    I just found your channel! As a female who dances with her friends a lot (and who always leads for some reason😂) this series has been great! I'm not great with coordination, but these tutorials have broken down the steps to a level I can fully understand, and I thank you for that.

    I have been tearing through your videos! Thank you for making this channel. I embarrassed myself at a wedding because a bridesmaid asked me to dance. I've never really done it before. Not real dancing anyway. Just grinding. She loves it, and I want to learn.

    I'm a man but I really just cant dance at all. Event coming up and will have to fake it on some old country music songs. What's the simplest way to get by on older country music if you cant dance?! Lol Father/daughter wedding dance all eyes on us!

    • @BallroomFeed
      @BallroomFeed  2 года назад +1

      Anyone can dance! Just takes some instruction and practice :) it depends on the song. Do you have a specific song you’re using for the dance?
      And congrats on your daughters wedding!!

      @@BallroomFeed Thank you for the congrats, and for responding so quickly. The Tennessee Waltz by Patty Page is what we picked for the father/daughter dance. I think I may be getting that down at least good enough to not look to bad when we do it. But that will probably be the only waltz and the other music will mostly be older country. I have always found that harder. I took dance lessons 30 yrs ago and it seems like there was a simpler way taught to do a two step than everyone taking the two long steps forward, then two short, as they tend to do now. I find that real difficult for some reason. The simpler one was like a side to side step. I found it easier back them but I cant remember the step. I may just resort to your side tap, side tap. But that may be a bit dull. Any ideas? The wedding is only 10 days away!

      @@Dion-rz3fz Well that's fantastic you have the waltz down!! Unfortunately we currently don't have any "2 step" on our channel currently but we do teach the single time swing which also works! Not sure if that's the one you're referring to having a hard time with or not, but I'm going to link it for you to check out. That's my best suggestion for older country songs! If they're slower songs the foxy works well and it's pretty easy to learn. Hope these help!

    In the demo, while turning, you first held hands low, then raised the left (man), but after the turn you changed into a different hold. Could you explain more on how/when to do this?

    • @BallroomFeed
      @BallroomFeed  3 года назад +1

      Awesome question!
      Two different ways to hold your partner 1 with just hands being more casual and 2 taking a more traditional ballroom dance hold. You can really switch whenever you want, but after a turn is a seamless transition where I just put my arm on her back and she then can put her left arm on my right arm.
      Let me know if i can clarify more and thanks for watching!

    I'm glad you are bringing back the ways to dance 🩰. I learned to do it in 6th grade but now I guess they don't teach it in school anymore!!!! It's called "social dance"!!! That's so cool 😎🆒!!!!
