@dawudasha977 Agreed, crafty is putting it mild but is as good of word as any. Lee Bacs was also brought up on charges, convicted, fired, lost pension, and did some time in some federal prison someplace. His main thing was he received a lot of complaints from former inmates at LA county jail, alleging mistreatment from the deputies in CJ. Which he pretty much ignored and shredded all documents relating to. One thing on that, I was in LA county jail once for stupid stuff, nothing serious. But everyone from serious felony cases to small little misdemeanor cases like mine was. Anyway I have personally seen the abuse cases so I know the allegations are most likely true. But not to get into that, eventually the FBI sent inside several agents posing as inmates they're job was to observe the allegations and report back later. Long story short, when it was all said and done, the undercover agents did in fact personally witness countless cases of abuse, etc. It all ended with several deputies being fired, some were even criminally charged and convicted, Baca himself being included.

We shouldn't even have to rely on Bruen. The 2nd Amendment says it all. The right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. It seems as if a CCW comes with a lot of strings where you voluntarily give away your rights.
I applied with LASD for ccw last month and was surprised that I immediately got an interview date for June. The next day, I received an email from LASD that I need to apply with LAPD instead because I live in the City of LA. So I submitted a ccw application to LAPD and received a confirmation saying that I would be contacted in 9 to 12 months to schedule an interview. CRPA needs to look at suing LAPD as they are the issuing agency for the City of LA which has 40% of the total population of LA County. It seems to me that LAPD has a much bigger problem than LASD.
If there has to be a permit system at all this is how it should go. Once you apply you are given a temporary permit immediately. Than the state can take as long as they want to issue or deny the regular one, depending on the results of the background check. I've got a feeling that would speed up the states background checks considerably.
Los Angeles Sheriff took 16 months before I gave up and started paying all over again for my local PD who started issuing after the fact! Seven hundred dollars later I have my CCW that was already my damn right to have in the first place! Last fall LASD had 10,000 applications on file!

The State should take the money that they are spending on lawyers to stop the 2nd and use it to process the applications. Even better there should be no permit required.
No organizations are fighting for constitutional carry in California because everybody's making money hands over fist for the CCW permits. I did the math in Riverside alone and the issuing agency CCW unit have made close to 20 million within the past 6 years for CCW permits, renewals, and everything. Not including what the trainers make. Let's do the math. $180 for application and card issuance fees multipled by 42,000 equals 7,560,000 multipled by 3 for renewals in 6 years (renew every 2 years) comes to $22,680,000 give or take a few. Can you now see why they don't want constitutional carry in Riverside or California? Chad Bianco is not a second amendment sheriff. Trainers for the first 5 years made over $12,000,000 until sb2 then they started charging double so it's close to 16,000,000 for trainers! Our rights are being sold at a high price gentlemen! @@Rusterman-is7ex same as Laurie Smith who was convicted of corruption. She'll issue you a CCW permit if you "Were generous in donating to her campaign" or other funds. They are crafty with what they do.
@@Rusterman-is7ex look up Mike Corona also. Former Orange County Sheriff who also did federal time selling CCW permits. It's an epidemic in California. Now it's just Application fees and card issuance fees that's paying for the corruption
Keep up the good fight
What happened to the 2nd amendment is my permit? Any and all restrictions, regulations or laws that requires anything additional to that is unconstitutional!! Period! The US Supreme Court has ruled on this issue!
Well... as bad as LASD is... the Long Beach Police Department is much, MUCH WORSE!!!! Even if you hit the lottery and actually GET yours, you can only have one... yes, ONE... firearm on your card at one time. So... if you lose your gun, it breaks, or you just want to carry something ELSE... you will have to wait for RENEWAL TIME, and damn near do some of aspects of the process all over again! LB HATES guns. Period. And while I am a member of the CRPA, and have been to meetings... I am getting NOTHING that will help us in LB with this matter. All I have gotten is "well... they are just going to do whatever they want!"... and that's all. I see some pushback towards the LASD as well as the LAPD... but what about US? 😟😟😟
meanwhile criminals aren’t doing any of this permit processing they carry whatever they want & then they’re let go when they’re caught.
It will be 2 years in a couple of weeks since I applied for my CCW I've done all the training payed all the fees, I send in my finished certification for completed training 10 weeks ago, I emailed lasd today to see if I perhaps missed there Call to pick up my CCW and was told I would take a minimum of 6 weeks to review my final file well its 10 weeks and counting still nothing such BS there totally dragging there feet on purpose to deny me my very expensive premit that my Son In Montana gets to Constitutional carry, F the "Peoples Republic of Kalifornia"
I started on July 22 at LASD, just got clearance to take the Training/qualifying portion.
West Covina also requires a pys exam, which cost 150.
Can we please get an update on the wait times for Alameda County?
How many years will this take? How many filings, rulings, judgments, appeals, enbancs, remands, further appeals, more enbancs, mooted suits, etc?
If there has to be a permit system at all this is how it should go. Once you apply you are given a temporary permit immediately. Than the state can take as long as they want to issue or deny the regular one, depending on the results of the background check. I've got a feeling that would speed up the states background checks considerably.
22 months in Los Angeles County.
Yep. La Verne is the worst. $$$ The LACSD is the largest sheriffs department in the USA.
Los Angeles Sheriff took 16 months before I gave up and started paying all over again for my local PD who started issuing after the fact! Seven hundred dollars later I have my CCW that was already my damn right to have in the first place! Last fall LASD had 10,000 applications on file!
Talk about fees, San Diego County $800 For 16 hours class plus permit fee to start and then sometimes a year our more wait. No permit needed in Utah even non resident and they do offer resident permits for other states that recognize out of state permits.
Keep up the great work!!!!
Thanks, guys, for all you do.. will continue to support you when I can..
I applied for my CCW though LASD in December 2022. Its currently April 2024 and still have not heard back from the Sheriff.
Apparent Logic of US Laws
(Revised 2024-04-21) by SandCrabNews
#1 The 1776 US Declaration of Independence and the 1787 US Constitution must be read consecutively for context.
#2 The US Constitution provides a framework of government with separated powers to prevent tyranny.
#3 The US Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
#4 The constitutional Oath of Office is not a "granting of extra powers", it is an acceptance of constitutional restrictions on governmental powers in order to prevent tyranny.
#5 Violating the Constitutional Oath is an abdication of powers to govern.
#6 Only a natural born citizen may serve in the US presidency.
#7 All amendments to the US Constitution are the US Constitution.

#10 United States Codes cannot exceed, revise or amend the US Constitution.
#11 In all cases of birth there is a path to US citizenship in the United States Codes.
#12 Relying on jus soli (law of soil), the 14th Amendment provides two paths to US citizenship:
#1 Born in the United States (natural born citizens).
#2 Born outside the US and Naturalized in the United States under Title 8 US Codes.
#13 Due to indigenous property laws, persons born on American Samoa are US Nationals at birth and must enter a State for naturalization.
#14 "Citizenship is membership in a political society and implies a duty of allegiance on the part of the member and a duty of protection on the part of the society. These are reciprocal obligations, one being a compensation for the other. #19 State constitutions cannot restrict rights protected by COTUS.
#20 State constitutions may expand rights and liberty beyond COTUS.
#21 State laws do not amend State Constitutions.
#22 POLICY should have a SCOPE limiting reach. Always read the SCOPE of the POLICY.
#23 POLICY is not passed by the LEGISLATURE (Lawmaking body of government), so has no FORCE OF LAW.
#24 The POLICE (Executive Branch of Government) CANNOT MAKE LAWS, the POLICE can only ENFORCE LAWS.
#25 Find a copy of the POLICE DEPARTMENT POLICY MANUAL.
#26 Research the POLICY to see if it is backed up by MUNICIPAL CODES, COUNTY ORDINANCE, STATE LAWS, CONSTITUTIONS -- Probably not.
#27 Enforcement of a posted sign must be done under legislated laws, not policy; and when clarification is needed the sign should state the code referenced.
#28 Read State Laws for Constitutional EXEMPTIONS protecting your rights.
#29 Participate in your government, exercise your rights often, attend city council meetings, learn the rules of decorum and speak to the "chair" or mayor. Do not waste the people’s time by attempting to engage the audience. If needed, provide copies to the Clerk or Council and maybe leave a stack in the lobby.

I lived in LA County. I applied for CCW. Then I bought a house, moved, helped my work move warehouses, renovated my house, forgot I applied to LA County, applied to new county, and then got a call from LA County saying they were ready for me start the process lmao.
Imagine arguing the unconstitutionality of a permit process when the permits’ mere existence is unconstitutional.
I just go mine in LA county a few weeks back. Almost 2 years to get it. Crazy!!
I have had no issue obtaining and renewing a permit in Riverside County. Sheriff Bianco is doing a great job 👍
I'm the first to sue Riverside County for denying law abiding citizens their CCW permit. I'm an FFL, have an out-of-state CCW, range safety officer, waiting for my COE, well trained here in California Nevada and AZ and I carried in other states for years with no problems. I was so denied based on Arbitrary rules and subjective standards. You are not informed on the fact that Chad Bianco is a politician and can't be trusted. The proof is in the pudding and the pudding is my case. I know it pisses a lot of people off but that's the truth and tyrants and grifters hate the truth! Look it up. Chad Bianco kneeled to BLM! Would you ever kneel to BLM? Chad and his Deputies did! 😂 🤡
Sheriff Bianco is the best CA has!

Chuck, are you taking on LA city also? It took me 18 months to get a permit from LA city, which is handled by LAPD rather than the Sheriff. It also cost about $600 in total and required a "good moral character" standard. This was LA city, not LA county.
I applied to LASD on December 27, 2022 and have heard nothing. Oh they cashed my check in a hurry.

I'm currently in the process of getting my ccw, I'm about to have the virtual therapy session to see if I qualify for the oral in person therapy session that will cost me $400 on top of the rest of the fees involved in this process. All together it will total just about $800 when all is said and done
San Francisco is pretty laid back about CCW if you go through the Police Department (Not sure about the sheriff 3:38 )
LASD 645 days and still counting here…
LA County having a large population is no excuse for claiming a manpower problem processing apps. Big population = big staff. Just rearrange what some do, like the tiny Marin County did.
It took 23 months and 17 days to get my CCW Permit in hand with LASD (Los Angeles County). Lots of excuses for the delays including “lost” paperwork while processing which I had to re-submit. When all was said and done my costs were close to $1200 (processing fees, background check (live scan) and required 16 hour CCW training.)
It took me under a year to get my ccw and 700 ish under the old sheriff Alex…. Luna is not ccw and 2nd amendment supporters… you can see that demeanor in Monterey park shooting

For the love of this Nation DO NOT LET THEM CHARGE YOU MONEY FOR WHAT IS ALREADY YOURS !
Criminals don’t apply for CCW’s. Constitution says law abiding citizens don’t need to either.
How can the people sue politicians and judges for violating the constitutional rights of hundreds of millions of citizens? We must have recourse to send them to prison.
Prison is too good for them.
waaaaay easier to just put the strap in your pocket. 2A is law. Bruen affirmed that law.

SD sherrif web page is giving a 4 month wait for appointments currently. So, register today and your first availability is 4 months out. Not fast but new normal?
I’ve been waiting for over a year only to be notified that I that I’ve been pushed back to October. That’s a year and a half wait, hopefully there LA sheriffs dept. doesn’t push me back any further.
What about San Bernardino county?
SBC issues to all law abiding residents. The fees are reasonable. The turnaround is quick, the Sheriff and deputies are professional
Fight on to victory!
If out of states were to be reciprocated would that apply to California residents who have been turned down locally but approved as non residents elsewhere? I fulfilled all requirements for contra costa county but was turned down however I have since been issued Arizona and Utah non resident permits
I'm the first to file form BOF1031 in Riverside county challenging my denial. Riverside County Sheriff department is not 2A friendly. I'm an FFL, have an out-of-state CCW, back pass NICS check and buy firearms, I'm a range safety officer and I carried in other states for years with no issues. If you were denied before January 1 this year you can reapply and if you're denied again just file BOF1031. I can refer you to a great attorney

Thank you for the update. I started thinking if it’s taking so long is it possible to require that the state issue a temporary permit like the DMV issues a temporary license?
SF is a joke. This is why SF is a joke( only 186 issued since "Bruen"), because their requirements are similar to Alameda. Check it out:
Regarding the current application process, I find the following requirements unconstitutional:
1. Pre-interview and background investigation ( you've already gone through a background investigation to get your piece).
2. Interview with investigator ( no subjective opinions are required).
3. Psychological evaluation, lol (no subjective opinions are required).
4. Character references ( are they serious? clearly they don't understand the term conceal aka private).
5. Proof of residency ( the only thing required should be a valid CA driver's license).
Btw, Alameda is also dragging its feet and taking up to 2 years to issue. This is clearly on purpose.
I agree competely with the speaker
Orange County, CA here. Took 4 months just to process my amendment after I added a new firearm to my current CCW, after I had submitted everything required to the Sheriff’s department.
Not gonna spend a single penny for a permission slip to exercise a right. There are more people in the state california that can barely afford the living expenses or barly feed themselves or their children.
Absolutely fantastic Definitely
Also can we push Rupp and Miller to Supreme Court piggybacking off the Illinois cases?

The State should take the money that they are spending on lawyers to stop the 2nd and use it to process the applications. Even better there should be no permit required.
As of October 2023, San Diego County applications are on a 13 month backlog! 🤨
Where can we go to to help fill out the application?
Santa Clara county and San Jose, exorbitant fee and wait time, for 1 or 2 year and only 2 or 3 handguns.
This needs to stop. People are greedy.
Also FYI Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco kneeled to BLM and bowed in prostration to them to pander to them! Look it up. It happened. We don't need a sheriff or a Governor who panders to BLM!
