7:53 I only Knew Steve Waugh's Invincible had won 16 consecutive Test Match before Heading for a loss on Follow on in 2001 Border Gavaskar Trophy, But Ponting's Record of 16 consecutive Test Matches is truly admirable, A record which I think was in shadow until you unfirled it.
Ponting Truly a remarkable player to watch and always will inspire growing cricketers of coming generation but some of his acts as captain might still be on question like the decision of out in which he was invoked with Umpire Bucknor.
I Saw Only One Major ICC Trophy Which Ponting Lifted Won was the 2009 Champions Trophy.
Punter's Hook Shot and the one he guided the ball towards the Mid-Wicket was Truely Remarkable to watch. And Frontfoot Punch towards the cover.
Very Good Video, Please Bring Video of the Legacy of Allan Border, Steve Waugh, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, and Last but not the least the Don of Cricket, Sir Donald Bradman and players of their era

Yet, he managed to win t20, odi and champions trophy. It is hard to compare in cricket because things change rapidly and 2 contemporaries could have vastly different conditions.

I'm 54, no doubt biased, but Ricky Ponting is the best batsman, best captain, and best fielder I've seen in my days. Just because his average dropped to a measly 52 by the end of his career, people forget he averaged over 70 for his first 7000 Test runs. The series against India where he scored back to back double centuries was the closest to Bradman Ive seen in my lifetime. Robelinda had a video featuring Pontings direct hit runouts, it went for 52 minutes...
His destruction of India in the 2003 CWC Final was sheer, utter domination.

I am lucky that I was an adult when Ponting started and watched all of his career. What people do not realise is how he brought the whole team and Australia along with him. Yes, he was aggressive and sometimes a bit arrogant, but really talented people at the top generally have that to be successful. He was also a pretty damn good Australian Rules Footballer, and to be in that game you have to be tough, especially as he was technically on the smaller side and the big blokes tried to run over him. He could bat, field really well, catch really well, read the game, understand the opposition and their weaknesses. He kept the never say die attitude in the Australian team that started with Alan Border.

But one thing was made sure that from that time I become the fan of Australian Cricket Team.I have never witnessed Ponting's Dominancy, his era but I realized about his brilliance by listening to him in the com box.Man he is a Genius. The way he understand the game, the way he make plan to win,to dominate(even now) is beyond everyone. Then I imagined what he would have brought for the other teams when he himself was the captain. When the Cricket ODI World Cup was held in 2003, I was 6 years old. We had a button TV(because we had to change the channel by pressing buttons, not by TV remote at that time). So, I still remember that final match which I watched on television. BTW, my whole family supported India, but I didn't know about cricket that much. I only knew that it was playing between a blue jersey and a yellow jersey. So, my family and I were watching that match, and they were praying for India to win and then the monster came. Ricky "Punterr" Ponting came onto the field and scored 140*. I didn't know about cricket, but after that match, I became a die-hard fan of Ricky Ponting and his mighty Australia. I still support Australia. Even when Australia were eliminated from the WC (like the Quarter final in 2011, semifinal in 2019 and so on, and also the T20 World Cup, the champions trophy), I don't watch any other matches. I even ignored watching the final match. Because in cricket, Australia has been my emotion since 2003. I was hurt when the Aussies didn't win the Ashes series. But it's OK. And as you can see, my name is "Ricky" because I named myself "Ricky", dedicated it to this man. So, I want to say thank you for giving me such a memorable childhood.
    Thank you RICKY, thank you.

2009 CT, by that time most of the golden era players (Warne, McGrath, Gilchrist, Martyn, Hayden and Symonds was gone), and they still won the thing.

I am a super hardcore Australian fanboy from India who is an Aussie fanboy since I fell in love with this beautiful game.. about 13-14 years to be honest..I think ponting's legacy has been ruined and intentionally being outshone by the baised lockdown fan kids of ICT..he's literally the greatest player cricket has ever produced after the god Sachin and sir Don.. great work from you keep it up mate.. and keep growing love you 🤟🏻❤️‍🩹 and good luck

I was 7 years old and Started Watching cricket from 2003 Finals and saw the Jersey Ponting 14 like a villain . Later I realised he's the Superhero of Cricket Australia and Cricket History as well . Captain Courageous 😎🔥 Apart from Fighter or Loser his legacy as a Winner can never be matched 💥 Won 2 WC and CT - Scored many runs with bat , Briliant in the field and what else he left ? He defended those WC and CT as well ❤️🇦🇺140* in Finals 2003 ,164 vs SA 2006 ,Game saving 156 vs England in 2005 Ashes and many more Golden Era of Australia Gilly Punter Binga Haydos Roy Warne Bevan Martyn Mcgrath💪 Ricky Thomas Ponting Goosebumps 🔥THE GOAT 🇦🇺😎

Surely Ricky Ponting is the greatest captain in the world of cricket. Winning ICC trophies is just like cake walk for him. Not only in West Indies & South Africa he led his team to grab two champion trophies in 2006 and 2009, and one of them was held in India. A true legend. ❤

I admire ricky a lot he is a good captain but come on he had one of the best players in his squad from hayden to warnie to mcgrath. His records are good because he had best guys in his team. Everybody can be a good captain when all guys perform well.

Punter was helped by having Shane Warne in the team.
Warnie was a natural tactician and if things were going slow on the field you could always count on him being the man with a plan.
