The video of him buying it was uploaded 5 years ago! Plus he got this a while after Shmee150 brought his 675lt and GT8 so I’m not quite sure where he gets the maths from 🤣
C'mon Sam ol' Boy, you are the new owner of that 360 manual spider in the Challenge Stradale conversion process, you're just waiting to spring it on us in a future video! Good to hear the treck back from Spain all worked out kinda well in the end.
this is why i love sams channel man. just his pure love for cars is like no others. no clickbaits, breaking the law, revving the piss out of a broken car with a broken transmission or peeling off stickers for competition or whatever. thank you sam for the amazing content you put out!
I’m going to miss seeing the F-Type on the channel. I recently got a job at a JLR dealer and I get to drive F-Types often, and I really have fallen for them too. Sad to see it leave. Hopefully a third one in future?! 🤞
Great of you to have informed us all of this breakdown you had with your 360. It reminds me what a friend once told me : buying one of these cars is the (relatively) easy part ; maintaining them is where things can get unpleasant. I had just bought a second hand 550 Maranello at the time. What he said proved to be true 😤
my 987 boxster dumped its coolant following a water pump failure in the south of France. I had European recovery so no worries i flew home and waited for about 6 weeks for the car to return. When the car finally arrived it had multiple significant scratches, including the convertible roof, front bumper popped off on one corner - ultimately not the end of the world but clearly the car had been treat with distain. So Sams approach albeit im sure expensive may be the better way.
Don't mess with your car it is in too good condition, look at what Ratarossa does, he finds crashed or forgotten Ferraris and does them up which means he is adding value to them which wouldn't be the case if you converted your Ferrari to anything else.
Sad to see the F-type go...really! HApp y to see you gave it such love, to your one and to the model itself and would love to see that for times to come... oh well! Nice to see 360 well and staying a bit longer too!
Lets be very very clear, cars break down, parts fail and thats 100% normal. For a Ferrari to only have an issue like this once in 8 years is amazing and not totally acceptable IMHO. Glad you got things squared away Sam.
Knowing that there could be essentially two reasons for the dash light to come on: brake pads and fluid level, and being able to exclude the brake pads 99% because they had no sensor (yeah there might have been some bad contact somewhere... how likely?), I'd say it was a bit foolish not to check and top off the fluid...
Sam you should totally convert your car to a challenge stradale, keep the car you have this bond with and all of those awesome sorties, and keep its beautiful manual gear box!!
That would be the coolest thing if you‘d completely convert your 360 to a CS with original parts. You would have the perfect manual CS and continue your amazing journey with your first Ferrari and bring it to the ultimate level.
Well done to Victor for helping you , I would be scared to death if that happened to me in Spain as not speaking the lingo it would be easy to get ripped off.
Love the vids Sam, especially the road trip stuff. I’ve been here from the start. But…. Why oh why would you not check the level and top it up? You can try and get away with that if you’re popping to the shops, but not when you’re half way around the world. 🤦🏼♂️😄 The ultimate outcome would be the same, as in you’d need a new clutch slave cylinder, but it would have got you home and saved you so much hassle. 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing the story. It's always a nightmare to get stranded alone somewhere far away 😃 But the issue itself is something that can happen to every car, so there is no need for Tony to hate on classics 😀
Sam, good to get it fixed but why couldn’t you just top it up and get the local garage to bleed the clutch? You could have driven home then and saved a lot of time and money. It’s just a clutch after all?
Great stuff Luke! Can’t beat new parts on a car and knowing that’s it’s all tied in correctly now! Now hurry up and smash out another 20,000 miles already 😅 Big up swift performance!
I think this breakdown is a rare chance to crow about the benefits of having a manual, imagine having an issue with the F1 gearbox. Guaranteed it would’ve been a bigger deal.
Sam, I think it’s about time now you do the challenge strad. If you really want to keep your 360 I think you should do a full engine and exterior cs spec, if not just get rid and buy one. If you built your car into one though it could be a good build series.
Did you not have european breakdown with recovery to UK ? My cars are newer, less likely to breakdown and worth a chunk less than your 360 but i wouldnt dream of doing a euro road trip without cover including recovery to the UK
i still remember the dream that was the cause for you to buy the 360. you were dreaming about driving a manual challenge stradale. i say, instead of bidding farewell to the 360, do the same thing as the convertible 360 owner is doing. convert the 360 into a manual challenge stradale 👍
2 to 3 month to recover the car? These freaking insurance companies make you believe you are covered but you are actually not. Hope they paid at least some of the costs involved
I think it will be wrong tho sell the 360, that should be a keeper BUT at the same time I think the car deserve an upgrade. Think what can add value to you on that car.
Having had 2 F cars previously, I seriously don't understand why people are still buying these cars as if they're something special. They are not worth the upfront or long-term price or hassle. Put your ego and pride behind you, and select a car you can actually enjoy day in and day out. And there's many of them out there.
My understanding (please correct me) that with those harnesses v a seatbelt, that unlike a seatbelt, if you don't wear a hans device - your neck will snap as your chin tucks down in a crash. Might want to double check using them and stick with a belt ✌️✌️✌️
@@JC-lb1iq ah so it's the weight of the helmet that snaps your neck with harness (no hans)? Watch the MCMTV2 video from mighty car mods on seating position, it's where I got this info.
Well - it owned it break down didn't it. It's not a machine it's a "Ferrari". :) After 8 years its more then ok - great quality car and it gives you a smile on your face every time you drive it - which is priceless
I think the worst thing about the 360 breaking down, is having to endure Tony laughing at you.
Burn😅
Can't wait for the next podcast
Tony will love this
Can't wait for the pod now😂
Tony is gonna have a field day
I can hear him now “ Well it’s a shit Ferrari, that why I drive new”
Tony will dine of this for years 😂😂😂
I can hear his laugh 😂
Its been 8 years with 360 already??? Damn the time flies fast.
The video of him buying it was uploaded 5 years ago! Plus he got this a while after Shmee150 brought his 675lt and GT8 so I’m not quite sure where he gets the maths from 🤣
Think he was not being too serious and maybe got the timeline confused with a different car he owned
C'mon Sam ol' Boy, you are the new owner of that 360 manual spider in the Challenge Stradale conversion process, you're just waiting to spring it on us in a future video! Good to hear the treck back from Spain all worked out kinda well in the end.

Wtf! Sue the company for the poor handling of your car, that’s bloody terrible
Aldous is such a legend. He’s got me out of trouble few times in unsociable hours 😅 I felt bad contacting him

You are an amazing storyteller and photographer, great the 360 was fixed! And of course congrats to the guys at the garage with the award!

Had a passenger ride in 360 spider, I’m completely in love & desperately want one,
I’m gonna miss the F type when it’s gone, but if you’re replacing it with an F pace SVR then maybe not so much.
You definitely should convert your 360 to a CS! The content would be INCREDIBLE!
Expensive.
The transition at 1:15!! Damnnnnn

That Dino 😮… much better suited to the talented Mr Ratarossa surely? Another great video Sam.
Dino looked like what's called a " chairs and flares " model! Extra special

Scott (Ratarossa) has already completed a 360 Spider Stradale conversion for a client. The first one I believe.
True, but that wasn’t a manual as this one will be. I am surprised Sam didn’t give Scott a shout out though.
I hear Tony laughing his socks off right now
Great video as always Sam! oh yeah, you mentioned Freddie fixing the Dino. Welp he has his hands full with rebuilding a “flooded” McLaren P1!

In otherwords Sam when the mechanic says “TOP UP FLUID” top up Le fluid 😂😂😂
Cornelius Would Be Proud.🙌🏻
Cool! thanks for showing us all of that!!!
Challenge Stradale the current 360!
It’s the video that Tony has been waiting for.
Been a few times youve mentioned parting with your 360 so i feel this is on the horizon sadly. Be a shame as its a really cool car to keep long term.
Oh no. Hope you get it fixed in a breeze🤞🏻
Ratarossa has already done a Challenge Stradali Spyder.
That wasn’t a manual. I am surprised Sam didn’t mention Scott’s conversion though.
Trying to figure out what that watch is Sam? Glad the 360 is back and running!
It's a moonswatch, on a "MN" strap
Sam, I think it’s about time now you do the challenge strad.

Tony was foaming when you told him and Paul in the GC
Oh wow, the challenge stradale conversion is norwegian plated😮
Great video as usual. Can I ask what watch and strap are you wearing? Looks like a moon swatch with a custom strap?
How much did that service cost?

Can't see the Custodian app on the app store
Eight years! Holy Cow! Where did the time go?
Challenge to get it to 100,000 miles 🏁🏁
I remember Sam having a garage space with a gaming / office upstairs.
Does anyone remember what happened to that?
That was the old podcast studio at Duke of London. They moved it out of there to be closer to where Sam and Tony live
I think it will be wrong tho sell the 360, that should be a keeper BUT at the same time I think the car deserve an upgrade.

Who would leave a Dino just sitting in a garden
I just noticed that you have a roll cage, albeit a leather covered one. When did this happen lol
So they're doing the same thing as Ratarossa?
You can sound like Richard Hammond by saying 'as breakdowns go that was pretty good' 😂😂
So you didn't do what the specialist told you about the oil and then you had a problem, it wasn't the car's fault then! Great to see the car ok!
Nearly 8 years of owning the 360!!? I had to go back and look that up😂
This car seems to need parts constantly, even in between services?
Love that dino 🙏
Ratarossa already did a challenge straddle spider
That wasn’t a manual
Listen to your mechanic 😄
Old cars break down, even with good service.
Tony will have a field day with this shit, next ep of btg 💀😂

Do you have a link/details for ss transport? I need to get a van from Portugal to the UK
