I am currently cooking 3 grocery bag packed full of broccoli greens along with 1 grocery bag of mustard greens. We have loved and grown mustard for years... but you have to have so much to get any for freezer. After growing broccoli micro greens I decided to try broccoli leaves off of the plants we grew.... The idea morphed into leaves off of beets, turnips, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach and cabbage ..... They all become named "greens" and taste wonderful . In cooking mustard I always boiled and threw out water twice to get the strong taste out. I've incorporated doing the same with all of the before mentioned. After boiling I sometimes put in the freezer as is.. but this time I am cooking with 4 onions sauted in bacon grease ... added 1 container each of beef and chicken broth for flavor. All is cooked in a pressure cooker because we got so used of mustard being tender, this helps the leaves of any of the plants be tender. Using all of the plant leaves we grow anyway gives me lots more greens for the freezer. We have always considered this to be "green gold" because so much work and time goes into just a small amount of finished product. Great video and so glad to see others enjoying the leaves of plants as apposed to composting or throwing!
