What an incredible match! I got into tennis around 8 or 9 months ago and I missed many great matches. Thanks for uploading this! It's overwhelming with so content out there and finding these nuggets of gold is great. Roger and Nick played top tier tennis.
13:47 after making his joke Roger tell the ball girl "merci" for his towel, wich means thanks in french. Roger is a gentleman as usual, but here he was playing Roland Garros in his head 😂
This was back when Kyrgios was a serious contender for being the world number 1. Instead of focusing on his game, he went down the pub. I think he's still there.......😊
He is not down there anymore. He struggled for a long time with his mental health during those times he went off the rails. Life has not been easy for him. Recently listened to a podcast where he opened up about his life. Got much more respect for him after that podcast. Right now he is doing much, much better.
@@SuperNino111 yes, stats is stats. Tennis is tennis. He is 3rd, in results. Federer is number one, in Tennis. Anybody who appreciates tennis can understand this.
Had Roger accepted to challenge the service line call during 2nd set tie break which turned out to be "in" that would turned tie break and eventually won the match in straight sets.
You've already uploaded an extended highlight of this match 3 years ago, still cool to watch it again. Could you upload Federer Nadal 2011 SF, Djokovic Nadal 2011 Final, Djokovic Murray 2016 final Nadal Thiem 2017 final, Federer Monfils 2019 third round, Thiem Federer 2019 QF, Thiem Djokovic 2019 SF and Tsitsipas Nadal 2019 SF ?
Got this from Wiki encyclopedia.. _Kyrgios is only the third player, after Dominik Hrbatý and Lleyton Hewitt, to have beaten each one of the Big Three (Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal) the first time he played against them.[7][8] Although Kyrgios has received praise for his perceived entertaining style of play, he is a controversial player whose matches have featured "epic displays of ranting, racquet-wrecking, and trash-talking".[ He is the only third player in history to be the big three at least one time on his first visit
Yes I looked at that bit about perceived entertaining style and epic displays of ranting. They took it from a match report in 2015. 'Perceived' entertaining??? Someone should update Wikipedia. There have been a few more articles since then. A few were even positive...
Sports analysts will come up with the most absurd stats. "He's only the second player ever to have won a match on a Tuesday while wearing a Nike headband and Adidas socks by hitting more than eleven cross court backhands that the opponent ran around to hit a forehand and made an unforced error."
I somehow hate when people say, 'Kyrgios is the most talented player, and he can win more slams if he works harder or has a stronger mentality.' That makes no sense. Having a huge mentality and being hard-working are also huge talents for pro players. You can't say this dude is the most talented one just because he literally trolled and hit all shots randomly, and these highlight videos only keep the good ones among these random shots. But, yes, this dude's playing style is definitely the most entertaining one in tennis history, and yes he is the best on when his random shots work.
The very best match on the ATP tour, apparently of the decade, as judged by the tennis fraternity, was the 2017 match between Federer and Kyrgios, a three hour epic three set three tie-break epic. Lost on a final point. Better to have lost one of the finest matches of the century than won any other.
@@sportslover2356I remember Wimbeldon 2022 (I think) against Joko. This was kinda similar to 2017 agains Federer. Kyrgios should have bought a Rolex early in his career. He was his own worse enemy.
Meniscus knee surgery January 2023; double wrist surgery September 2023; neither seem to have been entirely successful. He put a picture up of his wrist a few weeks ago. Apparently they let him hold a racquet last week...
He got to play Federer six times. Four times were by invitation. A further three times Federer did single set exos with Kyrgios, the only guy he trusted to let him win.
I've come to realize that the creators of TennisTV have a hard-on for Mr Kyrgios but you need to stop treating him like a superstar. He never accomplished anything, healthy or full of excuses. Sinner, Alcaraz, Rune, and a host of other young superstars in the making have already eclipsed him. He hasn't played since he was found guilty of domestic battery in Australia, the trial judge overturned the verdict because it would harm his reputation (pathetic btw, what about the young woman's reputation). Not only is he way pass his prime but he doesn't have the work ethic to win another tennis tournament, not even one of the smaller ones. Your would-be fanboy attraction is getting creepy. I see you and so do the rest of us.
Kyrgios was not accused of a crime. He pleaded guilty to one count of common assault - pushing over a person who was preventing him from closing the door of a taxi. There was a witness. No other allegation was made. There was no allegation of any abuse. The court records and agreed statements are on record. I suggest you read them. If you can read. All your other statements are subjective. Or in other words. Creepy.
Judging by the outrageous behaviour of players since Kyrgios left the scene 15 months ago, I would say that nobody should be allowed to play tennis. and what's more, nobody should be allowed to make rude remarks on social media.

He was 19. Terribly emotional. He should have stopped playing that year. The media never let up after Shanghai. They still haven't.
Kyrgios was never the same after this match. He played some great tennis, but was never able to face Federer the same
