I’m 3 years late but this video is super informative for my 3A/3B hair. I really had no idea what products to use or what procedure to follow before watching this. Thank you
Can we just say that Shea Moisture is God's blessing for our hair. I too started growing my hear by college. We had no option but to have our hair cut growing up lol. Anyway, yes yes to all this! I dont have Geranium but Lavender and Tea Tree is in my essential oil mixture for moisturizing my hair. I do need to do better with taking care of my hair though. I have been slacking. I also don't shampoo my hair much at all, just condition my hair. Also, you said Phthalates right! :) Annnnddddd the fact that you do not like the smell of Lavender lol - its the best. I love Jasmine too and I mix it in with my lotion after I bathe that way I smell like Jasmine. :) Your curls are awesome! Great job!
My routine is very similar. I’ve tried skipping the regular conditioner and using only the leave-in conditioner once, and that was the last time, lol. My hair turned out less defined and dry.
I would also recommed the shea moisture curl mousse to boost & the curl gel soufle so you dont have to style your hair everyday as long as it proetect it at night. Finish it off with the curl mist great shine & keeps your hair moodturized for long period of times eliminating a lot of frizz.
Thank you this was so helpful You actually explained the products and went into detail on what they do and then u showed us what to do this was so helpful thank u sm man! 😓
So, you help me a lot, even 2y ago, i never see some content like this video here on Brazil, i ever dream to made my hair like you do in this video, thanks for the routine, that really help me a LOT! Hope you still helping people god bless you! 🙏🥰
Try out the Ouidad heat/humidity gel at the end of your routine it’s changed my existence. Texas gets insanely hot/humid so this helps keep the moisture locked in even longer and makes the hair extra bouncy.
I have long 3b(?) type hair. I usually shower with those same Shea Moisture products. Every once or twice a month, I'll shower with sulfate shampoo to kinda reset my hair to clean out all the products used in my hair. For daily, I used leave in conditioner from Shea Moisture. I also used curling cremes to define my curls and then seal it all with argan oil. Sometimes I used coconut oil after I shower but not every day. I love my hair and never felt so free after accepting my hair type! I feel like a hair metal sometimes lol I should probably pick up my guitar
Omg lol hahaha I just started my curl journey like 2 months ago so the is very awesome to watch. I use to have dreads for years and years . Lol omg your awesome dude. Love it love it love it .😍💙💜
Great video, exactly what i needed. I use shea moisture too and it looks great but the only problem is once the hair dries. Like when my hair is wet straight out of the shower it looks fine but as soon as it dries, it frizzes very easily, (like when i put a shirt on or seomthing) and it doesn't stay defined. I've tried leave in and it works okay but it makes my hair have a weird texture to it.
I’m mixed blend with wiry tight curls, probably about 4-5 times thicker than yours. When at a number 1 clipper it feels like your touching fur 😂😂 I have a love hate relationship with this mop on my head and I’m currently in the process of growing my hair…again 🙄 When long my hair is pretty amazing and will dread naturally if I only wet my hair daily. Though when I wash it, the dreads just fall away and the curls are back. Since my hair is so dry and wiry, I don’t wash my hair very often. Going to look more into the oils this time to try and get that soft definition as my hair grows again. Have a great day 😁

I have a ton of plant allergies and I’ve found that any hair product that have too many different plant based fragrances ingredients or whatever give me a ton of issues. I’m 33 and still can’t figure out wtf to do with my hair…
Thank you for the well informative video. I have been a master barber for years and I also work in corporate America during the day. Highly recommend Shea Moisture Products.
Are these products safe to sleep with without washing your hair? I wash my hair once a week and would like to use an organic chemical free product that I can go days without washing. I heard sleeping with chemical products can lead to baldness.
I dont know though| i want to get my hair to look like this but i dont know if it will work with my 2c wavy hair and because its so super short i dont know if this will work for me i hope it do
was looking for a curly hair routine video for my brother- was skimming through the video and stopped on you reading shea moisture @ 2:30 “can’t read it backwards… can’t read it forwards” 🤣
I got a perm and always wakeup with poofy hair, but i do follow this exact routine and i have maintained my curls like so, I also use olaplex no.3 once a week, and i use hair creams of different type, to keep them shiny and glossy :)
Bro your video is a god send!! I have your type of hair but just a bit longer on the top. I tried not using a towel but I feel like my hair is really damp after waiting and shaking it out. Do you recommend just waiting it out till it dries or can I use the towel a certain way so I don’t mess up the curls?
When I do my curl routine All I do is wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner once or twice but the rest do the week I do conditioner but I don’t put any products in it
Hello Gorgeous! I've been wearing the curly style for years and have been looking for a product that would provide the strongest curl, but simultaneously be devoid of the wet and/or greasy feel. Thanks to your video I think I have finally found the answer! I can't wait to try your recommendation(s). Thanks again!!
My bf has the exact same hair texture and type and uses almost all the same products but after 2 hours, his hair starts to frizz. Any tips to keep the curls looking fresh all day?
What if u left a little if the conditioner in i have the same type and length of hair but got school tmr😂 and just need to get some curls bussin after my haircut
I know this video is old but I definitely showed my bf the freeze frame of the side of your head toward the end of the video and we both freaked out at how much it looked like me 😂😂😂 thank you for the tips, I need to try a different hair cream to Cantù. It’s been weighing my hair down.
yo bro ive tried using shea moisture shampoo & conditioner its been like 2 weeks now but my hair starting to fall and develop a dandruff , what do u think i should do? should i switch to other products? thanks
I’m hoping to use this video to help me be able to do my nephews’ hair! They are both mixed and my sister doesn’t know how to treat their hair either so they just keep cutting it😭
Hey! Sorry to bother you, but I'm working on a school project about facial and curly hair cosmetics, and I'd like to use some parts of your video. Could I have your permission to do so? Thanks in advance!
I have tried it, but I found that it wasn’t really necessary for my curl pattern, kinda overdid the curls for me. And I blow dried it once, but I prefer air dry even if I have to show up somewhere with wet hair lol, my hair is super thin so blow dry makes it poof up a lot. Also possible I wasn’t doing it right
If you have low porosity hair (your hair floats in a cup of cold water) which a lot of people do then the curl smoothie is going to be too thick for wash n go styles like this.
I’m white and nearly the exact same hair type and for for 20 years I had no idea how to maintain it. You helped out tremendously. Thanks a lot

It's like a hybrid between leave in+detangler. It condition, moisturizes, detangles, shine all in one. Very versatile product.
