    This video shows the build of a stunning Colnago super piu vintage road bike. The bicycle arrived with no wheels or saddle, however we had a great start with a complete Campagnolo groupset and a Colnago engraved handlebar stem and handlebars.
    Watch the bicycle stripped, cleaned, polished and built back up like a new bike before being taken out back on the open road to test ride. This Colnago super really came out well and was an absolute flying machine to ride. The video also covers briefly, the history of the Colnago bicycle company and mentions the last Colnago build we did which was the Colnago Master Piu.
    Giving these vintage bicycles new life is such a positive thing to do. I would highly recommend it to anybody thinking about it. I do hope these video's help you in your own projects, and inspire you to recycle that old bicycle.

    Always loved and lusted over Colnago’s…had to settle for racing a Zullo with Zeus components…beggars can’t be choosers as they say. Anyway I wish3e I still had that Zullo now she would be a nice addition to the collection. Another lovely restoration but a Colnago deserves a higher Campagnolo or Dura Ace groupset (I know sacrilege..but I love the early Dura Ace…so much better than Campy in use). However I understand it’s not your ride. Keep up the great work. Cheers from 🇨🇦

    Great job. That's what I like about You, my friend. You are not restoring them and then keeping in some sterile place - like some kind of artefact. You take them back on the road and that's the place where this beauties should be. That's what these bicycles were made for - to ride.

      They were never the old bikes. Its the globlist scum who decided to transfer all the skill of the master builders to sweat shops in Taiwan. They destroyed the shape of racing bikes and the style. Why? Because the general public said yes to them, they said give us a cheap bargain, carbon piece of shit. Doesnt matter if it looks like a mountain bike with dropped bars, we dont care. The hell we live in is the hell we create.

    You always have fantastic builds. I have a question though, why are the bars always so low for your setups on classic road bikes? You don't find yourself ever losing out on a lot of positions in the hooks and drops that old school, full drops offer?

    • @BikeItUK
      @BikeItUK  2 года назад +1

      The lower bars were just on older race bikes to tuck you into a more aerodynamic position. Unlike a more touring position which is a more comfortable position 👍 Thanks for watching and your support much appreciated

      @danielhall3895 2 года назад

      @@BikeItUKThanks so much for the reply! I tried almost slaming my quil stems, but I found that backing off the drop from the saddle just a little bit allowed me to maintain an aero position for the majority of my ride, and I could stay in the hooks forever with a nice parallel bend of the arms. I discovered for me at least. low and stretched out really worked for aggressive racing positions versus low and down. Thanks for making these fantastic videos with all the bikes of my dreams!

      Glad you like it thanks, the saddle yes I forgot to mention. Ive got about five restorations on the go at the moment and getting older completly forgot I didn't mention it earlier. The wheelset well that was a struggle massive I had 8 speed Campagnolo wheels knocking around, however massive change from 8 to 9. The hubs are completely different, I ended up with a set of Rigida Ultimate rims with Miche hubs. They run great and still have the look of the older Campagnolo hubs. It costs 1,250 euro and the sizes are plentiful. I cant make up my mind wheather to take a 52cm or 53cm. Its been so long since i rode an old school bike. I am nearly 5 foot 7 inches. I am currently riding a size 52cm racing bike and it has a very slight slope in the top tube which i hate but begger's cant be choosers. Dont know who the Guerciotti distributors are in the UK.
