Should you be able to turn the oil pump by hand after priming it.After priming the pump I was able to turn it with the oil cover on and screws loose. As soon as I tightened the screws, it beame impossible to turn with my fingers. This doesn't seem right to me.
What's up man ? Doin ok? I ended up getting a new motor, I was afraid to turbo my engine its to high mileage. Im trying to do little things like this before I drop it in. Could u tell much difference from shimming the oil pump???
This is the stock oil pump, its similar to the b series and type s pump from the k series. It uses the same style gear to drive the oil vs balance shafts

Something isnt right, make sure the gear on the pump is the correct way, also look for metal shavings

I have a oil pressure gauge and it works fine when u shim it. Be careful not to over shim it as it can push out front and rear main seals
Did you use an oil pump from b series? You something about all b series pumps being the same.
