Very helpful! I am a household manager for a residential women's maternity home for pregnant, homeless women and we are revamping our homemaking/household management procedures and so far your videos are really helpful. Much appreciated!
Thank you so much for your videos! I am being interviewed to work as a Pa/house manager for a UHNW family at the moment. What a though process! I am taking on board all of your advice and hope to be worthy of this fabulous opportunity. Thanks again!
Do you do any videos on assertiveness or how to carry out certain tasks? Your videos are really helpful. I am new to this and you have provided great information!
Smashing video, mate. The one question I've always had is: How much of your career as a house manager is helped by a military background if you have one and if so, which duties and aspects would it help the most in?
Great question I was not in the military myself but my Grandfather and step father were. I have always believed that military training makes a perfect base for a great Butler. Self discipline determination and teamwork are top skills for a butler/house manager. It can be a difficult transition at first (obviously depends upon the person) but after a while it is a perfect fit!
@@RossetBespokeButlers Hello Bespoke, thank you for your answer. For a while I've been curious about the House Manager career and I do possess a military background. However I would most likely hold off on it as I excel best at being in a support position (aka: I will offer myself up to help others in their life/duties) as opposed to a leadership based one (aka: draft up itineraries, ensure everyone's fulfilling their duties, juggle this and that and make sure we're all having the time of our lives while we do it etc. etc.). Basically: active vs reactive. Regardless, you did give me the answer I need, so thank you for that. All the best, mate.
So interesting and helpful. I have done personal assisting but only about a year at a household management job. I had never even thought of it as butler! I think I would have done much better at that job had I seen this back then:-) I'd like to ask you, do you consider yourself an employee or more as this is your business, they are your clients?
It is a very common request from employers. There are plenty of city butlers who cannot drive but it is an advantage towards getting a job if they can.
Hi, many thanks to you for your great effort and knowledge you are sharing with us. I would love to contact and speak to you in person as I am applying for a house manager job and I am struggling with some areas which required some professional feedback. Thanks in advance Fati

Also, how much of your job requires computer proficiency?
Very interesting information. Do you suggest that a potential butler also be able to serve as a driver?
It is not essential but a lot of clients prefer a butler who can also drive.
@@RossetBespokeButlers Thank you. So it's an acceptable requirement for a client to ask a butler to also be able to drive?
