What a promo for Whittaker's ... So often we hear people comparing their experiences on PCT, Camino, Appalachian, and so many other tracks and pilgrimages around the world, and often the comparison of TA is not necessarily a positive one. To them all, I say "you're not comparing apples to apples" Each to their own. You certainly are showing TA for its utter uniqueness. It's more than the track - its the kiwi way of doing things. I'm sure people don't travel the world to come do TA and expect it to be like their last tramp/hike. You are showing Te Araroa in its entirety. All its ups downs, and everything in between. Kia ora Kurt! Each day is less of the overall! WELL DONE! 👏
Well done on defeating the Richmonds! The chocolate idea sounds fun, though I hate to be a spoil sport by mentioning the potential rat problem that could create.
Doing incredibly well! Loving your videos. Really shows the trail.
Thanks so much!

Thank you. This is what I’m trying to show. The TA is not just a hike; it is an experience of a nation.
I was lucky with the weather threw those sections, hunters hut to st Arnaud in a day was crazy big day.
Wow! That would be a huge day!!
The end was a party of relaxation 😂,
Seemed like a grind through this section mate. But like the rest so rewarding.
That was a particularly rough day. Not so much because of the terrain, but because we were just ready to be done with the Richmonds!
@freedom_on_the_trail +You did amazing getting through it mate,.well done

I don’t think the chocolate stays around long enough for that! 😂
How easy is it to stay on the TA, it does not seem to be well marked?
Between orange markers, cairns, worn trails, gps, and good guessing - it’s not too hard to find where you’re supposed to be.
