    This was more helpful and understandable with zero words than the other videos. This is my style lol. I’ll be doing this to my 71 ghia in the next month to match up the 2.5 drop front end I just did. Thanks man

      Finally getting the spare time to do it this week. I just go one spline in the counter clockwise direction right? So downward

    • @punchysgarage
      @punchysgarage  6 месяцев назад

      @vincentbarrios3527 one spline yea. You'll want to turn the spring plate so its angled up one spline. Therefor setting the car lowered when you put it back on the ground. Hope that makes sense

    • @punchysgarage
      @punchysgarage  6 месяцев назад

      @vincentbarrios3527 passenger side will turn one spline clockwise. Driverside would be one spline counter clockwise.

    Hi.
    Your blue beetle has a front bumper that is lower. Where the mounting is located below the front hood decklid.
    I wonder if I cut holes install the rubber and put it on the same bumper will we be able to attach it? Or do I need to bumper brackets behind?
    Cheers!

    You don't need to cut the spring plate to do this job. Otherwise nice job!

    • @punchysgarage

    Great vid! Thanks! 1 question, without trying to sound stupid, does this need to be done to both sides? Or does the one bar do both? I'm guessing it will need to be repeated, but I'm unsure. Cheers!

      it is a bit more difficult to raise back to the original. I have lowered mine myself like this, but it was a bit difficult to get it back to the original as it is tighter to get to place. Haven't cracked the code yet

    Was the rear cut just so trailing arm could be pulled out? I have a swing axle so it might be different.

    How many notches did you adjust the plate to get the 2.5” lowered in the back?

    Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
    from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
    Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by
    reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated
    central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down
    all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From
    2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as
    exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox
    oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no
    investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even
    created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. :-((((

    • @punchysgarage
      @punchysgarage  2 года назад +5

      Yea it's happening globally. I will still drive this car. They can't stop me

      @@punchysgarage Biggest Problem wont be the local BABVVO laws, sadly China and Pakistan dictate the end of use of all combustion cars worldwide too. Its not about the environment....Chinas boss Darth Xi and Pakistans Boss Darth Larutumbrlulli told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, aircrafts, ships or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China into 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China just rules the world and Pakistan thinks they are the superior engineering force in the world and wants to sell lithium, cobalt as well as China...:-(

    you wasted a lot of money on those drop spindles, all you need to do is pull the tension rods out and turn them around and it changes the angle and drops it, FREE drop kit
