Komova would've been in the mix but hit her feet on the low bar and finished 5th I believe. Even then I think she was overscored in the final (without the .5 deduction she apparently would've won, but she has a lot more form issues than Mustafina).
Andrew I actually do think Komova would’ve won, don’t get me wrong I’m happy for mustafina, but Komova’s routine was going great until that foot hit the low bar. Always in finals lol, it happens
No, i wouldn't say that was Komova's gold. Her highest score in the games was 15.966. She rarely stuck her dismount (only almost did in TF). I agree she had the same chances as Kexin, Beth and Aliya, nevertheless Aliya was consistent all the time. She's the absolute queen of Russian gymnastics.

Her bars became so insanely good after the knee injury. They were obviously good before… but this was just masterful.
actually Mustafina, Komova, Kexin and Tweddle were neck to neck getting gold medal. So relieved while mustafina got it

Mauricio M but without Komova’s “obvious” errors her score would’ve been a 16.166.
