Thank you again for this one!! I remember being “chased” by one of the employees dressed up as a bloody fisherman with a big knife during frightfest and our only escape was jumping into the line for the bumper cars...good times 😂
Would love to see any vintage Riverside videos you have - you're the only person on YT who has uploaded anything from the old, pre-Premiere days! I grew up with Riverside in the early 90s, have good memories of that place.
I had the 1st ride on the Cyclone in 1982 when it opened. We lost the front seat to Imus from Imus in the morning in NYC. Rough as hell with no thrills. Just a bunch of bone shaking helixes. In my top 3 worse woodys of all time.
I love that even though Six Flags own the park, they've still preserved a bunch of the old buildings and such from the Riverside days. It is a very charming park. Oh, and fun fact: that statue of Catwoman that is in the queue for Catwoman's Whip was actually in the center of the Catwoman's Whip ride at Six Flags New Orleans. That ride was a Mondial Shake.
Another good one, Jay! This place sure is different from when I visited in 1987. I've been viewing some of your walk-thrus and train videos. On the walk-thrus, I enjoy the friendly, relaxed narration.
vidwilzvids Thanks! I have several videos I posted years ago of the Riverside Park' last day before premiere bought them, in 1997. You'd probably recognize the park then, since virtually nothing had changed except for the old boat ride tunnels being torn down.
Shortly before Premiere moved the ride from next to the Colossus to next to the theater, there was a guy running the ride. When I was at the park it was his last day, and he was having too much fun chatting over the PA system. Every time the ride ended, he would announce, "I can't thank you enough for riding Buzzsaw!" (Actually, I think the ride had a different name at the time.)
they changed the restraints on mind eraser, my ride was pretty smooth. also they removed the VR on superman and put them on mind eraser (thats the only reason why they have it) I liked bizzaros speaker headrests wayyyy better, it makes it more fun. me and my father especially liked it when they played the gizzard song at the end
That depends what kind of experience you want. If you want a thrill park, then Six Flags is the place. If you want a beautiful, shady family-friendly park, then head to Canobie. For something in between, go to Compounce. If you have small children, then Quassy makes sense and is much more affordable.
Jay Ducharme I want a fun family friendly park. We've been to Santa's Village and Storyland. But my kids are now 10, 13 and 16, so they've outgrown those to parks.
I'd suggest Canobie. There's plenty there for all of you to do (much of it together). If you like intense thrill rides and spin-and-barf rides, then you'd probably be happy with Six Flags. Your kids would most likely love it But that park doesn't offer much else beyond that. So if you're not into intense thrills, you'll be standing around waiting for them. Canobie has a nice mix of milder thrill rides plus lots of family rides.
So just to make sure. If you go left of the both entrance to Wicked Cyclone and sky screamer. Its a dead end. Right? But you have to take stairs to go Wicked Cyclone. Right?
you know what else six flags likes playing over their gigantic JBL control 29-AV-1 speakers? messages saying "due to incoming in-climate weather, some of our attractions will be closing temporarily" I haven't been there a time when this hasn't happened at least 1 time a day (I have gone here with season passes since 2010) last time I was there basically that played all day and then finally the computer voice says "may I have your attention please, the national weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning of the immediate area" worst day I ever had there... they take too long to clean up "spills" AKA vomit as well
Thank you for doing this. This now completes my tours of Six Flags parks!

i love your tours of the parks this is my favorite tour video

Thanks Jay! I'll find them!
I GO TO DEAN college and I love this park but I hate roller coaster
I love your walks though in the parks
I used to go to this park all the time when I was in middle school. It was so much fun! And it still looks cool!
Wow! Goliath was open
Still miss Riverside park.
Riding all the rides on a Saturday night in the summer while the races were going on is one of my favorite memories of my childhood.
I miss Buzzsaw!

I’m going the way for summer in July... I hope I can enjoy it!!
If I'm correct, they were supposed to build an indoor dark night themed wild mouse, but it got canceled, and that's why the gate is there.
I think it was for a batman show and when they took the show out, then that's where they were going to use the entrance I think.
You're the best in the biz at this

Mind eraser is a lot better but it's no B&M
I really enjoy your walk-thrus. I live in New England. We've never been to Six Flags, Canobie or Lake Compounce. Which one do you recommend?

Crissy Tracy defiantly six flags if you want thrills

There's a long ramp just to the right of the stairs, but yes, that area is another dead end.
9:10 OH MY GOD THAT WAS AWSOME XD
What day did you film this on? It looks relatively empty and I need some advice on when the park is usually empty
Where would the Harley quinn ride be now for this season
It's where the slingshot ride used to be, in front of Batman and next to Joker.
Thx
Great Escape or Six Flags New England? Which one do you think is better?
A Virus I prefer Great Escape. It has a lot more shade, a lot more family rides and better food.
Looks nothing like the old park. Even from the early 80's.
This amusement park is so big and huge, but also very tiring
I keep getting distracted listening to gaga in the background
Are we not gonna talk about the bird flying into that guy...
Are you going to do one for 2018?
I'm going to wait a few years until more new stuff is added. Not much has changed this season.
It wasn't Nascar it was modified. I used to work at Riverside
I went this year for the first time since it was Riverside. It’s cool. Call me crazy, I like Lake Compounce better.
I can't wait for this virus to be over so I can go back here.

Who tf got a Patrick macaw jersey
Best ride is definitely Wicked Cyclone
That's DUMB that they removed the skyway
