Tim wrote another song that highlights Rob's whistling skills. The song was written somewhat mocking country songs. It is titled "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. It also includes a photo bomb by Avi. It is hilarious.
Rob is a whistling virtuoso! There are a few songs Home Free has done that you will hear him whistling. He also brought his whistling to 7th Avenue's rendition of "Rockin Robin" (7th Avenue is a group started by Chris Rupp and his sister. Yes, Chris and Adam have a sister who also sings. Very talented family) Rob also joined Voiceplay in a movie theme medley and brought the whistling out then as well!
Rob: A voice like melting butter, opera tenor, and such a rich whistle. Talented man. More whistling? "Champagne Taste (on a beer budget)". You want Christmas? "Do You Hear What I Hear?". "Mary, Did You Know."
Rob actually whistles in quite a few of their songs. This is like the sequel to Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. Austin is the youngest in the group, he was 28 years old. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Every year I come back to this Home Free classic . If you can't smile, no matter how ya feel after watching this, then you are just depressed beyond fixing
Hahaha love this song. You expect it to be sad with the beginning lyrics and then bam! Rob’s a great whistler. He’s whistled in other songs although I can’t think of the titles right now. (I think one is On the Road Again). Tim wrote this one after he wrote Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. Too funny. Yep, they’re nuts and I love them. Good reaction!😅
So much fun watching the guys being goofy. Tim wrote this song. If you would like...Cold Hard Cash... by Austin is another fun one...Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer... fun and goofy. Just a thought.
Would love your reaction to Warmest Winter, written by Austin about his grandmother. Just a beautiful emotional song. Also I think you would love their version of "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "O Holy Night". I enjpyed your reaction to this song very much, so much fun !!
Even though the "harsh" emotional transition at the song's beginning is not exactly subtle, it does catch one by surprise--and not all reactors seem to fully grasp (or enjoy!) the wicked hilarity of it. In your case, your facial response to that little whiplash was (as they say), worth a thousand words.
i saw them last week again for their Christmas show in Branson and they were amazing as usual. they didnt sing this song but sang many others. they performed Go Tell It On The Mountain with Texas Hill. you should really check it out
Another demonstration of Home Free's exceptional vocal talents--and humor! Always love to see people's faces when they hear the gorgeous beginning of the song and they realize it doesn't jive with the title...🎄⛄🔔 The guys all have goofy sides and are not afraid to share them--one of the things that make them so relatable as people ❣️🎼🥰🎶♥️ And if you think of this a sequel to "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" it seems funnier yet! Tim is a terrific songwriter!! ("Quarantine" is another great song for hearing Rob whistle (as is "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget"))
I have tickets to see Home Free in Concert next week. Unfortunately, it looks as though I'll miss the show. My wife and I are battling Covid, ugh!! You're right, btw. These guys always make music fun.
Love your reaction. Many people react the same way at first. Confused by the sad opening, Ha! Home Free's sense of humor. The song makes more sense when you realize Tim wrote this as a squeal to Champaign Taste On A Beer Budget.
This is the unofficial sequel to Tim's song "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" which you should check out after the holidays. Also, Chris put out a reaction/BTS video for this on his channel recently. Keep on keepin' on fellow Texan!
Rob is a great whistler. Tim says that he tries to get a whistle solo in the songs he writes. Austin is also a great whistler, but he says that while he can whistle higher than Rob, Rob has a much better vibrato.
For more irreverent holiday fun listen to cold hard cash by Home Free! And yes listen to Tim’s other original champagne taste on a beer budget we’re good here Rob whistling again! Merry Christmas🎄
Danielle, was great to see your reaction (and the shout out) hopefully you're going to look at the other song I suggested, it really is quite good, it's on my xmas playlist and for good reason. As far as doing Champagne taste? I mean, obviously yes, but no rush on it. #subscriptionsquad
I love going back to these older songs and see how far they've come. I think they're arrangements have gotten more sophisticated since then and the sound certainly more full with the addition of Adam Chance.
Rob whistles a lot. React to their song Quarantine for an extended time of whistling! It was the first song they put together from their separate homes in 2020. It takes at least twice to catch all the funny things with their actions and the subtitles for that song. Especially watch the top row when you hear a COUGH! 👗👗👠👠💓💓
Good to see you back and busy, Danielle. (My daughter's name also.) Congratulationsto you and Mike on your news. So cool. Oh yes. Thanks for the reaction.
as me ntioned "cash for Christmas is a must. But also "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" They took one of my least favorite Christmas songs to one of my favorites.
Didn't Rob whistle in "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget," which incidentally is the prelude story to this saga of heartbreak? But I think he also whistles in "The Butt Medley," doesn't he?
If you are still looking for Christmas songs to fill your calendar with, I would love to recommend a friend of mine who is a contemporary Christian soloist going back to the early 80's and retiring this year, and that is Scott Wesley Brown and the song is "This Little Child." ruclips.net/video/NQgW9MBeAPc/видео.html

I believe Rob was doing some whistling in "On the road Again", one of their covid videos.
He whistled in the Butts Remix as well.
Avi actually shows up 3 times in the video lol
He also whistled brilliantly in Quarantine (to the tune of Honesty by Billy Joel).
"somewhat mocking"? We know he was out and out trying to write the cheesiest one possible. 🤪
Rob also whistles in Quarantine
Warmest Winter will bring a tear, guaranteed!
Tim's onesy is the best!!
There is a live version of home free doing rock'n Robin Where Rob has a Whistling solo .
Rob is a whistling virtuoso! There are a few songs Home Free has done that you will hear him whistling. still think " OH Holy Night" is a must if you can find the time, Snow Globe is a great song they wrote also .

Peace, Love!!
Every year I come back to this Home Free classic . If you can't smile, no matter how ya feel after watching this, then you are just depressed beyond fixing
Rob does the whistling in the Champaigne taste (on a beer budget) and the Butts Remix videos. Awesome, every time.
Also On The Road Again and Friends In Low Places and
Thank you, Marlene. I couldn't think of the other ones. *2 Thumbs Up*
@@donnilloyd1355 I think their is another one but can’t think of it now
Rob’s whistling is out of this world!
Rob ias a whistle master
This is a follow up to Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, where Tim's video wife spends more than he makes.
Hahaha love this song. You expect it to be sad with the beginning lyrics and then bam! Rob’s a great whistler. He’s whistled in other songs although I can’t think of the titles right now. Cold Hard Cash may be my favorite Home Free Christmas songs.
@@TikibarTech 100%. And it is a tragedy that it isnt played on radio. I think we need more comedy christmas songs.

Their video from last year, "What Christmas Means to Me" is awesome as well, and hilarious as well.
I love Home Free!
This one is a followup to Champagne Taste On a Beer Budget, both written by Tim. Austin wrote Cold Hard Cash, another Christmas song.
Love watching Austin murder the snow globe! 🤣
and then Tim said..."maybe we should settle down". And a song was born
i saw them last week again for their Christmas show in Branson and they were amazing as usual. they didnt sing this song but sang many others. they performed Go Tell It On The Mountain with Texas Hill. you should really check it out
Butt's medley used robs whistle. There's an older piece of him do stuff too.

Rob's the whistler of the group, if you hear whistling in a song, it's Rob. He's amazing at it!
Ah, Tims tender christmas original.
This was the sequel to the song Champagne Taste (on a beer budget). Rob wristles on that as well
Rob is a great whistler. Tim says that he tries to get a whistle solo in the songs he writes. Austin is also a great whistler, but he says that while he can whistle higher than Rob, Rob has a much better vibrato.

Tim bought that sweater for Chris 😂
Rob helped Chris Rupp out on a version of Rockin "Rob" in...
Great fun song 😊
I absolutely love Home Free and I love that you explain exactly why I love them. Thank you.

Often I heeard you talking about Austin and Rob's voices, were you aware they sang an Opera song?
I love going back to these older songs and see how far they've come. I think they're arrangements have gotten more sophisticated since then and the sound certainly more full with the addition of Adam Chance.
I would love an album of Rob whistling too.
I think that Austin grew the beard so he would not be the "baby face" of the group.
One of their most cheeky songs. Love it in a weird way.

Now catch another Tim song SNOW GLOBE. It is so sweet and full of surprising sounds/ vocals.
They are doing a Christmas livestream from the Ryman on December 23, 2022. It's going to be amazing. I watched there last one.
Happy day13 coach! Please do a reaction on TNT Boys"s rendition of Silent Night. Thanks coach! ❤️🙏

oh and Tim has worn those jammies on stage before, seriously
In addition to the songs others have mentioned, check out Quarantine for more of Rob's whistling skills!
Home Free Rob's whistling: Champagne Taste (on a Beer Budget) and The Butts Remix.
Butts remix with Rob whistling. 2nd is Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget
Even though I watched this last year and late on this comment Rob did excellent whistling in 7th Ave's Rockin Robin with Chris and Tristin Rupp.
Small Town Titans- You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch. I saw the Voiceplay one...this one's hits different! #subscriptionsquad
Ringmasters The Hunchback of Notre Dame.....it won't disappoint!
I generally can't stand whistling…but Rob is sooo good at it that I actually like his whistling.
I thought you’d reacted to the Butte Remix already. Rob whistles quite a bit in that one, too.
Check out "Mary did you know" ......unbelievable!!
Did you catch they are the advent calendar
Chris Rupp said he found that wig in the studio and decided to wear for the video!
Rob is the greatest whistler of all time lol
as me ntioned "cash for Christmas is a must. But also "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" They took one of my least favorite Christmas songs to one of my favorites.
