Huge shout out! Thank you so much for this video! I was able to accomplish my first rope climb today! If you can't do a rope climb, take the time to watch this! Great explanation, and technique is very doable! Thank you so much! Definitely following this channel.
This Tuesday I climbed the rope for the 1st time! 👊 It was a milestone for me! 🔝 I was so happy! It was actually more difficult to climb down 😂burnt my hands quite a bit🙈... Thank you so much for this instructional video, your advice helped me a lot! Appreciate it ❤️Love your videos! Always so helpful! You're as great a coach as an athlete! 👏💪🤗🔝
Thanks for this video Brent!! I finally figured out the disconnect and why my grip burned out so quick because I was not scooping the rope into my butt. Glad you explained this in such detail!
The camera man should have just stepped back or zoomed out - simple solution. Overall video was amazing and so well explain I loved every explanation - Great job
Great video. I used your techniques to utilize the J Hook for climbing the rope. I do have trouble with descending without burning my hands or coming down too fast. Any other pointers? I am only 5'6" so have a lot longer way down than you.
I am able to hop up on the rope but when I try to go higher I lose my footing. I am using j hook. Any pointers to prevent that? Please help. @ professor project
Upper body strength plus skinny legs seems to make for a better rope climber. I guess that's why climbing in general is so popular nowadays when legs are underrated and involving thanks to wheelchairs, I mean, cars.
Hey! Sorry you feel like the video is ruined, please forgive us - this was our first video, ever! We have learned a lot since then. Hope you can still take away some major tips about the rope climbs still!
The instructor on this video was super informative but the person filming definitely did not do a good job capturing everything. So I didn’t get to see what things should actually look like when they’re implemented
A lot of bla bla to show how to climb a rope for beginner, which left you to stay a beginner. I learned by myself and in 2 months and half I could do a L- sit rope climbing go from bottom to top and top to bottom. Look at better videos!
How the hell does this video only have 133 views? This is the best rope climb explanation/efficiency tips video on RUclips!
Happy now
Yep but is 20 min of video
Agree! This is the best video I've seen on rope climbs!
Your camera man needs to learn how to get you in the shot
Best rope climb video I've seen.
Camera man needs work though....

I gorilla taped my rope makes it easier on your hands and prevents friction burn
Just coming back to these videos and you are a really excellent coach Brent. Well done.
Thanks for this video Brent!! I finally figured out the disconnect and why my grip burned out so quick because I was not scooping the rope into my butt. Glad you explained this in such detail!

Thanks for the video. I will do my first rope climb on Tuesday. I will try to use your techniques.
Do you advise to use gym gloves for the ropes?
Thankyou
How nice to see someone actually using proper technique in xfit rope climbs lol
Practicing asap
Which warm up do you recommend before practising the rope climb?
love your socks
Best one ...🔥
And also got to know why my pinki was dripping😂
would have loved to see the version for short people
I am able to hop up on the rope but when I try to go higher I lose my footing. I am using j hook. Any pointers to prevent that? Please help. @ professor project
How do you get good at this and pullups where it becomes easy? How many times a week?
Great video, great techniques! However the end is super risky lol
this is the one
Just want you to know that after watching this video...I made it up the rope!!! It was a huge milestone for me!
THIS IS GREAT NEWS!! Thank you for sharing!
which Nanos are those?
I would have liked to see the transition to the next reach and grab..the videographer was not able to capture it…thanks for thr explanation!
Why the horizontal camera angle? Everything we need to see keeps getting cut off. Go vertical angle.
Upper body strength plus skinny legs seems to make for a better rope climber. I guess that's why climbing in general is so popular nowadays when legs are underrated and involving thanks to wheelchairs, I mean, cars.
Brent out here doing God's work lol. This video saved me from gassing my forearms in every rope climb workout.
❤
does this work the same if the rope is tied like a swing
what?
Were you an officer in us military ?
This video needs to be edited! Like, Brent talking and demonstration on display. The cameraman isn’t syncing with what Brent demonstrates!
Love this. But there remains one Question. Can I also wear my Sunglasses inside? ;)
Camera man ruined the.video. But thanks for the tips.
Hey! Sorry you feel like the video is ruined, please forgive us - this was our first video, ever! We have learned a lot since then. Hope you can still take away some major tips about the rope climbs still!
Great explanation but the cameraman dropped the ball
Really like this video bur your hands were out of shot a lot of the time 😿
Ah yes, this was our first video! Maybe we should reshoot this?!
The instructor on this video was super informative but the person filming definitely did not do a good job capturing everything. So I didn’t get to see what things should actually look like when they’re implemented
Officer Candidate showed this rope climb technique far better using a lot less words, and he did not bother putting on sun glasses.
Good. Now do that with 30+ pounds of gear.
good instructions but you got the worst cameraman ever
I thought it's a technique to climb fast but more on what to put on..
At what point you stop loving your own voice and show first time how to climb in real? I did not have time to wait.
Rude
Or! You could ignore 99% of this video and STOP USING YOUR FEET TO CLIMB!
