The Baltimore and Washington, DC That Tourists Rarely See Episode 33 Historic London Town and Garden

A visit to London Town, named after the city in England which was originally founded in the 1600s and lasted only 100 years and is located near Annapolis, Maryland. It includes an interesting story about William Brown, who built the only original London Town building that still remains today because it was built from brick while all of the other structures were built from wood. Yet brick was very expensive material back in those days and William Brown was determined to make a big name for himself by building the biggest state of the art building of its time. He used complex lines of credit and borrowed huge amounts of money to make his dream building only to file for bankruptcy soon afterwards.
For those who are into history and archeology, London Town is the perfect day trip. For those who are more into gardening and nature London Town also has a variety of flowers, plants, bushes, and trees along with nature trails and spectacular views of the South River.
