I think it's rather straightforward on why it should be the older/non-Norwegian pronunciation (even though the invented allegedly disagreed): gift, give, girl, etc. are all pronounced with… well… a 'G', not a 'J'. Only exceptions I can even come up with on the spot are 'gerund' and 'George/-ia'.
Your pronunciation is definitely better. Your accent is less also but it was definitely not huge before. Your voice seems deeper or richer now, but I don’t know if it’s the mic, the room, or the way you are processing sound in the edit. I bet three months in the USA and your accent would be virtually undetectable. But even your American idioms are good. It’s almost like listening to a native speaker.
not gonna laugh not gonna laugh haahaha the old sunny is wild its been along time and for me i see there have been not that much accent different only with your voice being grown up W video and why would you rather be a wizard/witch
Hahahha I cringed so hard editing this video, you have no idea 😂😂😂 I was very surprised to hear my voice sounding so different. And I would rather be a wizard because I think drinking blood and not being in the sun is not for me 😂😂
@@ihascakesI can feel how you see them cringe 😂😂 and your sound is like upgraded Mickey Mouse😂😎 and aren’t you using I guess in Norway not to see sun that much 😮
Pretty similar, but "iron" did improve. It's a weird dipthong "eye-urn", vs. "eye-run". There are also regional variants; in a strong Pittsburgh accent, it sounds like "Ahrn" (e.g., Ahrn City beer). Some of the differences are just regional: route ("root") vs. route ("rowte") are both used. (Maybe the latter pronunciation is more common when it's a verb.) "Aluminum" is American; "Aluminium" is British; so both correct depending on your audience (and mutually intelligible in any case).
I hear just a little bit difference in your accent then & Now . Sunny you look adorable then( 9 years ago)now you look lovely . Same Heavenly colored Blue eyes and great smile.🙌 Enjoy your weekend.
I don't remember that video but I remember seeing you in that shirt you were wearing in it. Please note, if I ever make it to Norway I would like to meet you.
I am a little surprised in the pronunciation of aluminum. I thought the old version was correct and the new sounds more german, but according to the translator, the new version seems to be correct.
oh from gif to gif -- ehh that doesn't track in written, lemme do that again: OMG from 'guiff' to 'jiff' !!! That'll send both ends of the spectrum raging!
Everybody has an accent, so don't feel bad about having one. Yours is an interesting mixture of American and British English. While you clearly are not a native speaker of English, your English is very, very good, and completely understandable, which is what really matters. Certainly far better than my command of any language. There is no reason to be self-conscious about it.
Crazy to remember that old video. Am I here for 9 years already?!?!
Time flies, it’s actually soooo crazy 😱
I used to watch your vids back then, nice to see similar vids of yours after many years. ❤
Really 😍 woah you’ve been here for a long time then ❤️
I love how you went from pronouncing GIF correctly 9 years ago to the wrong way now 😁😁😁
Hahahhaha 😂😂😂 I pronounce it the right way in Norwegian.. I guess I’m just confused 🤔😂
I would also pronounce GIF like 9 years ago, but Americans are also debating what would be correct 😂

GIF - Graphics Interchange Format. You wouldn't pronounce the word "graphics" as "jraphics" so the same applies to "GIF". Simple really.
Nice to see a comparison between then and now and like someone said, the haircut was good back then 😎 ... Thumbnail is also cool 👍

I think you can say both “aluminium” and “aluminum”, both are correct 😄 in Norwegian it’s aluminium 😄
The earlier version was more an American accent, your current pronunciation is British. In case you’re curious.
Sunny I have not watched your videos for years... You look 10 years older XD But so do I... but dont worry, we age like wine ;)
Hahahah yeah well, aging is a part of life I guess 😂 I wonder what I’ll look like in another 10 years 🤣

Wo sind die Deutschen Fans :)
Why in the world did you switch from the correct spelling "GIF" to "JIF" 😞?
No idea 😂 I say “gif” in Norwegian. I guess I was just a bit confused while filming the video
