  • The Forte is Kia's competition for the Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, Nissan Sentra, Toyota Corolla and Mazda 3. On the outside you will find sport inspired accents, trunk lid spoiler and LED headlights. On the inside there is a 10.25in infotainment screen and flat-bottom leather wrapped steering wheel. Under the hood is a 2.0L inline-4 paired with a CVT. Is the 2024 Kia Forte GT-Line a compact sport sedan WORTH the price?

I feel like any car with a turbo is going to be an inconvenient daily driver for a number of people, myself included - especially when we're not so much as interested in the power performance, but the MPG performance.
So, the GT Line absolutely still has a place. It's why I got one.

I bought a 2019 Forte EX "launch edition", brand new in 2019. There was no GT trim that year, kinda wish I had waited a year so I could get the 1.6 Turbo with the DCT. 5 years in, it's been an amazing car. I was skeptical about the CVT, but it's been trouble free, and truth be told, it's better than a lot of torque converted automatics at this price. Every tech feature you could EVER want, with heated AND ventilated seats?!? For 26k?!? No brainer. The only issue that I've had is the touchscreen started to bubble up on one side, and Kia fixed it under warranty, no charge. Took them 6 months to get the parts 😅but during the covid supply chain stuff, I'll forgive that.
I'd buy my Forte again, 100%. Great car for the money.

I have a Kia Forte GT-line it's a 2022 model. To me it's not comfortable at all. For what you get money wise you can't beat it. I regret not going to the GT. The GT-LINE is just severely under powered. However it's fully loaded with a moon roof and a big infotainment system and a premium Harmon Kardon sound system. Again I've had 3 back fusion surgeries and the seats kill my back. I'll be trading this in for it's sister car the Elantra Limited. Only because of the leather seats and lower lumbar support for my back.
FYI ... You showed the silver GT-LINE however the driving video was the GT model. Check the editing on this. Very good review as always. Love the channel and the fresh content! You were made to do this! Awesome personality as well.

I have a 2024 Hyundai Kona with the 2.0 NA same as your Forte, and I agree that it's severely underpowered. I test drove a 2024 Kia Forte GT earlier and it was pretty quick but I had the same problem with the seats and the bolstering digs into my back. So I decided not to get it and the salesman was flipping out on me 😂. The Forte 1.6T reminds me of my last Civic 2017 with the 1.5T but the Civic was more comfortable

The performance is definitely a surprise and the mpg's is unbeatable also.

I have a 24 Forte GT Line with premium sport package. It has a sunroof. It has automatic drivers seat adjustments, and back seat heat and air, plus usb connection in the back. The front seats are heated and cooling. It has a sport mode, which gives you more rpm when needed. It’s super fun to drive, nice steering and pretty fast with more than enough passing power. It has lane assist, hands free steering, blind spot assist, front end sensors that automatically adjust your brights and/or cruise control, auto hold on the brakes if you’re stopped in traffic, and a few other bells and whistles. Wireless phone charger. It’s a little hard to get in and out of as it’s pretty low set, and I’m getting older haha. I drove 6 hours or about 450 miles straight on a tank, and still had 70 miles of gas left when I pulled in the driveway. So far, I love it. ** He’s not driving a GT line…he got mixed up. He showed a line, but drove a regular GT. The line is quieter, has less hp, and doesn’t have paddles on the steering wheel.

Man, I just bought the 2024 Forte GT Line, like 2 weeks ago, I guess it's the same model you got, cause it's got the sunroof and all kinds of bells and whistles that I'm still learning, and I love, love this car. I noticed there are a few options that are not available on this model, like there's maybe like bird's eye view of the car when you are backing up, but this model says "not available" on right side of the infotainment. It only has 2 rear camera views. And some other minor stuff that I assume are available only on the GT model. But overall, man, this car feels and looks awesome! :)) it's actually bigger than it looks.

I've had a 2021 Elantra SEL Convenience for the past three years with lease end coming up mid-April. Overall, I love the design and many aspects of the car including getting 41-46 mpg, but because the Elantra had to have the tranny replaced at 7,500 mi (dealership had it 6 weeks), along with several recalls...one involving being unable to drive the car, I started doing some research for a different car and came across the Kia Forte LXS and GT Line. Fortunately the local Kia dealership has plenty of both, so I've spent some time driving them. The GT Line really stands out from the LXS...AND the Elantra. The GT Line is more comfortable to drive, especially the seats. It rides pretty well with a bit less cabin noise than the Elantra,. and just feels solid and nimble. I parked the GT Line beside my Elantra and the GT Line is actually a little bigger with good interior room and trunk space. I much prefer the front end design of the GT Line as opposed to the Elantra. I called my State Farm insurance agent, and interestingly, it costs less to insure the GT Line than the LXS due to the fact that the LXS uses the key to start the car, whereas the GT Line is push button-start with immobilizer. Apparently vehicles that use a key to start are easier to steal, thus the higher insurance rates. Anyway, I'm really liking the GT Line and it's looking like that could very well be my next vehicle. Same color as the one in this video.

Nah not really if you get something like this Forte. 25k for the GT and gets a 6 second 0-60 time is good value for the money. Adjusted for inflation, any car under 40k is actually a good deal and costs less than it used to. The main problem is that average salaries aren't rising at the same speed of inflation, so the average person has a more difficult time affording an averaged priced vehicle, which is currently around 50k. 50k car doesn't fit my budget either, but there are plenty of good options around 25-35k

Awesome car for the price and you could drive it and bring PB&J sandwiches and Tea from home and not buy from the Starbucks and McD's or BurgerKing while driving at 30mpg and you can go deliver DoorDash or Instacart or doing Uber runs and save some money while you are making money.

It can just barely beat our dog slow UX200, but that's an SUV. But my 2020 Civic Coupe EX (a comparable) can crush it. And they are the same price new!
And l will trust a Honda CVT.
    But a Hyundai???
    Pass.

    • @pugcore2736

Honda has been more reliable over the years but they need to take a page from kia and hyundai in terms of styling. New accord looks awful..civic is decent at best. Infotainment and safety features for what your paying for these Hondas need to be a step up as well..just my opinion.

You are wrong! Your comparison the forte gt line is not the same to forte gt 6 speed. You compared forte gt line with 147 horsepower to a Honda si with 205 horsepower. Apples and oranges. I have 2020 forte gt 6 speed with 201 horsepower. When i put in sport mode and traction off, I can beat any Honda si off the line. 0-60 6 seconds. So I have zonk you. lol 😂 but I like your reviews.
