How long would you need to leave on the offly fast if you just file off the shellac colour? I'm new to using plexigel, but I love how it makes nails stronger. I'm not 100% on knowing the process when I want to add a shellac colour on top. Is it prep nail... thin layer of bonder, shaper thin layer, another layer of shaper, (would I remove the inhibition layer with alcohol or could I apply two coats of the shellac colour with out using the alcohol if I don't file the shaper? Would I use the plexiglass top coat or any top coat?
If you have filed off the colour back to the Plexigel I would leave it 15 minutes to soak it off using the offly fast. If there is some not coming away re wrap. I have a quick video on here or a reel on my Instagram of a Plexigel removal and soak off do you can see what it looks like, if that helps. So the process would be to fully prep nail and cuticle, make sure to scrubfresh before you apply bonder and cure on button 1 for 10 seconds. You can then use shaper for a flat nail to give it a nicer shape and plump up the nail so it looks more aesthetically pleasing. Cure on button 2b for 60 seconds. If you weren’t going to apply a colour you would use the protector top coat. If however you wanted colour, you wouldn’t need to remove inhibition layer and just come straight in with your shellac colour and chosen cnd top coat. If you wanted to repair a broken nail or build an extension you would use the builder gel and come in with your shellac colours and chosen top coat. You can remove the inhibition layer if you need to file the plexigel. You don’t need to use a base coat though before your colour because the Plexigel is the base coat. Hope that all helps, any more questions feel free to ask 😊
I would say it depends how quickly you work and also what file you were using and what grit. I might hand file quicker than you so I wouldn’t like to say. I always use the Nsi dura files which are really good. If you weren’t going to use the efile to take off the majority of the product I would use a more course grit, which will make it quicker for taking the bulk of the product down then soak the remaining product. If you wanted to infill there is no need to soak off the product, you can just file off the colour and infill the builder gel. I just did a full removal because I had a lady request to see a video of it, so she could see there was no damage to the natural nail. Hope that helps 😊
I thought this product could not be soaked off. Cool! Thanks for sharing.
Yes it can be soaked off with Offly fast but I would recommend filing the majority of the bulk off first so it quickens up soak off time 😀
@@nailsbycharleds thank you SOOO much! I'm BRAND new to this - much appreciated!!!
You’re welcome, any problems just give me a shout x
@@nailsbycharleds thank you sooooo much!!!
Brilliant! Nails look really good underneath too! X
The nails remain strong and healthy and by soaking off the remaining product closer to the nail plate, you avoid causing any damage x

@@nailsbycharleds thanks so much!
if i did this by hand file, how long do you think that would take, then another 20min with soaking right?
