4:00 - Also, the new ones are more copperish/red than the old ones - especially those minted in the 70's got some nice colour, not as copperish as the modern Krugs
Krugers used to have some silver content, but recent years have been alloyed with copper only. The 2026 sovereigns are going to revert to being yellow! 😎
@@jonodunn2592 We have noticed that they are sometimes cheaper than us on single pieces, or a price break quantity, usually only by pence, but we are almost always cheaper on 2, 3, 4, 6, pieces, etc., because they still charge "free" postage on your additional items. 😎
Since you charge £111 to deliver ONE 2025 Gold Brilliant Uncirculated Quintuple Sovereign Coin, it seems you can easily afford to subsidise any % over spot!!
I just looked at our page to see what we do charge for UK delivery, and see we do indeed say £111, whereas I would expect it to be around £10. Clearly one of our team of humans has made an error, probably a typo. I will flag it, and expect it to get corrected on Monday. I was wearing my "I'm not perfect" tee shirt! 😎
For investment and physical delivery in the UK, yes. As collectible coins, there is a place for them, and some investors buy for VAT free overseas storage, this is really only cost effective for medium or larger investors.
To try and put it succinctly as a 79 year old fart why don't you when buying gold pay more for proof coins rather than the price for bullion coins against the spot price?
@@lawrencechard5914 to be honest mr chard, it’s for melting down to make new jewellery. Hence why I buy your grade c sovereigns. I’ll more than likely put an order in Sunday now. Feels less of a waiting time to be delivered if I was to buy one now. 😂😂 Yes yes I’m in patient. 😂😂 Thank you for being the best online bullion dealer. Your #9. Not even the #1 done have deals in as good as you.
You have to be mad as a hatter to buy new silver with 20% VAT. Plenty of secondhand silver about. I was going to buy a couple of silver 2025 Britannia,s to keep my year run going but not at those prices. Gold a far better buy and I would only buy from bullion dealers. I have even bought from Chards before but not recenty
The premium on 1g Gold Bars is very high, but still much, much lower than the premium on Silver Coins and Bars in the UK. Madness!!! Some people say they buy silver, as they ain't rich enough to buy gold... what?! It's actually opposite - they should have stick to gold, as the premiums on silver coins in the UK are just unbelievably high.
@@Stanislaw93 Sure, one gram bars cost more relatively to produce, which is why we don't really recommend them, Silver also cost more to produce relative to tis value, then the VAT! Again this is why I advise gold, certainly for UK buyers.
Spot price 1 0z gold at todays price is 2169 07 so i go over to your web site to make a purchase expecting to pay spot like you said only to find its its 2236.31 which equals a 3 PERCENT PREMIUM ???? VERY MISLEADING VIDEO
Was that for a Krugerrand or a different one ounce gold coin? There is no such thing as "today's price", only spot prices which can and do fluctuate almost constantly. Our video is not misleading. 😎
Thanks for sharing 😊👍🏻

I consistently buy from you but occasionally atkinsons is a bit cheaper once you factor in your postage costs so my question is do you price match?
If it is like for like, we probably would do, but pre-owned sovereigns are not like for like. 😎
@ great I only buy new brits or Tudor beasts from you thanks

VAT Kills Silver!

Buy for storage only not taking delivery. Otherwise no point.
I got my weekly shopping of sovereigns delivered this morning thank you.

It's on our waiting list, but new items keep being added. We also need to revisit our Black Museum of fakes. 😎
@ the Black Museum would be a good one. 👍
I just came across an old video about a fake 1903-S USA $20 ruclips.net/video/WIE2xrKAIPU/видео.html
Why no premium paid when you are buying gold sovereigns etc?
I don't understand your question. 😎

@@BrianChapman-k8w It depends on the proof coins.
Ok

When are you putting the 1oz gold bars Back in a special offer again?
Next time we have a surplus, but we can't predict when. 😎
You could consider coins, such as a Krugerrand, to be circular gold bars. 😎

Ok
Yes VAT makes it a no no ,do they pay VAT in the USA??
No VAT. There is sales tax, but it hardly ever applies to gold or silver bullion.
