This is a complete playthrough of level 7 -- Dunes -- on Serious Mode difficulty, without saving or dying.
Highlights:
0:00: This first battle is a hell of a welcome.
2:36: The first major outdoor fight. Werebulls and Kleers make this a fun time.
4:05: Picking up the heart triggers Wave 2. More werebulls with lots of kamikazes and a few Major Biomechs added to the mix.
6:03: Picking up the backpack triggers Wave 3. Multiple major biomechs, more werebulls, kleers, kamikazes.
7:35: Picking up the backpack triggers Wave 4. A bunch of Reptiloids. Killing the last one triggers the Highlander.
9:04: Detouring a bit for the secret oasis. Unfortunately while fleeing the Harpies I back too close to the walls and trigger a bunch of enemies I wasn't prepared for.
11:38: Final courtyard fight, very annoying.
Notes on the video:
I originally played and recorded these demos back in 2001, just after Serious Sam: The First Encounter was released. At the time I was an active member of the Serious Zone community site for Serious Sam fans, and was inspired by Dave Parson, who had posted his own set of Serious-mode complete-level playthroughs, so I recorded this set of demos of me doing the same.
The demos were originally uploaded to (and are still hosted on) the Serious Sam community site www.seriouszone... , now mostly defunct , but I'm now uploading these to RUclips because the original demo files required 1) that you actually have the game to play them, and 2) that you have the out-of-the-box, unpatched version of the game as well. If you had upgraded to the patched version of the game, several of the demos were unplayable past a certain point, so here you can see the levels played from start to finish as I originally recorded them.
Since the game has been remade in HD, almost no one plays the original Classic version of the game anymore, but I wanted these not to be lost to time.
