This was so nice to see! I'm from the South, but I lived in Vermont (working in New Hampshire) for 5 years, leaving in 2017 (the year of your trip) to take a job in Europe. I've been all over the world, but New England is where my heart remains and still calls to me. I'm hoping to buy property and retire there soon. Truly one of the most charming places in America. Amtrak is an alternate way to travel through New England and America. I’d plan a trip including alnearly to Montreal on the Vermonteer, such a way that I would travel the major citiethe northeast corridor, and then back to Boston and finallly travel by way of the DownEaster.
