@SleepLessThan3 Tien at the time was 180, and we lack any official number for Yamcha but even assuming he's just 100... That'd put that arc Tiencha at 18,000 same as Vegeta... And that's probably a low ball for 22nd Yamcha since, as Lonk pointed out in this video lower power levels aren't linear. So even if significantly weaker than Tien or Roshi like Yamcha was, their numbers would be deceptively close unless you think PL 5 Farmer, was actually 1/20th of Moon level PL 180 Roshi... Or half of Goku from start of series with his PL 10 that was building level and such.
@daymianhogue1634 the problem with AxB is that elder kai told goku that he could just go super saiyan after fusing. If 2 people with a power level of 10 fuse, then by AxB the fusion would have a power level of 100, and then would be at 5k with super saiyan. However, if each person went super saiyan first and then fused, the resulting fusion would have a power level of 250000 (500x500), which would be an extra super saiyan boost. Also by the AxB logic, fusing with someone who has a power level below 1 (if you're using something like the kili scale, basically everyone before the namek arc is below 1 since supposedly base buu saga goku > shin > frieza) would make you weaker.

We really need to stop using guides to scale characters. Just take the manga as it is and use guides when they support the manga, not contradict it, or create statements that never existed in the manga. That part where you claim that Goku meant that he was tiny and didn't know he'd grow back is directly contradicted by the next chapter where Goku tries to blow a hole on Buu's head and he's surprised that it didn't work. It took Buu telling Goku that he's the size of a flea, so his attacks aren't much. Goku never realised being small did anything. When Goku said he'll kill us if we went out like this, he meant unfused. When Vegeta broke the potara, it was Goku he chastised him for it. For goodness sake, Goku suggests fusion to deal with Buu in the next panel. You're horribly wrong on this. Edit: oh my God, there's more proof you're wrong on the dame panel you presented where Goku says that Buu is still stronger despite removing everyone from him. That "Potara is multiplied power of two warriors" doesn't make sense as well. In terms of DB power level numbers Buu Saga Goku was probably at billions, same goes for Vegeta, if we multiply billions by billions then Vegetto shouldn't even need SSJ to easily beat Buu. At least in Super they rectified this and changed that to "combined power of two warriors times ten" which makes much more sense.

I'm sorry but that Goku scaling is way out of whack. Going by canon, Dabura is as strong as Cell and he is explicitly shown to not be worried about regular SS Goku. And when they fight as SS2's, Vegeta explicitly says they're stronger than SS2 Teen Gohan in a way that suggests they're only moderately stronger.

Regardless of how strong he actually would be, Gokule would at least be stronger than Goku, despite the saiyan's worries. Potara adds the fusees together than multiplies. It just wouldn't be as *efficient* a fusion as with 'geets, rival boost aside.
This is a perfect example of Potara vs Fusion Dance. Potara is a simple Max A x Max B so if you have a 10 and a 9 and you get 10 x 9 which equals 90. Fusion Dance requires both parties to be equal so if you have a 10 and a 9, that 10 becomes a 9 and you get 9 x 9 which is only 81. Unless both fusees had exact equals power levels, because the Namek Saga has how a different of 1.2 is still significant, the Fusion Dance will always be weaker in terms of strength. Time limit is debatable but in terms of strength with the exact same fusees, Vegito should always have the slightest of edges over Gogeta, unless Goku and Vegeta somehow manage to be equal.

Would Super Saiyan Gokule give the same power boost as Super Saiyan for Vegito? Vegito is 2 Saiyans while Gokule is 1 Saiyan and 1 Human so would it be less effective? His PL is only 7 by Frieza force units. Who says Potora uses those units? By babidis Kili units Hercule would likely be a decimal number. There's no proof that Potora is using Frieza force units. Assigning a number is pure fanfic
Vados even states that keflas fusion only made them "tens of times stronger" so Frieza force units probably weren't being used since their number would have been higher. Since we can't determine the units, we can't say how strong the multiplier would be
The whole "A times B" thing is so stupid, power levels are arbitrary even in universe. They aren't some actual universal way of measurement, someone just decided to say that "Yeah this amount of power is what we'll call a 1" and went from there. There are even alternative ways of measuring power, Kili is what demons use instead of Power Levels where 1 Kili is about 50,000 Power Levels. If fusion is really A x B then what method of measurement is it using? Both Power Levels and Kili are arbitrary, so there's no reason for it to work based on those, and depending on how much energy you consider "1 unit" drastically changes how powerful an A x B multiplier would be. In DBS we get a much more reasonable multiplier for Fusion, being "A + B Multiplied tens of times over". That actually does work and doesn't rely on arbitrary measurement systems.
Yeah, you can say bad things about DBS but this Potara multiplier makes much more sense. Just combined power of two warriors multiplied by sane number, not bilions times bilions.

Stopped watching as soon as he said Goku SSJ3 was stronger than Ultimate Gohan in the Buu Saga. He shows some really shaky databook entries but disregards actual manga scans with their hunch that it's because he thinks they wouldn't grow back to full size. But on the exact manga panel after the one shown in the video Goku complains to Vegeta about breaking the Potara and tries to convince him to try to do the Fusion dance. With that context, what are they most likely referring to? Their size or their lack of a fusion that is the focal point of their conversation? Seriously, who else actually thinks SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Ultimate Gohan in the Manga in 2024?
To be fair to Hercule he uses normal fighting techniques with normal martial arts. They actually do work as long as your enemy's muscles aren't amped up by ki and they are blasting cities apart. Might actually give Gokule a unique advantage since no other person uses real martial arts moves like wrestling grapples and textbook accurate form for kicks and punches.
The only Buu that likes Hercule is Majin Buu. Super Buu, Buutenks, Buuhan and Kid Buu don't give a crap about Hercule. The Human Extiction Attack and Kid Buu missing punches only happened because Majin Buu was still inside all the other Buu's. It's this reason of being held back why Kid Buu ends up spitting Majin Buu out. I know it wasn't you specifically saying that and you were quoting others, but it is fair to point out the Buu's actually don't like Hercule, only Majin Buu does.
You really shouldn't trust the guidebooks on og dragonball matters, and also potara being a multiplication of powers is logically inconsistent because it relies on a base unit which trivialises the entire narrative even in the case of kais fusing and just gets worse in the future.
That all depends on if Gocule could go super saiyan which I would bet he could not do. Keep in mind Gokule is not just some Goku power up he’s a mix of the two people. Even if he could pull off SS1 there’s no way he’s getting to SS2 or SS3. That means fusing with Hercule would be a terrible idea

I made another comment about it, but Ranfan and Nam from the 21st TB have officially recorded power levels of 80 and 100 respectively with no Ki control, whereas Tien from the 22nd had a recorded level of 180... so I'd fathom Hercule _(being a peak human who could pull four buses and bust walls with his fist)_ should be between those levels. And in fact, the Punching Machine at the 25th TB recorded his maximum strength at "137", which falls neatly within those values. _...god, could you imagine how strong Hercule could become if he actually bothered to learn Ki control instead of chalking it up as tricks and gimmicks?_

Woah woah woah. Gokus base in the Boo arc surpasses his SSJ form in the Cell Games? No, just no. Both the manga AND anime have Goku only surpassing Cell Games Gohan when he turned SSJ2 and even then Piccolo, in both continuities wonders if Majin Vegeta is even above Cell Games Gohan. That means SSJ2 Boo arc Goku was BARELY above Cell Games Gohan. If you think that SSJ2 Cell Games Gohan was almost 100x stronger than SPC, which he would need to be for this scaling to work, i've got a bridge to sell you. Even the anime ignored the god awful scaling from the otherworld tournament filler. Kaioshin was shocked at the Saiyans strength because of 1. the reputation of Babadi gathering the strongest in the universe (he even mentions this) and 2. the fact he had Dabura on his side. He didn't even know Pui Pui/Pocus in the manga so base Vegeta one shotting who he thought was one of the strongest beings alive AND had an amp means his shocked reaction was valid. He even says later he miscalculated everything. This was AFTER seeing SSJ2 Gohan so he clearly wasn't gauging Babadis peoples power and just going by what he knew. Goku in SSJ2 was barely stronger than Cell Games Gohan and Kaioshin was 100% above any base Saiyan at that point. Also, those guides (none of which were given any names) directly contradict the mamga itself. Vegeta wasn't the second strongest being in the universe and Goku wasn't the first. Boohan was and if we're getting technical, Gohan was AT LEAST stronger than Vegeta. Also, Vegeta never had the opportunity to get stronger. I think a better question not a lot of people ask is how willing would Buu have been to fight a fused Goku/Mr.Satan? It isn't the power level with that fusion that's important, it's the circumstances. Buu had no reason to hold back against a fused Goku/Vegeta... If 2 people with a power level of 10 fuse, then by AxB the fusion would have a power level of 100, and then would be at 5k with super saiyan. However, if each person went super saiyan first and then fused, the resulting fusion would have a power level of 250000 (500x500), which would be an extra super saiyan boost. Also by the AxB logic, fusing with someone who has a power level below 1 (if you're using something like the kili scale, basically everyone before the namek arc is below 1 since supposedly base buu saga goku > shin > frieza) would make you weaker.

We really need to stop using guides to scale characters. Just take the manga as it is and use guides when they support the manga, not contradict it, or create statements that never existed in the manga. That part where you claim that Goku meant that he was tiny and didn't know he'd grow back is directly contradicted by the next chapter where Goku tries to blow a hole on Buu's head and he's surprised that it didn't work. It took Buu telling Goku that he's the size of a flea, so his attacks aren't much. Goku never realised being small did anything. When Goku said he'll kill us if we went out like this, he meant unfused. When Vegeta broke the potara, it was Goku he chastised him for it. For goodness sake, Goku suggests fusion to deal with Buu in the next panel. You're horribly wrong on this.

That "Potara is multiplied power of two warriors" doesn't make sense as well. In terms of DB power level numbers Buu Saga Goku was probably at billions, same goes for Vegeta, if we multiply billions by billions then Vegetto shouldn't even need SSJ to easily beat Buu. At least in Super they rectified this and changed that to "combined power of two warriors times ten" which makes much more sense.

I'm sorry but that Goku scaling is way out of whack. Going by canon, Dabura is as strong as Cell and he is explicitly shown to not be worried about regular SS Goku. And when they fight as SS2's, Vegeta explicitly says they're stronger than SS2 Teen Gohan in a way that suggests they're only moderately stronger.
Dabura is stronger than Cell and Cell doesnt scale to Gohan's true power, there is no contradiction.

Regardless of how strong he actually would be, Gokule would at least be stronger than Goku, despite the saiyan's worries. Potara adds the fusees together than multiplies. It just wouldn't be as *efficient* a fusion as with 'geets, rival boost aside.
This is a perfect example of Potara vs Fusion Dance.
Potara is a simple Max A x Max B so if you have a 10 and a 9 and you get 10 x 9 which equals 90.
Fusion Dance requires both parties to be equal so if you have a 10 and a 9, that 10 becomes a 9 and you get 9 x 9 which is only 81.
Unless both fusees had exact equals power levels, because the Namek Saga has how a different of 1.2 is still significant, the Fusion Dance will always be weaker in terms of strength.
Time limit is debatable but in terms of strength with the exact same fusees, Vegito should always have the slightest of edges over Gogeta, unless Goku and Vegeta somehow manage to be equal.

Vados even states that keflas fusion only made them "tens of times stronger" so Frieza force units probably weren't being used since their number would have been higher. Since we can't determine the units, we can't say how strong the multiplier would be

The whole "A times B" thing is so stupid, power levels are arbitrary even in universe. They aren't some actual universal way of measurement, someone just decided to say that "Yeah this amount of power is what we'll call a 1" and went from there. There are even alternative ways of measuring power, Kili is what demons use instead of Power Levels where 1 Kili is about 50,000 Power Levels. If fusion is really A x B then what method of measurement is it using? Both Power Levels and Kili are arbitrary, so there's no reason for it to work based on those, and depending on how much energy you consider "1 unit" drastically changes how powerful an A x B multiplier would be.
In DBS we get a much more reasonable multiplier for Fusion, being "A + B Multiplied tens of times over". That actually does work and doesn't rely on arbitrary measurement systems.
Yeah, you can say bad things about DBS but this Potara multiplier makes much more sense. Just combined power of two warriors multiplied by sane number, not bilions times bilions.
The power level multiplication thing makes no sense. That means that if Goku and Vegeta both had a power level of 1 mil and fused with potara, Vegito would be 1 million times stronger than either Goku or Vegeta alone. There is no way it is that much of a multiplier lol

Stopped watching as soon as he said Goku SSJ3 was stronger than Ultimate Gohan in the Buu Saga. He shows some really shaky databook entries but disregards actual manga scans with their hunch that it's because he thinks they wouldn't grow back to full size. But on the exact manga panel after the one shown in the video Goku complains to Vegeta about breaking the Potara and tries to convince him to try to do the Fusion dance.
With that context, what are they most likely referring to? Their size or their lack of a fusion that is the focal point of their conversation?

To be fair to Hercule he uses normal fighting techniques with normal martial arts.
They actually do work as long as your enemy's muscles aren't amped up by ki and they are blasting cities apart.
Might actually give Gokule a unique advantage since no other person uses real martial arts moves like wrestling grapples and textbook accurate form for kicks and punches.
The only Buu that likes Hercule is Majin Buu. Super Buu, Buutenks, Buuhan and Kid Buu don't give a crap about Hercule. The Human Extiction Attack and Kid Buu missing punches only happened because Majin Buu was still inside all the other Buu's. It's this reason of being held back why Kid Buu ends up spitting Majin Buu out.

You really shouldn't trust the guidebooks on og dragonball matters, and also potara being a multiplication of powers is logically inconsistent because it relies on a base unit which trivialises the entire narrative even in the case of kais fusing and just gets worse in the future.
That all depends on if Gocule could go super saiyan which I would bet he could not do. Keep in mind Gokule is not just some Goku power up he’s a mix of the two people. Even if he could pull off SS1 there’s no way he’s getting to SS2 or SS3. That means fusing with Hercule would be a terrible idea

And in fact, the Punching Machine at the 25th TB recorded his maximum strength at "137", which falls neatly within those values.

Woah woah woah. Gokus base in the Boo arc surpasses his SSJ form in the Cell Games? No, just no. Both the manga AND anime have Goku only surpassing Cell Games Gohan when he turned SSJ2 and even then Piccolo, in both continuities wonders if Majin Vegeta is even above Cell Games Gohan. That means SSJ2 Boo arc Goku was BARELY above Cell Games Gohan. If you think that SSJ2 Cell Games Gohan was almost 100x stronger than SPC, which he would need to be for this scaling to work, i've got a bridge to sell you. Even the anime ignored the god awful scaling from the otherworld tournament filler.
Kaioshin was shocked at the Saiyans strength because of 1. the reputation of Babadi gathering the strongest in the universe (he even mentions this) and 2. the fact he had Dabura on his side. He didn't even know Pui Pui/Pocus in the manga so base Vegeta one shotting who he thought was one of the strongest beings alive AND had an amp means his shocked reaction was valid. He even says later he miscalculated everything. This was AFTER seeing SSJ2 Gohan so he clearly wasn't gauging Babadis peoples power and just going by what he knew. Goku in SSJ2 was barely stronger than Cell Games Gohan and Kaioshin was 100% above any base Saiyan at that point.
Also, those guides (none of which were given any names) directly contradict the mamga itself. Vegeta wasn't the second strongest being in the universe and Goku wasn't the first. Boohan was and if we're getting technical, Gohan was AT LEAST stronger than Vegeta. Also, Vegeta never had the opportunity to get stronger. He was sat in OW watching Goku and co and then was brought back to life on the Kaioshin planet. A guide can't just write a statement that contradicts the manga and it be fact. Even the Daizenshuu that everyone holds to such high regard get's things wrong. It had Nappa at 4k which directly contradicts the manga. Guides are just that, guides. If they contradict something in the source then that statement is void. Simple. And what the heck is this "post fusion multiplier" fan made term to fit an increase that doesn't exist in canon?

I think a better question not a lot of people ask is how willing would Buu have been to fight a fused Goku/Mr.Satan? Even Kid Buu had the teeniest, tiniest reservations about hurting Hercule, the guy who literally became his only real friend. It isn't the power level with that fusion that's important, it's the circumstances. Buu had no reason to hold back against a fused Goku/Vegeta... But there'd always be a tiny part of him hamstringing his performance, deep inside, if it meant he might actually hurt the only guy who wasn't a dick to him.
