    Perfect new concept. I enjoy this new format. Should do some more of these.
    The other Gods are due: Dragon Ma & Fzd.
    My whish would be Truls tough, cause he plays a little different, almost funny style. Aruna also nice cause different.
    Other also interesting Timo, Freitas, Calderano, Jike, Lebrun and Pitchford or the Xuper.

      I've actually done one with Aruna already, it's in the same playlist I put this video in! I will probably do more in the future, but I have to be careful picking matches. I can't do anything uploaded by wtt / ittf due to copyright strikes and had to get permission beforehand to use this match

      And fwiw if you have a specific match in mind there's a channel in my discord server where you can submit them and that's where I choose which ones to review.

    Instantly subscribed, this is an amazing video! You are extremely knowledgeable on tactics and technique, this is a golden video that deserves much more attention. Please make more of these whenever you find the time. I would really love to see a match where harimoto is able beat a left handed player, preferably backhand oriented like lin gaoyuan since that is the most common lefty style I seem to encounter (by necessity a lefty needs to have at the very least a very stable backhand block, which I notice is absent in many right handers games as FH dominant players are usually the norm for righties). I'm sure the tactics would be fairly similar but the down the line backhand and bh to bh rallies are just most harder to initiate against lefties since I requires the higher risk down the line bh open up and playing FH cross course will often give them an easy counter loop with the bh. For me I end up feeling like I have to just boomba it into their bh since lefties really like to give very easy long pushes to my FH, but at a certain point this tactic doesn't work once the opponents touch is good enough to prevent the initial third or fourth ball open up boomba. It's unnecessary risk in my opinion even if it's the right shot, I run out of stamina as well and start losing footwork and initiative to take the first attack as the match progresses. Basically I need some strategies to be able to initiate these 50/50 rallies and be able to dominate them similar to harimoto (I have really based my game a lot based off harimotos form and strategy if you can't tell)

      Glad you enjoyed!! I do have one other pro analysis already done (just look up Aruna pro analysis and you should find it). And yes will plan on doing some more in the future. The way I have it set up there's a channel in my discord server where you can submit whatever match you want for an analysis. So if there's a specific one you have in mind just join the discord and send it there and assuming it fits all the rules I will try to get to it whenever I can!

      @@Looeelooee There is another interesting video which may qualify for your analysis. Also on TT11TV. Harimoto vs Matsushima in the All Japan championship. Harimoto lost this but made a major change in serving tactics which was initially very successful.

    Great content, and really good analysis. i am tactically challenged tt player . I have seen the game at least 4 times, before watching this
    , and did not knew the tactics. But the reason Harimoto could not return the serves of the Chinese guy, is because shidong is hiding his serves. i wish you would have addressed that.

    • @Looeelooee
      @Looeelooee  4 дня назад

      Ty I appreciate it!! And yes lin shidong's serves are definitely hidden at times I should have pointed it out. Although harimoto still did an excellent job and also unfortunately serves are almost never strictly enforced

    I remember hearing fang bo say just based on training he doesnt do as much as the Chinese but he is such a threat because of how good his serves and his BH are.
    Im not entirely sure its true, he seems to train like a man possessed but his serves are definitely amazing

    • @Looeelooee
      @Looeelooee  4 дня назад +1

      Whatever the case his serves and his game as a whole are definitely insanely good. And he's able to mitigate his natural weaknesses and play to his strengths perfectly

      He plays to his strengths better than all European male players... This is the most amazing aspect at every Japanese player I've seen.

    Awesome video, annoyingly as a lefty a lot of these BH-BH rally tactics aren't that useful to me, so it seems to be more about third and fifth ball. Would love if your next match analysis could be with a left hander, like Lin Yun Ru, Sora or Wang chuqin. Sora just had a very recent great match against harimoto for all Japan

  • @georgettfrenzy4180
    @georgettfrenzy4180 День назад

    Good job but you dont need to overcomplicate things with new useless terms, split step is just an adjustment step in order to adjust to the incoming ball. Also not every ball has a deeper meaning to it, some balls are just to preserve the pressure because none of the players are in a comfortable position to end the point or put even more pressure

    • @Looeelooee
      @Looeelooee  День назад

      @@georgettfrenzy4180 I appreciate it! Although fwiw it's not a new term, and I think it's not a useless term either, and instead this may be more of a geographical / regional linguistic difference as it is a common term here and it is something my students have specially asked about.
      And while I agree not every point is extremely deep, some are, and there's definitely a lot more to it than what meets the untrained eye, especially in regard to Harimoto's very precise and deliberate shot selection, placement, and tactics (as will as Lin Shidong's), as well as his insanely good ability to quickly recognize patterns.
