A lot of the documents I import PDFs into have headers and footers. Is there a way to use this script but have the PDF pop up into the text box that's on my master sheet? Right now every time I use this script I have to go back and resize every PDF page so that it doesn't cover my headers and footers. That's especially tedious when you're importing 139 pages.
I would make a new layer and put the PDF on that one. Then after it's imported, drag it to the bottom of the layer list. Then your header and footers should be on top.
Any idea why my pdf appears in really poor quality when I place it in Indesign? I have only 3 pages and when I place the multiplepagepdf it shows blurry. This was the last pdf I exported from my InDesign file. However I have lost my InDesign file :S. Thanks in advance!
Hello if I want to place a single file on a page is there a way to have it drop in centered ? I know it has the little preview and then you place it but I always need to go back and use the align tools to center. Like a quick key or something? thanks in advance Randy

@@PswACC Usually PDFs are final documents created in other programs, so you could edit it in the other program, then import it into InDesign as a section of a much-bigger document/book. It would definitely be nice if the PDF was editable, but saving as a PDF changes the way text works, and can be very hard to edit once in PDF form.
Do you know if you are able to place these multiple PDF pages into objects rather than it taking up an entire page? I’m trying to create a 2x2 set up to my pages using a PDF document.
I think I would try to do this before bringing it into INDD (within Acrobat, maybe). I don't INDD has the ability to put two per page at the moment...but I could be wrong about that.

Is there a way to get InDesign to place the PDF at the corner bleed? While it was great importing everything at once, they're all unaligned with the bleed marks and I still have to go back and hand adjust them.
love this but sometimes the indesign page layout is different sizes than the PDF, what if I lay 100 pages in and now they ALL need to be resized the same way?
Hmmm, I'm not too sure about that - you might need to find a script that can resize them for you. Another option is to try CMD Shift E, but you would have to do it on all pages.
So how do you open selected pages from the pdf and not all? I was hoping I could have the same option as in place, where its possible to set range. I have 89 pages I want opened from a document of 345. Placing 89 pages manually is very tedious so I was hoping this script routine could fix that - but obviously not. Guess I could delete several pages within ID after opening all, instead of having to place selected pages manually, that would be faster at least.
Unfortunately, according to a quick Google search, there is no way to edit already present text in the PDF File, although, you can add or remove the text.

Usually it shows as low quality inside InDesign, but will be fine when you go to print.

Hi, yes the import successfully happens with your tricks. But as an image. Is any procedure I can edit that content and graphics?
Unfortunately you can't edit a PDF in InDesign, but you can open it in Illustrator or Acrobat, edit it, then save it. Then import to InDesign.

Yes - I would do the option you mentioned. Open the whole PDF, then delete pages.
