Tenía todo, gol, definición (arriba, abajo, suave, letal, picándola, de volea, a un toque, con gambeta corta y larga, de zurda, de derecha), velocidad (era un rayo, fijate la corrida vs uruguay en el juvenil del 79 antes del centro a Maradona en el segundo gol), gambeta corta y larga, zurda exquisita, cabezazo, visión, pegada y tiro libre, desborde, pateaba los corners, los penales, definía de derecha, bajaba 10 metros y jugaba de enganche, manejaba todo el frente de ataque siendo nueve y también puntero! No hubo otro igual!

A los 22 años, es la edad a la que Batistuta debuta en la selección, juega hasta los 33 años y convierte 56 goles. Es decir, a la misma edad que Ramón deja la selección, Batistuta empieza a jugar en ella. Todo dicho, ¿no? Una pérdida irreparable para la selección!
