Just found out you can farm 20k stone 15k iron in the silvermine under 5 minutes. Its all in big clusters (resets every 15 minutes at my current server) imo better than godsclaw passage, especially on pvp server. Quickly accessable for low lvl.
January 12th, I ask myself where are the most efficient places, by resource, for to build a base. January 13th you post a video about it. Much badassery.
Very good vid, you gave me a few new cool start up ideas. Love the comment too! Everybody has to share their good farm spots! Imo anywhere around the Asgart or Mound Dead area is strong. Least amount of walking/climbing for huge stacks of Iron/Stone/Wood/Hide/Wood(/w Resin) and have almost 0 resistance during farming from mobs. Also short travle away from all the 3 flawless epic armor hides: feline, rhino & elephant.
8:20. I have my base right there to the left of the aqueduct. Flat land, wood, iron, stone. Horse foals. Close to Lian's watch, can farm the harpy creatures to the east too.
Jungle Islands / Sea area is only good if you have multiple maprooms over the map and a dominating clan. Preferably near Brimstone Lake (for brim and the dungeons) & Godsclaw Passage (for Iron and Asgarth thrall hunting) because you have to landclaim so much to make it work there. There will be no brimstone left on the bottom of the sea. Stone and wood is ok. But the location of the iron is too much climbing & travle time between Iron nodes.
I am rn looking for a starter base location and I have been convinced the spot at 1:35 is the most survival friendly and has easy access to coal, iron, *brimstone* and water. Good job bro!
@@BeatBoyXI Inside the cave is a great spot, if you do it right. I'd hang it from the ceiling. I think Smokey has a base build for that location, but I am not positive.
I really liked this video. It was put together really well. As a veteran I know all these places and I appreciate you calling out at the beginning this was a straight up harvesting resource video because my first thought was what about thrall and pets, they are resources also. Excellent video man, after 4k hours across all my accounts I still question my choices where to put my next base.
All good spots. Another is south of Shattered Springs close to Rhino Horn Ridge. There is a cave there with scorpions and you can get iron, silver and coal. Good amounts.
I'm falling in love with the jungle areas around #5 & #6. Something not mentioned is there are a lot of treasure chests in the area with gold and silver in them. It comes in all three forms: coins, bars, and stone. So, the area has nearly everything needed except starmetal, obsidian and ice/black ice. Animals for hides, meat, feathers. Iron, coal, brimstone, wood, plants, fishing locations for oil, gold, silver, and thralls.Gossamer is also reasonably close, too.
Great video. Unfortunately, 8th seems to be most viable of all of them, since nowadays, hardened steel is almost "must have" for majority of weapons and tools, which means need for steady supply of that f*****g black ice. Good old times when nearby locations of iron and brimstone were prime criteria for base...
Great vid man! The only thing that annoys me is the whole map location after the area view. I'm just used to always seeing map first then area view. Good stuff tho!
Gotta day I disagree with all but #4 and #7. A lot of these spots offer the same stuff at an inferior return both for your time and total haul. Missed the scorpion cave which is the best spot for silver, coal, and a quick haul of stone in a very short time. Also no mention of best spots for wood, plant fiber, ichor, thick hide farming, etc. mostly just a list of inferior iron and coal spots
This is how a video needs to be when we look for something in a game this is perfect good job keep it up like this

I decided to do the same but where do i exactly place the house. The whole place has enemies and i cant find a good spot for the house.

thanks :)
Yeah, same here! I got a few new start up ideas out of this. Although I still prefere the Jawbone as starting spot for Iron and early thrall hunting.
I like building in resource rich areas so I find this video incredibly useful. Also like the fact it was posted on my b-day lol
