purchases in the app $200 and for ONLY 30 DAYS!!?? Trippin, it aint all that thank you!
You’re welcome!
I like the design😍
Agree. I like how small it is. Takes up barely any space on my nightstand. Thanks for watching!

I had a thought watching this, that the last page that seems irrelevant on the petite planner (monthly goals page) could be used for the missing first month’s goal layout :) thanks for the reviews ☺️
🤣 true! Thanks for watching!
3:16 tbh that’s trash of Hatch to hide the routine feature behind a paywall. The entire purpose of the alarm clock is to help develop better sleeping habits via routines, wtf!
Yeah. It was a little annoying they decided to do that. However, once you get the routine set up with the free trial, if you drop your subscription, you won’t be kicked out of the routine so at least they didn’t take that away. I do have a review coming this week of another clock that doesn’t have a membership and it has routines. That one might be a good option if Hatch isn’t a fit for you. Plus, it’s way cheaper.
@@CreatingSelfCarePlansthank you for the honest review! It was super refreshing. I learned about this alarm clock through TikTok and of course no one there is being honest, it’s all about the aesthetic. But I appreciate you being both transparent and fair. I will likely still buy it since I work overnight and like the color sunrise features, but definitely disappointed to hear about the subscription (though good to know I can set my routine in the free trial) and the limited soundscapes.
@missym877 well it was my pleasure to help balance out the influencers. 😉
@@CreatingSelfCarePlanshello! Where is that video ? Or what’s the product’s name ?

Why do you unplug your WiFi at night?
Our WiFi is set up in our bedroom and the lights bother me so I unplug it when I go to bed. 😊
@@CreatingSelfCarePlansJust put something on your router or something
@PhilGerb93 It’s not that big a deal for me to unplug it. 😊
Do you need WiFi?
Yes, to set it up, it needs to connect to WiFi. Also, if you need to make changes, like the time the alarm goes off, it needs to be connected to WiFi. The alarm will work if the WiFi is off. I always turn off my WiFi at night so I always need to make sure I make changes before unplugging the WiFi. One of the frustrating things have been how many times I’ve unplugged my internet before realizing that I needed to change my alarm and I’ll have to wait for the internet to come back on for me to change it. Hope that answers your question.
I’m glad that I watched this before I got this as a gift for someone thank you
Happy to help! 😊
I just ordered (from JoAnn's for Pick Up) a slightly different version of the Petite Planner version. This one doesn't have the habit tracker, but like the spiral version, it has spots to write out your daily steps, sleep time, and water intake. I prefer it without a habit tracker because I'm not interested in setting step goals, etc. I just want a neutral space to log what I did each day (but I also want something extremely portable).
Awesome!
Can you inhale through this?
Technically, yes, but it’s designed to use for exhaling through. Just take a long inhale without it, and then put The Shift to your lips and exhale. The idea is that it extends the length of time that you exhale. Longer exhales = lower heart rate = parasympathetic nervous system state. Hope that helps!
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans it does, im a smoker who quit for 2 years and definitely need something cause ive been relapsing
@zed25697 congrats for 2 years! You’ve done it before and can do it again! If you get a Shift, come back and let me know how it works for breaking the habit. 😊
I’m thinking about getting one. I need to quit smoking and I suffer with anxiety and panic too
@mjc32991 I have witnessed my heart rate on my Fitbit drop from the high 90s to high 60s after just a few breaths with it so I can imagine it would be helpful to you during those anxiety moments. My anxiety isn’t what it used to be, but I know that my heart rate increases when I’m having an attack. I think the biggest benefits will come by using the necklace daily, even when you don’t “need” it. This will help reset your nervous system and overtime, when we do things to help us stay calm, you’ll notice less and less anxious moments. Before getting the necklace, I developed a daily yoga habit and through that was a lot of breath work. So from my experience, I can say that my anxiety got better once I prioritized doing things that helped put me into a calm, resting state. 😊
So if you have 2 devices would you need a subscription for each of them? Or could you add 2 devices under the annual subscription?
No. You only need one subscription and that will carry for each device you have. help.hatch.co/hc/en-us/articles/24364198039319-Do-I-need-Hatch-for-each-Hatch-I-own 😊
thank you this was very helpful! Its on sale sooo i may be getting it
I’m glad you found it helpful!
Love this video. Thanks for showing this planner to us. If they keep it that size, or even make it as a 7x9 for more writing space, that would be awesome.
That would be awesome! Thanks for watching!
Wow this years DD changes have so much potential for ONE-PLANNER PEACE! LOL.
For real!☺️
Prior to buying the LD did you watch any of the videos are view the measurements on her website? It’s such as expensive planner to not use. I used my horizontal LD from Jan through May of this year….was fully aware of its size…..thought heavily about switching to her mini BUT I started watching BUJO videos and fell in love. I ordered an Aura Estelle and went ahead and started using it last month and what I LOVE about it is its size and how I enjoy taking it EVERYWHERE bc it fits in my purse. I didn’t want ppl at work seeing all my business in my LD and so I smaller planner helps with that if I have to pull it out in “public”. I’m going to use my LD for something just don’t know what. Probably to plan family dinners and keep up with children’s homework when school starts again.
The LD I bought was the project planner and I bought it when they were on sale because it was after the year already started. That’s typically when I will buy a planner that I’m not sure about. I was fully aware of the size and had a feeling that it could be too big but I was okay with that risk. Other content creators were using it for content planning so I thought maybe I could, too. Plus, I have a channel where I review planers so I was fine with that experiment so that I can give my own feedback to others. The quality of the planner is great. The size wasn’t the only reason I switched back. But it won’t go to waste. I might give it away or I could easily redate it if I want to try using it in the future. I’m glad you enjoyed your LD and now you’re Aura Estelle. Thanks for watching! ☺️
I have not had an issue with the MakseLife coils. I would let them know you are having that issue. Could also be an issue with an oil or something they use in manufacturing.
Yeah, it’s something. The same thing happened with an EC planner pouch zipper. So it’s definitely something these “metal” pieces are made from.
I’ve been on the hunt for these planners because I missed out on them 😔
Yeah, they only have the wellness ones on their website right now. I didn’t see stress management one this year so not sure if that will return. But they have the recovery one online as sold out so maybe they will bring that back. It says those were also sold in JoAnn stores. Try resale sites like Mercari.
Really helpful review!! Thank you 😊
You’re very welcome!
Thanks for sharing this! I'd love to do a summer purge, too, so we can start the fall off on a lighter foot.
Yay! Do it! Our fall schedule picks up so I really want to get things out before then. Because the clutter will likely annoy me even more at that time if I don’t deal with it now.
For the lavendar planner, i think you can go to a combination FedEx Printer shop or any print shop and they can probaby change the coil to a bigger coil.
That’s a good suggestion. Thanks!
Hello, do you incorporate de mäksēlife goals in your daily planner? can you show it? Thank you ❤
I will be showing this in a future video because I’m not currently using a daily duo and this new one starts in July.
That's an awesome idea to transfer the 2025 calendar. It's my first year using the daily duo for work. It's perfect for my needs but I do find the lack of a full year frustrating as I have to schedule meetings later in the year and miss a full calendar to reference.
Thanks! If you need to preplan meetings or appointments that aren’t in the existing planner, you could use the 6 boxes page in the beginning for the next 6 months. For example, for the July-Dec 2024 planner, you can label those 6 boxes Jan-June. This way, if an appointment pops up for any of those months, you can jot it down there. Then, when it’s time to use the Jan-June 2025, you’ll already have that to reference to fill in your calendar pages. And you can repeat the process and turn the 6 boxes page in the new planner to be used for July-Dec 2025. I hope that makes sense. That’s what I would do if the daily duo was my only planner.
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans I use the calendar to reference what day of the week it is a lot. So I really need the calendar layout for the whole of 2024. You have given me the idea to copy the page from the other book and stick it in. That could definitely work. I haven’t used the 6 boxes in either planners. Very much love the daily duo feel and layout for my work planner. Thank you.
Awesome!
I love watching your videos - a kindred spirit. You have so many ideas and I totally get you - sometimes I felt like listening to you was like listening to myself! Rings are visually so minimal and organized but using them is so awkward - it just doesn’t make sense why to me so I still keep my A5 rings but repurposed them for address/password/and import notes/medical “reference book” on my bookshelf. It’s funny how all the beautiful things coming out grabbed my attention even though I know well enough that rings isn’t my planner spirit animal.
That’s the sweetest comment ever, Kat! Thank you so much for sharing how you feel! It’s definitely so easy to get swept up in the beauty and novelty each launch, but I think the more and more I try, the more I learn about what I like and what I don’t and that’s been making it easier to look away. I don’t regret any of my experiments, even the ones like these A5 rings where I kinda knew going in that it would likely not work for me. 😊
I love your honesty ❤
Thanks!
The original ruler 📏 is not as pliable as the new stencil ruler so I beg to differ on your comment that the original ruler 📏 is the same material!
I think what I meant to say was that I was concerned that the thickness of the new stencil would be much less than the original one. EC used to sell a clear stencil and that one, according to people who bought it, said it was thin and would break easy wi5h us. I’m glad they didn’t repeat that mistake with this new stencil ruler snap-in combo. ☺️
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans Oh that’s good to know! My first Erin Condren planner was in 2021 so I’m fairly new to her brand. But I love her!
I hate that they took the mini calendar 📅 out of the 7x9 Daily Duo. I really like the Daily Duo and the hourly in addition to the vertical and my personal favorite the horizontal!
I’m sure you aren’t the only one bummed about the mini calendar. I never hated it. I’m more bummed that the white space next to it is gone now. lol.
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans yes I’ve noticed that too. I’m glad she included this helpful tool with her launch this year so we can get a taste of other layouts. I have more choices I like and that makes me so happy 😁!
Now they just need to create a sampler that is undated and won’t fall apart during trial planning. lol 😂
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans EXACTLY!! 🤣😂 Mine fell apart about three months after the fact!
🤣
My sampler pack detached from the spine like two weeks into having it 😩😫😡😠!!
Dang, I knew that would happen. I don’t know why they created them like a notepad! Mine is still intact but I haven’t been using it like I would my actual planners. I’ve been testing the layout and then putting it away until the next week.
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans I’ve been planning in it with the layouts I haven’t tried: the compact vertical👎🏽 the Daily Duo 👍🏽 and the hourly which is my favorite so far👍🏽❤️. I don’t count the horizontal and the vertical ones because I have those already and are used to them. But it’s okay that it fell apart. It has been used and loved 🥰
EC would be happy to hear it helped you discover new layouts you enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by my channel 💛 Subscribed! I had a similar planner switching/consolidating thoughts and will be changing things up at the half year mark for sure.
💞 thanks, Sami! I’m looking forward to July to start my new system.
Is there a nice variety of sleep sounds to choose from without the subscription? I can't believe they have this thing on a subscription model. It's on sale for $170 right now though so I am considering it
I have access to 26 sleep sounds and I don’t have the subscription. But I don’t think having a subscription unlocks more sleep sounds anyway. These are the sounds that can play all night long or for however duration you set. If you are only looking for a sound machine, I would look elsewhere. The Restore 2 is too pricey to be used only in that way.
Great idea with incorporating the snap in! I don’t usually planner hop but considering it seriously because of all these awesome changes to the daily duo. By chance would you have a spare 20% code?
I got you. Send me a DM on IG. 😉
