Your tutorials are brilliant. Thanks - This and 2 others saved my bacon! Not sure if I need it all, but I bought a couple things from you today to say thanks for what you do! The cost was worth it just for the things I learned in these 3 short videos. 😀

Is it possible to have the page numbers displayed on top of the art. I'm making a comic book, so each page has individual art that fill whole page, but the master page is placed underneath your layers, is there a solution to this or will I have to do it manually instead?

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much. I'm a Graphic Design student and for Production design I have to produce a 12 page hotel brochure using master pages and paragraph styles. The bad part is I cant learn anything from my professor. I try but he just cant seem to reach me. One quick listen to you and I got it. Thank you so much.

Your comments bring back bad memories of a tutor who just couldn't be bothered with my questions. I completed my course thanks to fellow students who were really patient

Adobe just can't help making the most convoluted process imaginable for working with pages. I mean we're talking about pages... a concept that has been fine in every word processor for 40 years but Adobe had to create a way to make it stupidly complicated. Master pages window should have layers and I should be able to click on a button that locks those layers or makes those layers editable. For instance, if I want to use the same template across 5 pages but just change the text of certain text fields I should be able to apply the Master A page and then select which "layer" I want editable. I ultimately just found it a million times easier to copy and paste everything and avoid master pages altogether. But I do appreciate your help.

Yeah you can do all this, you just need to learn the program better. Its a million times better than word...

Good video, here's a question though... When you change the colour of the Page Number tag, you detached the master.. So what if you did this but wanted to change how the how Page Number system looks, location size etc.. If you detach you lose the power of the parent.. Is there another way to have multiple coloured child parents that only inherit the size and location.. This is driving me nuts atm..

What happens if we create a Master Page after designing pages? I totally forgot about his feature and it would make my project editing easier, but I have already done the pages, and they're so complex to edit.

what are [none]? there is an option called none on top of the parent page. parent and none. also when you create a page in the options panel says parent and none.
