They are making and selling over 100,000 a year of the new Defender, on a good year they made 20,000 of the old Defenders and struggled to sell them. You can buy new 90’s for just over 50k this is one of the most successful vehicles in recent years. Mine is 15 months old with 47000 on the clock and it’s awesome. Mine is a 90 commercial. It’s will soon be on its 5 trek to Morocco and back to the UK this year
Used mine extensively for overlanding in Southern Africa and absolutely love it although it’s a 110 D300. I’ve done water crossings where water has come halfway up the windscreen, I’ve done rocks, bad roads with a max speed of 15kph for 300kms, tracks with grass taller than the defender and cotton soil and mud and it’s not missed a beat and taken everything I’ve thrown at it in it’s stride. The side box is perfect for tyre deflators, fire extinguisher, tyre repair kit and tie straps for strapping down things like wood in the roof rack. I absolutely love mine

I'm with you on this one I absolutley love the car, so does my better half! We had a Heritage edition as a test drive for half a day and fell in love with it. Most expensive test drive I have ever had! We placed an order for an X Dynamic HSE D250 in Santorini Black, now for the long wait of 9 months. Looked at used but they are ridiculously priced. Love the videos, keep them coming.
If the wheels were the steelies rather than the alloys it would look amazing in that colour. I know there were limitations with the bigger engine defenders having bigger brakes but I’m sure it could have been made possible
Have to admit, I agree, this is exactly what the disco should have been. We had a discovery 1 back in the day as a family car. When it worked, a fab car and great for long journeys with the family. We tooled down to our flat in the alps often - it hauled ass in the snow, and on summer visits, we were able to use it to cut out a few kilometres of the mountain road to the resort by using the off road prowess plus using it to access some nice walks too.
And the steel wheel would be more practical, I've seen alloys that got a whack from an odd angle, the bit with the nuts on were still attached to the vehicle but that's all, steel ones would still have driven home.
No. And why ? The discss are bigger, and thus it makes no sense to mount 16"...Of course, some fanatics like Andrew St. Pierre White and Ronny Dahl downunder have already cursed these 17" and 18" wheels.. Their arguments are wrong.
I recognise the off road track as leading to the trundle ! When I was younger and fitter my wife and I cycled up there on our mountain bikes with our children on each bike with us! I also remember gasping for breath at the summit- I had the older heavier child on my crossbar !
I changed from a 2020 D240 First Edition 110 to a 2023.5 D250 HSE 90 in March - like you the lost load space hasn’t been an issue. I have roof cross bars for my ex RR Evoque roof box and they are easier to remove and refit than the expedition roof rack. I specced my 90 with air suspension (having had zero issues with it in 6 previous air sprung Range Rovers and the D240 110) and it is firmer than in previous cars, especially when the 2nd stage of the two stage air bags is inflated off-road. Even with the D250 6 pot it is smooth, very very quiet and I’m getting slightly better fuel economy than the 4 cylinder D240 was in the 110 despite it loving to be driven much harder than the D240, it’s almost indecently fast for a Defender. I owned a TDi300 90 County for 21 years as a 2nd car, no way I would go back to it, the L663 is perfectly capable of being my only car. The only improvement I can think of is it is now so refined that it needs to become a silent BEV…………
That front and back silver needs to be changed to black . At the back the spear will cover and lunch box silver colour needs to be paint black or car green colour. Make it two colours for the car -( green and black ) .
I tried a 90 D200 myself two years ago here in Belgium and I loved it. It's a proper SUV! In the end I didn't buy it because my lifestyle doesn't ask for a rugged SUV and by 2030 the diesel will probably not be allowed in many places. But the Defender is so lovable!
The 130 has the same wheelbase as the 110. They are both something around 118” wheelbase, I don’t remember exactly, but even though these are long wheelbase they are much shorter than utes like the Ford Ranger, which are just short of 130” wheelbase and it shows when parking.
Great vehicle. It certainly stands out in that colour. 110 & 130 have same wheelbase length. 130 is about 30 cm longer than a 110, and all of this extra length is added on behind the rear wheels. I’d option any Defender with the clear sight rear view mirror, which would make rear vision much, much easier.
Took a 90 out at Eastnor for the Land Rover Experience, incredible off road, so capable, thoroughly recommend to anyone as it's a giggle and makes a change from track days, those cameras looking at the front wheels become invaluable, and wading to the point of submerging the front camera was interesting (Think it's at approx 90cm if I remember correctly). I love the look of them, and the interior is a fantastic place to be. Not the vehicle for me to own, but great fun none the less.

I love all Landys (although I do prefer the classic ones)! I think that version would look really good with the white steelies (I think the straight six might only be available with 19s and above though?).
Fantastic review. Delighted about your diesel thoughts. I totally agree, euro 6 diesel is still the perfect engine for large sum. My d350 Sport returns an easy 45mpg on motorways, 40 on shorter journeys of 20 miles, and 30 urban. But with 700 nm, it also flie Your Defender is gorgeous, wheels lovely as they are, but black pack option would improve contrast with your body colour o er silver. Please do a review of your power train and I implore you to get behind a D350.❤❤
Always loved a LR. The new defender has grown on me, looks good in most colours I’ve seen. Have now seen a few ineos grenadiers locally as well I think in the style stakes defender has it. 👍👍
@@PazLeBon style is objective, sure once the after market guys have got their hands on an IG it will look bang up to date. in the roughty tuffty stakes the IG has it. Don’t get me wrong I love what ineos have done , if anyone offered me either I would snap their hands off. 👍👍
I was in love with the looks of the new Defender and was looking for something to replace my Nissan Pathfinder with 195,000 miles. I was able to test drive a Defender 110 Heritage Ed, and absolutely hated the experience. It felt extremely cumbersome, “like wearing a big puffy winter coat”, is the only way I can explain it. The dash is far to complicated, fiddilly and dainty. My wife’s Jeep JKU , by comparison, is more positive, rugged, purpose built, nimble, and recently went over the Tioga pass in Yosemite NP while getting 24 mph. Thank for the fun video.
I drove one of these today at a Land Rover promo event, I didn't think it would be as comfortable as it is. I've seen a 2020 model with under 10k on the clock, it's tempting but I was primarily looking at Discovery Sports but they said I could take this out for a long run just for the fun of it. It's huge, but at the sae time I'm used to an XJ so it feels quite compact, I can actually tell where the back is.
Okay, that ladder is pretty cool. Whenever I’ve seen this on the road, I just assumed you had to use the wheel as a step up to reach the ladder. Thanks for showing us that 👍🏼
Had the misfortune of one of these parking next to me in tescos car park. Thing took up most of the space and I had to squeeze back in. Guy came out with some milk, I guess the off road capability was required to buy some milk.
When I bought my roof box, the salesman told me not to put it in the middle, but to one side as it makes it easier to get stuff in and out of. Now I chuckle when I see people struggling with a roof box in the middle, trying to load or unload it.
I quite fancied the commercial 90 at launch in green with the white roof and white steel wheels but they have made it special order I think as a commercial vehicle. I can definitely appreciate the car you are in Pete but it is hideously expensive in that spec.
Hi Peter i completely get what you love about the defender, it is the ultimate adventure vehicle .i needed a bit more space so went for the kombi transporter, but i put the lift kit and the off road wheels and BF GOODRIDGE tyres .i really do hope in 4 months you chop in the porsche and keep the defender. defender even if you dont keep that exact model im sure you could find a newly new model for less money with just as many goodies on it . Keep up the great work hope you had a fantastic time out at the ring 🇬🇧🇩🇪👍
Are you seriously deluded? Ultimate adventure vehicle 😂😂😂 Watch this from a true off road enthusiast with real life experience: ruclips.net/video/VikoZmrVj18/видео.htmlsi=Yd11HVkAfIkCASUP
Hi, great review and good to see you’re enjoying it. All round a great car. My wife moved from and Evoque to a Defender D250 90 HSE and loves it. It won’t ever see a muddy track I’m sure, but even as a motorway cruiser it does a great job. I recently asked what she’ll get next, simple, another one.
I get the ladder and roof rack, the gear carrier is pointless. I prefer the clean look. I like the wheels, but cream coloured steelys would look awesome, as others have said
We’ve got a Range Rover velar , and despite what people say and think of Range Rovers it’s the best car we’ve ever owned, it’s the Swiss Army knife of the car world , it will go anywhere uphill down dale, in fact off road it’s amazing,we have a disabled daughter who needs a specialised pushchair , that flies in the boot with ease as well as a weeks shopping , wouldn’t have nothing else apart from Land Rover, Range Rover .
Squircles was a word used by fiat when they bought out the updated Fiat Panda with the weird rounded off square instrument dials. The squircles on the Defender do look better than the Fiat ones.
What puts me off is £90K for a machine with no more room than a VW Golf. 99.9% of people who buy this don’t need the 4wd or a Dacia Duster could do what they need for only 20% of the cost. As an indulgence and for ostentation, of course, apart from having a 100ft yacht and a Patek Phillips watch, it takes some beating.
Yes blacken the front plate Pete and the lettering, maybe leave the grill silver. What would interest me is are there any significant differences between having the spare wheel on the back over having it removed. What's she like to drive, live with, fuel economy, look like etc. What's that weigh 30 kilos? Shoved out on the back. Comparative test there Pete. Don't know about you, but it's really rare to need to change a wheel and there are lighter, smaller storable alternatives.
Absolutely brilliant review as usual PP. My wife & I have a similar lifestyle to you & Tracey ie only four legged children 🐶 & we have the 75th Anniversary demo next weekend for trial. We believe this will be the perfect car for us (accepting the boot compromise) for driving holidays (half the rear seats down for luggage & wine purchases) … The 2024 model also has a flat floor (the stiffening bar is now out the way) & I am going for the D300 as the best sense for an LR as you state. Brilliant as ever PP. Thank you for your down to earth, factual review 👏👏👏👏👏
Peter…just buy it! I do struggle a bit with a basic plain 90 looks but yours transforms it and I had a look at yours at Goodwood on the Thursday…😃😃😃I can’t post pictures but LR bristol had several versions with black fronts and wheels which I think looks fine on the 110 but somehow that spoils the 90…yours really does look the best balanced. I’m so pleased you really like it..I am a big fan of Land Rover and hate the posters harping on about reliability whilst not tell you they are groaning about high mileage, several years old and hard used examples. I’m struggling to come up with a good reason to sell my Discovery Sport but the Defender is very persuasive! Get the PCP sorted, Tracey needs it!! 😀😀😀😀Richard.
Looks great! Love the colour and wheels as is! Reckon I'd have the dog wash box on the side, for the few times my Mini Schnauzer has got dirty 😅. Im glad you pointed out it would need a different tow bar bike rack, that didnt cross my mind! This car is very much on my wish list! Thanks for the video!
Great review Ped , very clever tech, all rounder. I was told when I picked up my discovery in 21 this engine is derived from BMW straight six , hence the silky smoothness. On a good run it will do 39- 40 mpg . Cracking engine for these vehicles. Keep on rocking in a free world!
Nice car. Rather than buying this 75th one Pete for £85k, you could just order a Defender 90 D250 HSE for £62k. The only thing you can’t get is the Grasmere Green paint.
I agree with you Pete regards making the silver exterior trims black, would make more sense to me. Actually was thinking that when you spoke about the spare wheel cover. That also needs to be a single colour, then you don’t have the levelling issue! Why oh why does that storage box have a silver lid 🤷🏼♂️. JLR it also needs to be black!
Can see how impressed you are with the car, I'm sure it is really good. My missus dream car to be honest. I do struggle with the colour but I haven't seen it in the flesh and it would be a dull world if we all liked the same things. Will you be getting one for Mrs P?
I liked the 90 but found the width intimidating down the back roads and its why I sold my F Pace SVR which had the same issue . I've had the shoguns and land cruisers etc which seemed narrower but for most needs the Yeti was the best we had and still is but now replaced with a Q3 - 70% of our miles are towing btw.
Much as I like this car, I just can’t get my head around the cost of JLR vehicles. I have just sold my 2020 E Pace , and would have dearly loved another, problem - no new vehicles available! The Defender has only recently become readily available, and I note that my local LR dealer in Stafford had a yard full of new 110 LR Defenders ! I just don’t see where the JLR Strategic Plan is going? Great review as ever Ped👍🇬🇧😎
Always loved the new 90 and would seriously consider chopping my TTS in for one, though the Anniversary Edition is too much money in my view and would plump for a nicely specced standard model instead.
Would look better if the gear carrier was sprayed the same colour as the car and the wheel cover the same, silver bumpers would look better black but overall nice car I purchased, a 2021 first, edition over two years ago and just part exchanged it four months ago for new 110 D300 X absolutely amazing cars I also did a review on RUclips. Thank you for doing the video if it wasn’t for people like you, I would not have purchased a defender.
So I’ve seen a 110 in person. If it wasn’t for price my wife and I would own one for our family. Great review awesome suv Sir Pete. I see a very tempted option for you and Mrs.G may become a may stay on the channel???
Stop reading comments and spent time with the misses! Anyway, you're 100% sold to this car I guess. It's a nice car with a bright color and if you see it as the next Discovery you're right on it! Hope you can get hold of it.
Not sure why two door off roaders, look so good. Like the Defender 90, but do like the Ford Bronco two door. Three engine choices in the US, all petrol. The 2.0l turbo is reasonable in terms price, jumping up to the 6 cylinder though things start getting $.
If you ever drive the Defender on Autobahns I'd remove the ladders PDQ. You need a completely unobscured nearside wing mirror to pick up fast moving traffic. And I'm 5 foot 6 inches and have never had a problem getting access to roof boxes. SUVs have a high door threshold to stand on - Volia!
Hi Peter i was outside Woodford land rover last night and they had a 72 plate defender 110 estate in white 3 litre diesel with 5,000 miles for 67 grand .
The 90 looks like a Mini lol. I had a 110 at launch. I let it go after a year because I had the Range Rove and didn't need a second daily driver. I needed a more off road capable overlander. However I loved it 100%! I just had no niche for it, unfortunately. The interior is perfect IMO! I loved the interior! Everything about the interior is perfect! I just wish it had a rear solid axle **sighs** My fiance and I just moved to Utah USA from Canada, and i'm thinking about getting another 110. It would be perfect for the desert countryside we live in!
There are 3 of these 75th models localish to me. A plain 110. A kitted 90 like yours and a tweaked 90. The tweaked one has black roof and wheels with black bumper bits. That with the kit would be my choice. Lovely cars otherwise, can’t wait to own a 110 D300 HSE in the future.
Here’s a useful tip for pulling the rear seats back up……clip a spare dog lead onto the metal loop on the back of the seat and you can pull the seats back up from outside the car
Saw the same car and colourway, inc the wheels during a visit to N Devon - said that before. I thought it looked grand!. Not sure about the idea of swapping the silver for black. Nice to hear you're (both) happy with the beast and I love the thought of a 3L straight 6 diesel. The boot space looks like it would struggle with our planned 2 folding E bikes. Mind you, finding the dosh to buy one would be more than a struggle. but if you can afford it, why not? Looking forward to the the report. D
It’s a nice car Ped, they have gentrified the 90, is that good? I don’t know it’s now mega expensive and tbh I would be scared to use it as it was originally conceived- it’s now a totally different thing now - but now bring on lads niva for the farm !!
Sold a Jaguar 300 Sport for a new Defender 90 D250 HSE with air suspension and 22” wheels (look great but a mistake). Unfortunately as much as it looked great and had a great interior it only lasted a month. Access to rear seats useless, boot space too small so kept having to put a seat down and stepped floor didn’t help, side opening rear access door inconvenient, short wheelbase meant choppy ride, and front seats uncomfortable due to seat base being totally flat with no side support so roll off round every corner. Interior was good other than front seats and access and superb engine but it needed the D300. A mate recently got a Defender 110 D300 on air and 20” wheels and must say this rides like a limo and I probably would have kept mine if it was a 110 but the 90 does look good, but beauty is only skin deep. 18 months and 22k into a Range Rover Sport D300 which is the perfect car which has beeb fault free.
Awesome video....been contemplating getting a 90 for a bit now to replace my Honda Element ( almost, visually the same), however the reliability factor scares me
My favorite is the LR 4 !!! Unfortunately by the time I was able to buy one, they were older. My new favorite is the 110 !!! Why not power folding rear seats ??? Especially at this price point.
...very cool and stunning car. Very British 👍. Saw a lot in the south of France and Monaco during our holidays. I would prefer the long wheel base 110 and white wheels 😎👌
Has to be steel wheels for me certainly. Can’t stand the attaché case on the side as they are definitely going to get tanned (broken into) at some point. Haven’t seen your channel in a long while and was surprised to see a non mini?!
Really enjoyed this one Peter. I’ve always loved LR/RR and really do love the new Defender, this special edition is utterly stunning, love the colour and the wheels too. Every time I see one go past I can’t help but look. I’m glad you’re really enjoying this (when you can get the keys 😂) and can’t wait for more of this beauty 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
I own a d4 ULEZ ok and look at the 90 one day as a replacement? Glad to see someone not demonise the diesel. Hybrid seems to be a bye word added to everything to maybe fool the masses? 90 looks cooler than the 110 but less practical than a golf! And let’s face it at 86k will likely to see a puddle in a Waitrose car park than off road. But I still want one 😂
Hi Ped Late to the party on this one, but great review again. However in my humble opinion this is a “Marmite” car, love it or hate it. Not for me I have to say. Why? Well lacking 4 doors, practicality, and the looks of a urban warrior. However I will agree with you on the diesel engine for this type of vehicle. Spot on.
Had my first edition since launch, and it's not missed a beat, and its value has stayed solid
Great to hear 👍
Land Rover is laughing at us with that price.
Especially as it’s made in Slovakia
@miyahtallulahAnd there’s plenty of them, judging by how many of them that are on the roads now.
not really, not many buying the, small niche of .. ell, not sure really, its basically a small suv without any room
You’re all completely wrong. It’s a very cheap car. Or better to say: very good value for money.

But with 700 nm, it also flie
Your Defender is gorgeous, wheels lovely as they are, but black pack option would improve contrast with your body colour o er silver. Please do a review of your power train and I implore you to get behind a D350.❤❤
Will do 👍
deisel is dirty tho . not sure its quite right right now. why so low anyway, i get almost 40 from my 20 year old 2.8 petrol
Always loved a LR. The new defender has grown on me, looks good in most colours I’ve seen. Have now seen a few ineos grenadiers locally as well I think in the style stakes defender has it. 👍👍
Same here!
no way, it looks plastic
£86k is ridiculous, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser at about £50k looks incredible value, wish Toyota would do a SWB Land Cruiser too!
And a Toyota would be reliable!!!
Let’s face it JLR don’t have an enviable reputation on that front. A shame, because it looks great.
They will bring out a SWB Prado like they did before.
Love my Grenadier ❤
@@andrewhurstcars hope so, not to familiar with their models but same styling as the 2024 but 2-door would be stunning!
At £50k is a no brained for such a good car. But lets see if it’s popular? then prices def won’t be that low!!
Good aren’t they 👍
Okay, that ladder is pretty cool. Whenever I’ve seen this on the road, I just assumed you had to use the wheel as a step up to reach the ladder. Thanks for showing us that 👍🏼
You’re welcome 👍
Had the misfortune of one of these parking next to me in tescos car park. Thing took up most of the space and I had to squeeze back in. Guy came out with some milk, I guess the off road capability was required to buy some milk.
Son has a Discovery 4, I just want this Defender, what a beast of a motor 😂
Cool are they. Love the Disco 4 too 👍
They are nice but they snap crankshafts sometimes at very low millages. Reliability and cost to repair is also shocking.
Yep fully get the appeal, they’re gorgeous looking motors. And clearly very capable.
Nice to see the inline 6 rather than the V6 which seems to have crank issues 👍
👍
When I bought my roof box, the salesman told me not to put it in the middle, but to one side as it makes it easier to get stuff in and out of. Now I chuckle when I see people struggling with a roof box in the middle, trying to load or unload it.
I get that but my OCD doesn’t 😂
@@PetrolPed then the answer sir, is two roof boxes! 😁😉
I quite fancied the commercial 90 at launch in green with the white roof and white steel wheels but they have made it special order I think as a commercial vehicle. I can definitely appreciate the car you are in Pete but it is hideously expensive in that spec.
It is quite pricey 😬
Hi Peter i completely get what you love about the defender, it is the ultimate adventure vehicle .i needed a bit more space so went for the kombi transporter, but i put the lift kit and the off road wheels and BF GOODRIDGE tyres .i really do hope in 4 months you chop in the porsche and keep the defender. defender even if you dont keep that exact model im sure you could find a newly new model for less money with just as many goodies on it . Keep up the great work hope you had a fantastic time out at the ring 🇬🇧🇩🇪👍
Are you seriously deluded? Ultimate adventure vehicle 😂😂😂

Colour suits the wheels perfectly imo. 👍👍🇬🇧
I think so too!
Hi, great review and good to see you’re enjoying it. All round a great car. My wife moved from and Evoque to a Defender D250 90 HSE and loves it. It won’t ever see a muddy track I’m sure, but even as a motorway cruiser it does a great job. I recently asked what she’ll get next, simple, another one.
btw, it’s silver and we got the front and rear sections painted black and badges changed to black - looks awesome.
That’s a good endorsement 👍
Nice 👌
yeahh deffo a wifes car
Thanks for the review. Got a Hard top 90 on order, just gotta wait it out. Test drove a 90 x dynamic at the weekend Loved it
Nice one!
I get the ladder and roof rack, the gear carrier is pointless.
I prefer the clean look.
I like the wheels, but cream coloured steelys would look awesome, as others have said
Fair enough!
its for girls hairdryer etc haha
We’ve got a Range Rover velar , and despite what people say and think of Range Rovers it’s the best car we’ve ever owned, it’s the Swiss Army knife of the car world , it will go anywhere uphill down dale, in fact off road it’s amazing,we have a disabled daughter who needs a specialised pushchair , that flies in the boot with ease as well as a weeks shopping , wouldn’t have nothing else apart from Land Rover, Range Rover .
Great to hear 👍
Squircles was a word used by fiat when they bought out the updated Fiat Panda with the weird rounded off square instrument dials. The squircles on the Defender do look better than the Fiat ones.
indeed :)
34’ yacht and a Casio 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Funny because I was planning to buy this last Spring and ended up getting a VW GTI 40th Anniversary for 34K USD
Ton of wind noise from the side appendages
Not a ton but certainly increased 👍
the ladder is a genius design
Yes blacken the front plate Pete and the lettering, maybe leave the grill silver.
What would interest me is are there any significant differences between having the spare wheel on the back over having it removed. What's she like to drive, live with, fuel economy, look like etc. What's that weigh 30 kilos? Shoved out on the back. Comparative test there Pete. Don't know about you, but it's really rare to need to change a wheel and there are lighter, smaller storable alternatives.
Yeah I get that but it’s nice these days to have a car with a full size spare 👍
Great video , thanks. We pickup our new 90 HSE next week so looking forward to comparing views later
You will love it 👍
Absolutely brilliant review as usual PP.
Thanks 🙏🏻
I’m working on it 😂
@@PetrolPedI have just configured my 90 and it is £97785!!!! Argghh!!!….umm….I think used..😳😳😳😱😱😱
The colour matched wheels look great.
I think so too 👍
Looks great!
My pleasure 👍
Great review Ped , very clever tech, all rounder. I was told when I picked up my discovery in 21 this engine is derived from BMW straight six , hence the silky smoothness. On a good run it will do 39- 40 mpg . Cracking engine for these vehicles. Keep on rocking in a free world!
👍
Nice car. Rather than buying this 75th one Pete for £85k, you could just order a Defender 90 D250 HSE for £62k. The only thing you can’t get is the Grasmere Green paint.
Perfect car for Tracey, Pooches and yourself to have and own, go for it if you can.
👍
I would go black on the front accents for sure Pete. I do like the look of them though! I can see you rolling that alongside your 911 👍🏻🇨🇦
If it was me I'd get the 110 without the exterior add-ons. I don't normally like Land Rover products but I think they've nailed it with the Defender.
Indeed 👍
Clever roof box, opens both ways, not seen that before. Also, nice place for the car review maybe use it again.
Cheers 👍
I agree with you Pete regards making the silver exterior trims black, would make more sense to me. Actually was thinking that when you spoke about the spare wheel cover. That also needs to be a single colour, then you don’t have the levelling issue!
Why oh why does that storage box have a silver lid 🤷🏼♂️. JLR it also needs to be black!
Just needs spraying or wrapping 👍
Just needs spraying or wrapping 👍
On the bus to Bournemouth and super video to pass the time ❤
Hope you enjoyed it!
recently picked up a 2022 defender 110 D250 XS with a nice spec. it's a fantastic bit of kit.
Every diesel car I have had has suffered from dpf issues. It is this alone that has convinced me not to ever buy another diesel.
Pete, I loved the comment about the mud-flap colour....de-ja vue😂
😜😂
I agree with your wife- I think you should BUY IT NOW..!!
BRILLIANT
😬😬😬
Thinking that the silver part of the spare wheel cover and the external gear box would look better in matching body colour.
Cool idea 👍
Can see how impressed you are with the car, I'm sure it is really good. My missus dream car to be honest. I do struggle with the colour but I haven't seen it in the flesh and it would be a dull world if we all liked the same things. Will you be getting one for Mrs P?
surely its for his missus, not a typical blokes car by any stretch
👍
Thanks! 👍
Stop reading comments and spent time with the misses! Anyway, you're 100% sold to this car I guess. It's a nice car with a bright color and if you see it as the next Discovery you're right on it! Hope you can get hold of it.
I know…can’t help myself 😜😂
It still works? That's good... but a little surprising... 😎
Great looking vehicle .Just stands out.
Thanks 👍
Love our 90 X!
👍
Not sure why two door off roaders, look so good. Like the Defender 90, but do like the Ford Bronco two door. Three engine choices in the US, all petrol. The 2.0l turbo is reasonable in terms price, jumping up to the 6 cylinder though things start getting $.
Gerry McGovern… the world’s best car designer.
You have a great view to the rear of the car by using all 3 mirrors 👍
@@PetrolPed Good to know. And a great review thanks!
Looks like a big MINI.
Hi Peter i was outside Woodford land rover last night and they had a 72 plate defender 110 estate in white 3 litre diesel with 5,000 miles for 67 grand .
Ooo 🤔😬👍
The 90 looks like a Mini lol. I had a 110 at launch. I let it go after a year because I had the Range Rove and didn't need a second daily driver. I needed a more off road capable overlander. However I loved it 100%! I just had no niche for it, unfortunately. The interior is perfect IMO! I loved the interior! Everything about the interior is perfect! I just wish it had a rear solid axle **sighs**
My fiance and I just moved to Utah USA from Canada, and i'm thinking about getting another 110. It would be perfect for the desert countryside we live in!
i said mini and noddy cross :)
Try the standard landcruiser in 2024
I have one just like it, P400 and I Love it ❤❤❤
Nice 👌
There are 3 of these 75th models localish to me.
A plain 110.
A kitted 90 like yours and a tweaked 90.
The tweaked one has black roof and wheels with black bumper bits. That with the kit would be my choice.
Lovely cars otherwise, can’t wait to own a 110 D300 HSE in the future.
Nice 👌
Same here. Got mine new in March. Boot space is 6 inches less than a Fiat 500! Kept it three months and sold it on.
Awesome video....been contemplating getting a 90 for a bit now to replace my Honda Element ( almost, visually the same), however the reliability factor scares me
Go for it!
Very informative Ped, thank you. 👌
My pleasure!
Love the car looks amazing especially the colour for me would have go go for the 130 cause I've got 3 kids
Yep 👍
My favorite is the LR 4 !!! Unfortunately by the time I was able to buy one, they were older. My new favorite is the 110 !!! Why not power folding rear seats ??? Especially at this price point.
...very cool and stunning car. Very British 👍. Saw a lot in the south of France and Monaco during our holidays. I would prefer the long wheel base 110 and white wheels 😎👌
That would be cool!
Has to be steel wheels for me certainly. Can’t stand the attaché case on the side as they are definitely going to get tanned (broken into) at some point. Haven’t seen your channel in a long while and was surprised to see a non mini?!
Looks like it should be in a Barbie movie.
Call me Ken 👍
Really enjoyed this one Peter. I’ve always loved LR/RR and really do love the new Defender, this special edition is utterly stunning, love the colour and the wheels too. Every time I see one go past I can’t help but look. I’m glad you’re really enjoying this (when you can get the keys 😂) and can’t wait for more of this beauty 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
Cheers Pal 👍
I would love one of these (not a fan of the wheel colour though!)
Perfect DINK vehicle (Dual Income No Kids) 👍
Oh yes 😜😂
Not only will you mpg suffer on short journeys so will the DPF.
Those engines are notorious as regards dpf issues sub 20k miles.
Looks good but I think paniers bellong on motorbikes, it just says due to design we didn't have enough space so stuck a lump on the side
Judging by the petrol ped stickers its a done deal already.
Ah…you spotted them 😜👍
I own a d4 ULEZ ok and look at the 90 one day as a replacement? Glad to see someone not demonise the diesel. Hybrid seems to be a bye word added to everything to maybe fool the masses? 90 looks cooler than the 110 but less practical than a golf! And let’s face it at 86k will likely to see a puddle in a Waitrose car park than off road. But I still want one 😂
Little box on the side. I’ve got this really cool thing at the back of my car.
I’m sure it’s called a boot 😂😂😂
Doesn’t look nearly as cool 😜👍
I must admit though I love the defender. Especially in that colour
Love this review of the 90. 😊
Hi Ped
Late to the party on this one, but great review again. However in my humble opinion this is a “Marmite” car, love it or hate it. Not for me I have to say. Why? Well lacking 4 doors, practicality, and the looks of a urban warrior. However I will agree with you on the diesel engine for this type of vehicle. Spot on.
