      Yes, just make sure to scrape all the loose paint, and sand the edges then prime.

    What about a solid stain vs a latex paint which is thicker and cracks more

    • @pintandodetodo73
      @pintandodetodo73  2 месяца назад

      No, you can't apply a solid stain on your aluminum fascia, it will fade in 6 months because of the extreme heat.
      Paint it will last 5 to 8 years or more, depending on the prep work.
      Paint has more protection.

    What color are you using for the Fascia and does it need to Satin Sheen?

    • @pintandodetodo73
      @pintandodetodo73  11 месяцев назад

      Well, most fascia colors are white, and some are off white. You just have to match it at Sherwin Williams, take a chip or a small piece of the fascia.

    Did you paint using a brush or use paint sprayer? If paint sprayer, what size spray tip did you use? My gutters are about 6 inches wide?

    • @pintandodetodo73
      @pintandodetodo73  Год назад +1

      Welcome to my channel. Sure. I did use a 310 LP tip is a Green color is s low pressure tip. But you can paint it with a mini roller and a soft bristle brush.

    • @pintandodetodo73
      @pintandodetodo73  Год назад +1

      I forgot that Sherwin Williams does not sell that brand of paint any more, the one that shows on the video, but you can use water base Industrial Alkid Urethane it is expensive but is worth it.

    • @pintandodetodo73
      @pintandodetodo73  Год назад +2

      Hey thank for visiting my channel.
      No need to prime the white or the solid painted are, just where the paint came off. After is primed you can use exterior DURATION or exterior Emerald, cause the paint you saw on the video Sherwin Williams does not selling anymore.

      Make sure you use the same brand of primer that shows in the video.

    Is it necessary to wash first or after sanding?

    • @pintandodetodo73
      @pintandodetodo73  11 месяцев назад

      You can pressure wash it or wipe it off before. Cause after you sand it the dust won't stick to the metal.
