Dude, you just let my mind go on one hell of an emotional ride, following this guy's beautiful music and adding your minimal time points really let my mind go wild with endless possibilities for awesome boss fights
I tell my grandkids that I was around when "The Great Bass Battle" took place in October of 2000 and 19. They say, "Grampa, was life different back then?" Their eyes widen as I tell them how we didn't have as many G's in our internet, and how sometimes we had to wait while things "buffered." Then I showed them how Charlemagne Bear Tooth had this really short headphone cable, and tell them to eat their vegetables.
Before I heard you pronounce your name, I thought it sounded like "Bear Tooth," which I think is a pretty killer nickname. The Charlemagne part just hit me while I was writing - Charlemagne Bear Tooth is a wicked stage name ;-)
In all seriousness and all jokes aside that has to be the most melodic intricate piece of music with a bass I have ever heard! You are indeed a master of your instrument sir!.
I heard that small piece of 'Tapping' in the 'Davie504 Bass Battle' and fell in love instantly. First searched in the comment section to get the full version, then youtube brought me here. Just awesome. So much melodious! It'll definitely change some people's view towards bass for sure. Please compose more soothing and melodious tunes like this.
I see how much of an influence Victor Wooten has been to your playing in some of the techniques you use. It's like you've listened to the "A Show of Hands" record on repeat for years and its seeped into your compositions. You've taken those techniques and put your own spin on them and made them your own. It's worked out beautifully. Bravo.
Dude, you are just a joy to listen to and watch. I hope you take this way beyond this RUclips thing and FAST. The world needs your groovy mind and skills shared with them on a much larger scale.

It's not just wanking up and down the fretboard, it's real actual songs with alot of feeling, which stay in my mind and make me want to listen to them again. Great job, Charles! :)
