This is just a video I made to show the boss at the top floor of the Demon Shaft, because I only have seen one video of it, so I decided to make it.
And I had a very nice ending, killed him with my special.
Oh and sorry for the quality.
Characters: Weapon:
Osmond - Supernova (MAX OUT)
Ungaga - Babel's Spear (MAX OUT)
Toan - 7th Heaven (MAX OUT)
NOTE
-I'm USING cheat codes, at the time all I wanted to do was showcase the boss so I had them on.
-I have another video that will show all of my weapons, and there I will tell about them.
Ahhh, I feel a bit more complete now... Finally I get to see the Demon Shaft boss. I'm far too impatient to go through the Demon Shaft myself, so thank you for the putting in the work!
Hey dude i love and respect your videos. Nice work. Im the #1 dark cloud master ... well i like to think that. I discovered the broken dager glitch back in 2003 when i was pissed off at the game. I love that there is such a great dark cloud community on youtube. I have a vid on my chanel (crappy quality). I kill dran in 1 hit with my atmamillia sword) and yes i did not use the glitch for it hehe. Took me hours camping for gems and powerups in Norune!!! but it was worth it for the sake of the vid
It's quite amazing, this game is 8 years old, but still it's gameplay is far better than most other old games and new games.
I used to play this game quite a bit. I didn't go for 7th heaven, I went for the Dark Chronicle 1 using the Gladius that I found at the beginning of the game. It was maxed out and had good abilities, like durable, quench, rich, life stealing, etc. Took me a long time, but Dark Genie was a breeze with it.
Nice video men.. +the finish , i had this game but never get the chance to fight with this boss.. my ps2 die + my hope to finish that game.. Good video ! and what was the ending before that?
It took me one, maybe two tries to fell this boss without utilizing any cheats. (I don't have a gameshark or action replay or anything like that, and even if I had one, I generally would avoid using it unless I'm truly stuck on a part.) He wasn't that hard for me despite my not having the best Dark Cloud skill in the world. I generally try to avoid using 'auto' items unless it's smething I can't prevent myself to save on money.
Otherwise, you had the same strategy I went in with. =3 Nice work

i keep finding weapons but i dont know what to do with then you lvl your own up all the time, is there something i can do with spare weapons besides sell them?
Question, how thehell did you get +55 on that weapon, along with all the gems. Is there an easy way to doing it? Or just putting in hours n hours of time??

@NarutoBleachJose That was... one word for my reaction.Though, a tad of an understatement. He tried to game shark in weapons on the memory card, and somehow wiped my save and took up every single save game slot with his little antic. All of them in the first dungeon. Oh, and the weapons I got were a Sun Sword and a Serpent Slicer.

mmm interesting im gunna start playing again im at floor like 28 i think in Demon Shaft with my Chronicle sword maxed out. how many bosses are theri in demon shaft? and What does the last boss give u and is their anything else after him?
thats pretty much it, you get the chronicle 2 and you have the pride of getting the entire dungeon cleared
If only there was a cheat code that prevented you from getting thirsty. It's so annoying! I'm really glad that they took it out in dark cloud 2

I know its a bit late, but you can hold down the button and Osmond will keep firing.
Heh, I *just* beat this guy like 4 days ago. Took me a few years but I finally got around to it. Guess I'd better try DC 2 now. Oh and I gotta say: Pendragon's boss theme is pretty wicked.
As far as I know this isn't the only way to get chronicle2. You don't have to finnish the main game to do it, I used it on the Dark Genie I believe :)
i got it by upgrading something... whether it stemmed from the wise owl sword into the lamb/wolf sword... im not sure, however i KNOW i got that sword another way... do you know how perhaps
Well, Zelda is a Nintendo exclusive, and when Sony were launching the PS2 they wanted a version of Zelda on their new console. So, they took the Zelda concept as a ground for their new game, and then improved and changed it and then that became Dark Cloud.
And you have to admit, if you've played this game, it's one of the best games ever made.
If you Zelda-fanboys think it's just a cheap rip-off then fine, it's your opinion.

So, I haven't gotten to htis boss yet, but I would have to imagine that it's like beating Sephiroth in KH2. Is that correct???

i used that many chickens on the dark genie with very under leveled weapons, i was thinking "screw this i wanna see the demon shaft" so i went to the dark genie un prepared took forever but he went down like a sack-o-bricks

Huh so that's what is at the end of that dungeon. Interesting. Never got there myself, a friend deleted my save file after I beat the Dark Genie. Ah well, so is life.
dark cloud and dark cloud 2 are soo similiar.

yeah after i beat demon shaft ill probally start a new game. i love Dark Cloud. Got it about 7 years ago i think now im playing it again.

Well if you keep revival powders equipped you can autorevive without using any stand-in powders.
I beat this dude on my first try after grinding through that godawful tower in a week XD Using Toan only. Took about 5min, pretty easy fight. Went through 30 premium chickens, ha!

7th Heaven? C'mon! It's called the Chronicle Sword 1! Before you get to me about getting it, try getting the Atlimilia Sword, but get the Maneater Sword to try to get that. The rest is up to you.
@DoctorJamming thank's....and if you spam the knight ...you'll be lucky to get a bit of dialougue from the steve slingshot that he'll say hey isn't there a resemblance between you two?.......so that's another point

but i dun get somthing, in the last boss fight, when the he shows his real form, and flap his effing wings, isnt there anyway to avoide or stop it? the only way i "stoped" it is by doing the hammer dude special >.>. either then that i just stacked my backpack with chiken o.o

If the Dark Genie went up against this boss, it would have failed the moment it stepped into the ring. BKP does NOT fuck around.

DO NOT SWING TWICE.
I Finished it with no cheats =) used Sword of Zeus (in Italian) and the Chronicle2 in italian is called "Demonic" Sword.
I remember that day my eyes was painful =D I hoped that he found his father up there...
so thats why the auto - repear powder doesn't desapire
You know, the original PS3s can play PS2 games, because they were hardwired with the Emotion Engine, the very thing that powered the PS2. I suggest seeking out one of them and attaching your current PS3's hard drive in order to have best of both worlds.
i remember this....i broke 3 weapons, 2 of them including the chronicle sword and the 7th heaven sword at max attack, speed, endurance, and mp, the rest were all mixed
You can always pick up a copy of Dark Cloud 1 for dirt cheap these days... especially on ebay...

Of course it does, but until you get the Chronicle2, Chronicle Sword is they best way to go.

i had the chronical sword (not chronical 2) and i used only toan, the chronical sword was maxed out on everything, and i totally owned this boss
i shut it off....but what sucked is that when i got on, i was at lev 87, and it took me a long time to get back on track -_-

@NarutoBleachJose Yea i played it and got to the ice queen(cant remember her name) but it just got more enjoyment watching him play through it and complete all the maps
Hurrmmmmm, Obviously i could be wrong.... VERY WRONG... perhaps im thinking of the other sword that looks very similar... that definitely comes from upgrading something.... Whatever that was i maxed it out for the Dark Genie which was fun... but i never actually got to Pendragon... If Only my copy still worked, i could find out the name of the swrod i had

Try Soloing him with just Toan, Its alot more challenging.
