Went to their concert at the Shrine Auditorium in the spring of '68. I was a high school kid tripping on lsd -- it was a wild-ass concert. Experiencing Cream live while tripping on acid was definitely unforgetable.
I was lucky to see Cream twice at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. Five feet for the stage, Eric and Jack"s Marshalls blasting and Ginger's bass drums pounding off your chest. Too bad they didn't get along and continue to make great music.
@cutis1000 Originally thought to be LA. Since been dicovered to be San Diego along with the version of Crossroads that preceeds it on most boots. I think this gig could be my fave show of the lot
All the tracks on Goodbye are from the LA Forum (19/10/68). I thought the story was that both White Room and Sunshine were hoped for inclusion, but couldn't be due to a fault on the tape with WR and the problems Jack had on SOYL. But maybe they are from San Diego???

Happen to remember how many amps each instrument had?
Yes, Jack and Eric each had two-full Marshal stacks. They used one stack and one was a spare.
I Love Jack Bfuse, I Love Claptons Chord! That riff , ,,,, but I'm going to marry Jack Bruce! We got a thiiiiijng going on......
Well wonders never cease - and that base line is superstar all the way, inspiring for new music
What's Clapton's chord?? I must know
This is some of the best playing I've ever heard from a Clapton/Cream bootleg. I wonder what guitar he was using here.
SG it has that bite that the firebird didn't have. He never used the 335 until the goodbye show.
On the farewell tour, he used the Firebird and a spare Les Paul. This would be the Firebird.
Gibson Firebird I
HAHAHA! ...at 4:06 the bass is cut off. Very cool trick.!!! is just the drums and the guitar.

and at 6:30 Eric's the apology for the technical out.
This is from the LA Forum - not San Diego.
Nope, doubt it. At 4:57 it shows setlists of both concerts here compiled. Oakland's version's only some five minutes.
Wherever it's from its priceless !!!###
