- Join me as I do some fun fishing inside LA Harbor in pursuit of Calico, Sand, and Spotted Bay Bass. I was stopped by the LA Port Police and got some clarifying information regarding the legalities of fishing the inner harbor, not too mention I caught a few fish!

@DanielA-mp2sk my current set up is a Daiwa Catalina 7.3:1 with 15lb Izorline XXX and a Shimano Intenza 711MH-G. I also like to fish my Dobyns 804CB. Anything composite in the 8-9ft range will work. Inside the bay you could go a little shorter. I prefer a faster reel as its easier to slow down and wind a bait then it is to speed up to get it down to the proper depth. Tackle video dropping tomorrow too btw!

Was that LA harbor ?? I had a very different experience with LA police , told me I cannot fish back there at all. I checked the tariffs could not find anything on not being able to fish.
This was a few weeks ago being talked down to and told to keep my hands out of my pockets lol tried to be as nice and respectful ad possible, guess I got them on a bad day.
