To me there's no difference between what Terrence says and Weinstein. It's all the same mumbo jumbo. The only difference is Weinstein has a degree in my view. Weinstein doesn't invent anything, idk how he makes money. Probably from selling a speculative book of theories. I think these scientists just get payed to study all day. Neither of them know what they're talking about.
Here’s what’s not talked about, and don’t forget that Terrance is an actor. It’s weird he wouldn’t use some easy terms. The seed of life is the simplest construction of bubbles that they argue about magnetism and electricity over. It can be expanded throughout space, and using the planar drawing of the seed of life or the tree of life gave way to Greek geometry and I’m sure geometry that predated the Greeks. The compass and straightedge of the masons guards this secret, and the plumb describes the levelness of an object. They really stomp out Terrance, but it also feels like he lets them stomp him out. They’re trying to sweep this knowledge under the rug. Everything comes from the connections between all of us in the net of Indra and we are atomic in nature, so each of our cells, or each of our personal bubbles in the supercell created by infinitely connecting cells is mirrored by the supercell nature of our organization as life on this planet. Look at the geometry of soil. It’s all just shapes, but how tf are all the shapes straight lines. A sphere for a canon is not a mathematician’s sphere, but it touches an acceptable amount of points on a spherical radius. Maybe the icosohedron is not the rights shape to form a regulation sphere. But would you pass a sphere that clears 100 points rather than 20. What about a billion points? Somewhere a distinction is made to accept the shape as a sphere. Finally, if you’ve made it to the end of this chapter, if it is so simple to construct these basic connections into historical solids, why do we only have 5 shapes. Just the model on the seed of life drawing proves three dimensional shapes of an unpublicized magnitude can be obtained by the average person. And yet we’re taught the names of a few shapes and not the building blocks to get utilize them.
Terrance is wrong about platonic solids. He says they don't fit into each other. Check out Frank Chester, he shows it to you plainly. They do. Flat our, even to metaphysical geniuses. Terrance is wrong. This whole freaking clip could be summarized that Terrance uses fancy terms to explain actually something very simple (flower of life) that have nothing to do with the actual term. Terrance shouldn't use the term super symmetry to sound smarter than he is without actually knowing what it means.
In this podcast Eric Weinstein not only showed his brilliance but his astounding patience dealing with someone like Terence. It's like an award winning master chef giving some positive comments to a five year old that recently learned how to microwave a HotPockets.
You have Eric’s nuts in your mouth to be saying stuff like “showed his brilliance” all he did was just criticize his work with responsive analogies, questions Terrence on how he believes the out come of his work is a accurate representation of the geometrical paradigm is accurate and nothing but relying on others work because his seems “new”
@@drewcrank6929It's accurate tho. Terrance is clearly not even 120IQ range, while Eric is an brilliant scientist with probably 140 and up... And that's enormous difference

Terrance arrogantly went on the show pretending he knew better than people who studied math. He needed to be brought down to earth. Calling his ideas horseshit, is accurate.
@iamsumware but this wasn't a conversation about someone's music or someone's artwork......it's not saying that the person themselves is a bullshit person....just the claims and misunderstanding.... Need to be blunt.
Isn't that what Terrance is saying that everybody has it wrong but they can't bring themselves to admit it so why not make Terrance look like he doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm with Terrance.
Terrence reminds me of a road trip I once took taking my aged grandmother to see family three states away. She believed that if you let the gas go below half a tank, the car would suffer damage and break down. No matter how much logic and explaining you could possibly provide, NOTHING would move her off this ridiculous, insane and irrational belief. Finally, after having had enough of it, I let the car get down to a 1/4 20 miles outside of Gallop, New Mexico. And god damn if that car did not choose that exact moment to throw a belt. There was NO shutting grandma up after that. For YEARS it was all I ever heard about.
The only logic behind the gas tank under half thing is that the fuel pump (if it's internal to the fuel tank) is not completely submerged in fuel and not keeping itself as cool as it could or should be. Still mostly bs though. Maybe it could make a difference in the life of the car but it certainly didn't make your accessories belt exit chat 😂😂😂
I heard the closer to empty it gets the more likely it is to get any dirt or other crap that might be floating in there to stuff up your engine. In the past year I’ve run out of fuel three times (now I carry a spare fuel container). Hey that stuff is expensive and when I find a half decent deal I load up and then I go as far as I can until I find another. I drive lots and the stuff is expensive! Anyway car is still in good nick. 2012 Rav 4.
When Eric calls Terrance a polymath, he's politely calling him a "Jack of all subjects". Basically, he knows just enough terms and semi-facts to give unknowing listeners the illusion that he's a genius and an authority on whatever subject he's referencing. To the educated listener, he comes off as the little know-it-all kid who thinks they know everything about everything with too many holes in thier logic to point out the blatantly stupid and ignorant irregularities, inconsistency and blatantly wrong delivery. Andy Warhol's quote: "Be famous, and they will give you tremendous applause even when you are actually pooping." As an artist, I hate postmodern because the rule in postmodern art is that there is no rule. While, true artists with art discipline trying to illustrate what the "no rule" concept is, we've got celebrities, influencers and politicians making a fortune from a pile of horseshit without understanding the no rule concept. Their work of doodling may look not so dissimilar to the true artists' works, but they are vastly different from the contextual standpoint. The no rule concept becomes significant when you've spent a good portion of artistic career producing art using the fundamental principles of art. For example, Picasso was never a doodler, as we know him most. He was highly disciplined with artistic principles understanding composition, color and light. His choice of transition to cubism is what makes it modern & postmodern. Then there is Terrance. Thinks he can achieve the same and bend the rules of science like postmodern art. Deconstruct the laws of physics and terminologies in his own language and reconstruct them like it works. No. It won't work.

Neither of them know what they're talking about.
to be fair, 98% of the audience doesn't fully understand
Still plumbers are still the smartest guys on earth😅

No matter how much logic and explaining you could possibly provide, NOTHING would move her off this ridiculous, insane and irrational belief. Finally, after having had enough of it, I let the car get down to a 1/4 20 miles outside of Gallop, New Mexico. And god damn if that car did not choose that exact moment to throw a belt. There was NO shutting grandma up after that. For YEARS it was all I ever heard about.

🤣🤣🤣She tried to tell you. I try to keep mine above half just in case I need to make an extended road trip. False security I guess
- 1x1 equals 2
- South is less dense than North
- Supersymmetry is not what you think it is (yes, I mean you)
I have two degrees in engineering and have no idea wtf they’re talking about
Let me break it down for you. Terrance was talking about the flower of life and Eric told him he’s on the spectrum. The end

I'm just really high right now

"People who see many connections are often bad at cleaning up their own stuff and people who don't see the connections are often very rigorous and they don't do shit for their entire life." Respect to Eric Weinstein for that statement.
That was The most poignant statement of the entire video. I love conversations like this.
Clean your room, bucko
I came to rejoyce with Eric's instruction over Terrence, and I left heavily wounded by this exact statement!!
ELI5 pls. bc im pretty sure i see a lot of connections and patterns
I am quoting him on that one 😂
I'm starting to think the real reason he was replaced by Don Cheadle in Iron Man is they couldn't get Terrance to stop explaining his math/physics/philosophy on how the Iron Man suit worked.
😂😂😂😂
Ya, I thought it was such a weird choice at first, but now I’m like, oooohhhh🤣🤣🤣
Terrace was replaced because he demanded more money thatn Robert Downey was getting for the 2nd movie.
@@BryBry2plyI don't understand why u can't just take a joke
Apparently everyone who works on a movie with him he goes up and starts spewing terryology to them lol
So he played around with some 3d modeling physics software and now he’s an expert???? 😂
Terence is gonna glue buttered bread to a cat in attempt to produce infinite energy
Bro, infinite energy requires chicken fried steak, duckt taped to a baboon with buffalo wings.
Love that commercial
@@Garrett.1111bro you make more sense than Terrance.
@@Garrett.1111 once you reverse the polarity of the polygeomaticatron, the baboon inverts and yields a zero point energy, and that's why the square root of one isn't one

"They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I said I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard..."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
New Vegas, love it

Bro put some shapes together and thinks he reinvented mathematics.
"For the layman out there" says the layman
Hes far from a layman dude, his understanding while apparently out dated is well beyond an average man's grasp of this subject
@@richmahogany21not really. He likes big words and he likes throwing elbows with real scientists. That don’t make him a scientist
@simpleagain1 I didn't say he was I was stating that his grasp of the subject is far beyond a layman's, it's not about him throwing out big words he does understand the subject matter which is impressive in itself because to understand to that degree you need to be able to grasp many other principles and mechanics that factor in, I'd bet he would school you on this subject more so than Eric could school him
@@richmahogany21 highly doubtful. He has in inflated opinion of himself. They’re ALWAYS the easiest bubbles to pop!

Andy Warhol's quote: "Be famous, and they will give you tremendous applause even when you are actually pooping."
As an artist, I hate postmodern because the rule in postmodern art is that there is no rule.
