All vehicles are good. Is up to the owner keeping up with preventive maintenance in order to run smooth with no issues for years. I own one myself 2013 with 357k , haven’t done anything but PM’s and still running 100%.
Wow I just got on with 120,000 on the clock one owner from Ohio , black with red and black trim inside and so far I love it minus the plastic gm junk parts , thermo housing water outlet , valve cover blah blah , which I’m upgrading to aluminum ! And adding some go fast goodys , to make it a little bit funnier !
The cruze eco with a 6 speed manual is the only gm vehicle I would buy. I travel back and forth to St. Louis and Chicago a lot and my truck and XC90 suck gas my bmw gets around 30 on the highway it and my truck are manual as well I hate automatics with a passion. So I’m currently looking for a eco cruze to add to the fleet.
You are now in the same boat I was after retiring from GM. Once you are exposed to other brand vehicles, you become a kid in the candy store after those blinders come off. The Cruze was a solid car in its day, but there are a lot of choices out there!
Young guys are so jaded with these excellent cars. Try driving something like a 1983 Plymouth Turismo.Which I did for 6 years. Loud, raspy, rattly, and 22mpg.Then get back in that Cruze and you will think you are in a fine European sport sedan!!
This video just helped sell thousands of used chevy cruz manual transmissions. Compare this video with all small car automatics like the 2014 ford focus and you will see what i mean. You never complained about the things that would disqualify the car: transmission failure, engine failure, mechanical failure, body failure, climate control failure. The only things you complained about are the things shoppers want: no torque, no horse power, 6 speed transmission with a good tight pattern, easy clutch pedal, no manual, no electronics, no frills like power windows and spare tire donuts. Makes it easy to plop down $5000 to buy a used one that just had a new clutch plate put in.
I’ve had a somewhat major oil leak that required dropping the engine to replace a gasket and they put in a new clutch while they had it apart. Other than that, typical maintenance for 85,000
2011... Crap... Head gaskets, smoking, ears oil after smoking...bi mean cop gave me a ticket the smoke was so bad when driving up hill... Not fast response stepping on the gas delay.. risk getting hit when trying to merge.. smooth ride and roomy is the only good thing .. best has mpg highway is 32.. city 20.. oh and oil cooling assembly, and cooling system is plastic and leak after leak on those parts...
I parked next to one of these today here in 2023. I was like “is this for real?” The fact it’s a 6speed is the only appealing factor.
😉

It’s been a fun car for sure.
Excellent! I am in the same/similar boat

Exactly.
I hated my Cruze! It was just one issue after the other. Finally sold it because the turbo was going out at 60k miles
🤯

👍🏼
How is the reliability?

Want a BMW 330i? Gets 28mpg/32mpg! I am jealous of the manual though lol
🤣 straight trade 🤣😉😉
115,000 💪🏾 wym 😅
👍🏼
6th gear to the floor at 30 mph is no bueno
Haha 🤣
Question: did you return this back to Enterprise after reviewing? Surely nobody actually owns a Cruze
🤣🤣💀

I’ve had it 11 years and had no major issue.
