It really depends. I think both of them are great especially the 50mm because it appears to be a much better deal than Leica 50APO based on online information and other fellow youtuber’s comparison. I am more a 50mm person so I prefer 50mm more, but size wise I like 35mm more.
@@Tahusaco I watched a few other videos and if your looking strictly at the 35mm version compared to other 35mm offerings it seems this lens wins overall and while leica has a 35mm APO is is incredibly expensive and not for the faint of heart, of course everyone has different styles of shooting and subject matter so as you stated the 50mm might be one's preference, from a quality perspective you don't lose either way.
Good morning. And I hesitate! I have the Ultron II that I use with my Leica SL2S, what I blame it for is its size compared to the SL2S body, I find from this point of view, a better balance with the APO Lanthar 35mm . And a priori with the new sensors of the M11, the definition of the APO Lanthar is perfectly adapted.
Thanks for the video. On the look for a new 35mm from Voightlander and this was useful. Trying to decide between Nokton 1.4 II, Ultron 35mm II and APO. Only draw back on APO is size. Have you tested on a film camera? How about the balance?
Hey Marcelo, I have tested Ultron 35mm II and APO on both digital and film. At last I kept the Ultron 35 because of the size and great performance. If you like clean and sharp images definitely go for APO. If you just want something similar to the Summicron 35/2 ASPH go for the Ultron. Size of the APO is bigger than other 35mm from voigtlander but it isn't heavy surprsingly.
They are almost identical. 50 APO has more 3D pop because of its 50mm perspective which gives you a better compression than 35mm. I will try to post some more 50mm shots next week in my website.
Sorry, couldn’t understand much. I did not buy the APO, because it is too heavy and big. Especially with a hood, it disturbs the view. The advantage of range finders is that you can see in all directions beyond the frame lines.
Thanks for pointing that out. Actually I faced the same question before getting a APO lens. After all, I stick to my normal 35mm and 50mm lens. But good to know how they perform versus non-APO lenses. And I agree that bigger lenses will be a disadvantage to block VF.
Nice review but suggest you reduce the music volume - I can hardly hear you.
Thanks for your feedback!
Super smooth delivery
Wondering if you had to pick either the 50 or 35mm lens which would you choose?

@@Tahusaco Thanks for the feedback. Definetly helpful. Will get Ultron and probably later for the APO.

Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoying your channel, and feel like I'm seeing new aspects to HK despite having watched the many reviews there for years :)
Glad you enjoy it!
cool music
I have a hearing impairment and the music overwhelms your voice. I would have liked to learn more about the lens but had to stop watching.
I will make sure upcoming videos will try to avoid this problem so that you can enjoy it better!
@@Tahusaco you don’t need the music at all. It distracts from your content and I can’t hear anything you said.

Very annoying with the music, too difficult to hear what you say !
Thanks for your feedback, I will look into that in my next video! 🙏🏻
@@Tahusaco Thank you very much
This whole vid is very sensual.
Thanks Robert!
There's a bit of an ASMR vibe going on! 😅
