I totally understand. Mine came with the black mtb tires. If it would have come with the new tires they put on it now, I would not have switched them out.
Hi Scott, I have the Scoria , is it going to work if I just change the front sprocket and guard without changing the free wheeling sprocket ? Thanks Rich.
Yes it will. I only changed out the freewheel to see what kind of difference it would make. I would only switch out the chainring first to see how you like it.
I am looking at one of these as my "second vehicle". How much weight can the rear rack carry? Also, is the riding position upright, and/or can the handlebars be tilted rearward by a few inches? For some reason, I inherited my dad's legs but my mom's short arms. If I have to lean forward for 16 miles a day, my back ain't gonna make it. Sucks to get old.
What I don't understand is, why do they recommend a Claris? Thats the entry level groupset for roadbikes. For your bike it would have been the 7/8 speed Acera (M3020).
They knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it and this derailer has much less play in it than the stock one. Considering that I leave the bike in gear 7, it totally wasn't needed but I do feel a difference when I go thru the gears.
@@scotthardesty Acera is also super cheap. Thats why I don’t understand, why manufactures choose Tourney as Acera is also super cheap. It downgrades every bike in a way that is totally unnecessary. For the whole groupset it’s just 30$ more.
That's one good looking bike! I would love to get those wide white walls on my Aventon Aventure.2
That is an option. Here is the link. amzn.to/48U7Ulx

Happy run g100 is $1799. Just ordered mine. Goes 50mph, top speed
Enjoy!
Love the gangsta white walls but I wouldn’t get rid of my schwalbe marathon plus.

What phone holder do you recommend for commuter bikes?
This is one I use. Lamicall Bike Phone Holder amzn.to/3X8yJOd
Concerned about my weight and height for this bike. I'm 6-2 and 200 lbs. Is this bike too small for me?
Hmmmmmm... at 5'9" and 225lbs I found bike comfortable but it might feel smaller for someone at 6'2.
