Yes, I know but I meant the TDi engine which is in the Volvo 850 - that one is Audi. The D24 engine is just a shame ;)

Well I have a 93' Volvo 940 turbo, that I'm building. Can I get any suggestions, but it's a 2.3L 4-cylinder
Good car to start with. Find ya a wrecked C6 Vette and swap everything in it. ;)
Just google a bit, you can do much with the 2.3 without paying too much. Though if you want 400+ hp you are probably better off adding some cylinders iykwim ;)
Ammageddon89 True. The IPD 300hp kit runs like 2800USD. Thats a bit high for 300hp in my book. It can be done cheaper but will take more time. The rwd bricks take swaps well is why I suggested it.

kevin james hmm ok, 2800 is quiet much, though a vette enginge costs more than that here in sweden :P (Cheapest i found was 3800USD for a used 1986 vette engine WITHOUT any cabling or gearbox or anything like that)

Its known as a dogbox... no clutch required you just jam the gears.

Well I want stick with the 2.3L turbo! It's stock and I need know how to put more power in it!
Fit an accurate boost pressure gauge, manual boost adjuster the stock system will adapt to 12 psi boost pressure which will give you over 200 bhp for about £60 I then fitted 100 psi chemical pump £70 adjustable pressure switch £35 got an injector from a breakers and inject pure methanol from 7 psi takes me over 250 bhp for simple wiring and piping and less than £200
yea. chip and and adjust your boost from 0.3 to 0.6. i had mine at 1.3bar on stock turbo but i would say 0.8 max on stock turbo and intercooler
CVLova CV the T5 got 0.8bars of boost stock, so turning it up is no problem, some people here in Norway drive them on more then 2 bars, but then the engine is also reworked.
But machining the top, drilling it up for bigger valves, changing to shorter pistons and a crankshaft with longer travel-traverse also helps, have a volvo 850 myself where but with the 2.5L 10valve and stock 144hp, but after i reworked it it had 243hp before i put a turbo on it.
But there is not to uncommon to see 500hp+ on the standard crank.
