Toothpicks in a pear?

I'm tired of chasing the toothpicks at the bottom of a plastic container, so I decided to make a holder for them. It’s made of Swamp Kauri and a small bit of Ebony for the stem. I had to work out the process of doing this as I went along but I was very happy with the results in the end. The Swamp Kauri is very difficult to work with, prone to cracking, chips, splits easily, and very hard. But the results you get when you put the finish on is stunning and very beautiful.
