I just found your channel not too long ago and I love it! You two are such a charming couple! May you be blessed with many years of sailing and fun together.
Aint nothin weird about that boat. A pilot house sailer is awesome. Being that it is a Pacific Seacraft makes it that much better. They are considered as good as good as anything out there. Lucky dogs. My favorite boat is a Bristol channel cutter 28'. One of the most beautiful boats (with tan bark sails.) A great couples boat has a very wide beam and Lloyds of London pedigree.
For a 35 year old boat she's in remarkable shape & they've done very well to pack so much in to a sub 10 metre hull which would make a good all season liveaboard for a single person or couple for sure. The asking price is probably optimistic as are most asking prices but that's all it is - an asking price to be negotiated on. Saying that if somebody really wants what she offers there aren't many such boats around, the likelihood is they won't be in such good condition so they may get close. In Europe we have a similar boat in the Beneteau Evasion but it's an older design & doesn't do it as well as this Pacific Seacraft...
It is a nice boat and I really like it. I do not really know though if it is a boat I would take anywere cruising. There are benefits with small boats but it also constricts a bit how long one can be out and still be in comfort. I mean going on a 3-4 week cruise from Equador to French Polynesia one need a lot of food. Fridges and freezers take space. There also seem to be a bit too little space for storing. The radar needs to get up the mast. It is not healthy to have it right on top of your head nor is it as effecient as up the mast. More solar is needed and perhaps a wind vane. Otherwise, great looking boat. Cheers from Sweden
@Micheal Williamson Not everyone. I think Greta is talking crap and should be forced back to school. I work more for USA than for Sweden and I am definatly more right winged than your republicans. This dont however have anything about this boat to do.

Not sure you said what year this was but Mjsailing has 37' boat with similiar style but they rebuilt it for more than the cost of this. Buying a boat that does not need major work is defiantly more economical and get you sailing much sooner. Loving these videos. Cheers Warren
That is a clever use of a small space, the inside helm is something I like. I'm not so comfortable with the diesel in the cabin looks like that would be under the cockpit

Good clean boat, same length as mine but more beam and pilot house uses up space below but depends what you want. Probably a good buy for the right person. Nice tour again. Andy UK
@@seanrhone5306 Nice for someone else, or for you? The price seemed a bit high, but an offer doesn't cost anything. Has it been surveyed? Except for stuff like high-end Nav, weather, radar, communications, energy and water, along with dependable propulsion :) Certainly not excess, even if there's redundancy or backups in a few critical areas. Like, a spare diesel fuel pump, marine radio and fan belts, they don't take up much space.
@@dannybolman7739 It does not swivel around the backstay. It's gimballed, so it stays level to the horizon as the boat heels. That does nothing to mitigate the shadow cast on the solar panel.
@Jim Browski One may not do a lot but 4 may power that boat totally except for AC if it has one. Even one can manage all of the lights with enough battery storage. They are more important on a sailboat than a regular boat with a generator running the entire time you are not on shore power.

One might rig a drop board for more draft and stabilization at the stern. Maybe a hinged panel board of sorts. A 4'11" draft alone might make for quite an awful day if say you were caught in a washing machine in the Pacific. The combination of motor & sailing at the same time can get the stabilization you need but small boats don't carry much fuel so you wouldn't want to get caught in a washing machine or a big blow for very long without an extended keel of some sort. On the other hand, these small pilothouse boats from this one to the Nauticats have sailed the world. I'd bunk in the pilothouse at sea and forward at calm anchor. I can't describe to you what a joy, being inside in terrible cold and wind and at the outside helm in nice weather is like. If you are starting out, OR you are over 50 and want to extend your sea life without the weather downsides of heat, cold, and severe wind, this might be the boat for you. With a six foot drop board on it, I'd sail this boat anywhere in the world. I'd cover the top of the pilothouse with solar panels, buy one or two of the off grid super batteries just for the AC and another for the fridge for first class feature comfort for living on the hook. The price looks about right. Maybe 10 less depending upon what the survey says. Good video!
Aww come on where is your sense of adventure? It’s no worse than sticking your head inside a microwave oven. What’s a little RF energy between friends.
Doesn't mounting the radar behind the mast give a big blank line and a blind spot on your scope? Wouldn't mounting on the front of the mast a better location? Mounting higher will give more range, but not drastically so. The distance to the horizon doesn't change that much in a few feet. Long range isn't that important IMO as is short range for collision avoidance. Consider one of the new broadband low power radars. But the weight of the radome may be noticeable in roll.

Hey, that's the layout of my old boat, Batwing, which was 34' long! It's really great not to sit out in the rain and spray. We sailed across the Pacific in Batwing. The dinette should have been raised in this boat, floor under it and all, though, to give good visibility for those seated in the dinette.
