Good times with good people. The folks in Mt. Airy do a great job honoring The Andy Griffith show, and keeping the spirit of Mayberry alive. This old world needs a little more Mayberry these days.💓 Thanks for sharing your videos, most appreciated.
This was so and SOULLL good. 64 years later and still the Greatest Show Ever. Mayberry Days is Medicine to the Soul look forward too it every Year and so glad you all Captured it in all its Greatness. The tribute Artists are Phenomenal and spot on and By the time you leave you'll be calling Mount Airy Home. Great Video and Long Live The Andy Griffith Show
This was totally fun. So glad you took us along. Love love love the Andy Griffith show. I still watch it a lot on my dvd set. 😊 Thank you Derrick and Shawnasi. God bless. Watching from NE Indiana.
Prayers for those impacted by hurricane Helene . Great video. Glad yall got to interact with the cast impersonators. Can't wait till we watch part 2 tonight.
So glad that the weather cleared up, and then you had a beautiful afternoon to enjoy this! My mom was from the Mt. Holly area of NC, so I have a spot in my heart for North Carolina. ❤
Yes, early Friday was rough, but it moved out by that afternoon. Thanks for sharing about your mom being from here. And we appreciate you watching, and your comment.
Finally back to civilization after 6 days of no power. Catching up with you guys. This is such a cute festival! I always wanted a Pa like Andy as a child. My stepfather came along when I was 11 ish and was and is a remarkable man whom gave me his last name when my mom and he got married. But nobody was quite like Andy.
Yes, I wish today's world really was like it was in Mayberry. That's one of the reasons this festival attracts so many people, is because they long for that kind of life. We're so glad that you finally got your power back on, and things are looking up.
Hello from Ringgold, Ga. I'm sorry that I have not commented in a while but my house burned to the ground a little over a month ago and I lost everything except my wife and dog, which is all that matters to me anyway. Been dealing with insurance, contractors and a lot of red tape since then but everything is working out now. I have still been watching your videos as much as I could during this time and will always support your channel any way I can. Bless both of you for doing this for us and I look forward to tagging along with you on your travels You have the best channel on RUclips.
@@PhillipWebb-u1n Wow, thank you so much for those kind words. We had no idea of everything you've been through in the last month, and I know that must be a very difficult time. But thank God that your wife and your dog were okay. Like you said, everything else can be replaced. We honestly appreciate everything you've done, but we do not want you to feel like you need to give us a super chat at this time. I can only imagine that you're trying to replace everything that you've got. You are in our prayers. And we appreciate your kind words, as always.
Well, it's plain to see that I don't belong in an Andy Griffith Show trivia contest. Those were tough questions. I have actually met one of the people who spoke in the opening ceremony. Bob Denver was one of my patients when he was in CCU at Baptist hospital in Winston Salem. I talked to Dreama on numerous occasions. She was always very sweet.
@keitheverhart9556 That's very interesting. You actually got to meet Bob Denver when he was in the hospital. I knew he had been in the hospital in Winston-Salem, but that's awesome that you got to meet him. I would love to have met him myself. I grew up watching him on Gilligan's Island. Yes, those trivia questions are very, very difficult.
@kylifekylife3195 No, but we have before. We have a video from there, back in 2021. Look up our video entitled "Day in Mayberry and Pilot Mountain State Park". We didn't stay there during Mayberry Days, because it's always the first motel to book up for that Festival.
@pampeirce1322 I would have to go back and watch it, but I think that's probably what they were trying to replicate with this one. That's what we thought of, too.
@dmtno7 I had to edit out or shorten a lot of things, to keep the video reasonably short. It would have been over 2 hours, otherwise. I believe I kept Ronnie Schell in Part 2. Did you watch the part from 30:00 to 34:46, in Part 2? But I had to narrow it all down and decide what were the funniest and most entertaining parts.
@TeachingHisWord I made that comment during the trivia contest in last year's video. But I made it in a general sense, about most people. I do not have any idea of the Bible knowledge of the individual participants in the trivia. But yes, people certainly need to know their Bible more than trivia.

We certainly do need more Mayberry in these times.

I like the way you worded that, and I agree with everything you said. Couldn't have said it better!

@cathymcgee1674 Yes, we love the show, because it taught good morals. That is probably why it remains so popular today.
Thanks for watching!

Love your shirts. Great episode too👍
@cathybriggs5846 Thank you! You're the first person to even notice.
We love that episode, and had those shirts especially made for this weekend.
Thanks!

Great videos !! We are going to be going through there on our way to Myrtle Beach and plan on staying the night. Can you suggest a motel in the area ?
The Mayberry Motor Inn is neat. It has a room there with many items from Aunt Bee's estate.

Too bad people don't know the Bible the way they know the trivia answers
