There were over 1,800 people on the first ride of this at 12 pm EST. I did it as a lunch ride / race. Fortunately, I had done my warm-up on the first few km of the ride so I didn't get caught out on the animation - had already triggered it on the warmup. It is a once per account animation so no worries there. My ride was fairly calm until 10 km . . . and then 5 km . . . and then 2 km . . . each set of attacks getting punchier and punchier. It wasn't a race . . . until it was totally a race. The long version of this stage is indeed 10 laps of Jarvis setup for crits - I think the route is called Decathon.
ZwiftInsider says the animation only appears the first time you enter Jarvis (thankfully!) I might be doing this B race instead of the C as it goes up the Volcano KOM 🥴 so much for making that easier 😂 All I can say is, if they go off as fast as that in my race then I'll just say goodbye to them and Z2 it for the route badge 😁
Gerben, a co-worker/co-bicycle rider friend of mine says "if there is more than 1 person riding, it's a race". Great race! Only 297W average?!? was it a bad day? 😉
Then I really don’t understand this obsession of yours with Zwift. In the past for sure, but not currently when Zwift is nothing more than obsolote piece of cycling virtualisation software and totally not usable for racing.
@@RideWithGerben For sure Zwift has a lot of users as it was the first such cycling simulation, has been around 8-9 years and has big advertising budget. And it WAS revolutionary software. But Zwift has not been evolving, partly probably its software base in current form dosen't allow it. And because of it client side model it's not fit for proper racing. If you're interested in fair racing and or serious training, then TrainingPeaks Virtual (formerly indieVelo) is the most advanced system available. And it's user numbers are going up like crazy at the moment.
@@RideWithGerben For sure Zwift has big user numbers, as it was first that kind of cycling software, has been around wahat, 8-9 years already and has big advertising budget. Zwift WAS revolutionary app, but not anymore. As far as training and racing is concerned Zwift has not been evolved at all, partly probably because it’s under the hood software base is not flexible. And as Zwift is based on client side model, it’s not suited for any serious racing at all! For real racing and training currently the greatest choice is definitely TrainingPeaks Virtual (former indieVelo). And TPV user numbers are now going up like grazy!
Hahaha that new route reveal camera angle in the middle of an effort, is DIABOLICAL! Shame on you Zwift 🤣
Look at me panicking 😂
Never imagined to be a thumbnail on RUclips together with D. Seegers.
Veel succes nog! Was een super race!
Dit was een mooie inderdaad. Ik was helemaal naar de vaantjes 😂
You are an absolute legend! Ride on!!
Thank you MAX!
"I don't want this, I look it up on RUclips" 😂 for me you ARE youtube. This is where I want to look it up!! 🤣
LOL!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
When there are new routes to be thrashed, Gerben will come to the rescue! 😂 Super strong as always, Gerben! 💪

No more animations then. Pfew! It’s always a race but in my case it was from the gun!

Volcano and then the Island. Oh man that’s rough. Let’s do that one later 😂

The hardest race I was in for a long time 😂
What’s the fastest all around bike again? 2024 Dogma F + Enve 6.7 ?
Yes. Dogma with the 7.8’s
@ perfect i put on the 7.8s. Will experiment this week!
If you use rider view #2 you won't get the animation. Thanks the the recon though, that was really fast.
I hope after this one that the animation stays where it is: locked away. I was so glad I didn’t lose contact with the front group after that one 😂
'dont do this in a race' You know where you went wrong here right ? 😂
It’s always a race! 😂😂
You have a contract with Zwift to make these videos?
No. No contract.

@@KuriReevel Zwift has between 750.000 and 900.000 active subscribers. So, yeah, quite a few people like it. It has its faults though, but obsolete?
